"I'm fucked!!!" shouted a small boy with blonde locks and sky-blue eyes.

The old woman standing before the boy moved swiftly unbefitting of someone her age and slapped him hard, almost staggering him down.

"What the-hiss" the boy tried to let out another curse but the old woman caught his wrist strongly and dragged him outside the room ignoring his painful hiss.

"You leaching parasites are going to suck me dry!!! Do you have any idea how much money I had to spend for that healing potion you imbecile? No of course not! Because you only know how to eat and shit!!!" The old woman whispered venomously, mindful of the passerby as she dragged the blonde boy through the small village that looked like a European village from a few centuries back.

"Aghh" The old woman saw the boy not listening and tightened her grip causing him to groan painfully.

"Pay attention boy!" She warned while shooting a kind smile to a man standing outside the meat shop.

'A regular visitor and a donor…' the boy remembered.

"Listen and listen carefully, you will be getting only one meal a day starting today till you pay off the gold coin I spent on the portion. Is that clear?" The woman asked with a clear warning in her tone which the boy obviously noted as he nodded his head apprehensively.

'Here goes the only pleasure of my life…' the boy lamented before reminding himself.' Not that I expect much from the orphanage considering the world setting is similar to the medieval period, well at least I hope there is some magic in this world, considering the old bitch used some kind of potion to heal an injury that killed the previous body owner and… I hope I also have some transmigration perks or I'm gonna hate the experience ROB. You ain't gonna like my reviews, I'm telling ya.' The boy almost snickered which didn't go unnoticed by the old woman but she thought the boy whimpering at the thought of going hungry for the next few months and shot him a sadistic smirk.

-Blonde boy's POV-

I let the old hag drag me, while I reviewed the memories I received. Not much can be found in them as the boy was just a five years old, malnourished orphan from a small village.

But whatever I found was plenty helpful. Like the name of this body—Magnus. A 'great' name… pun intended.

The other thing that I found interesting was the language I've been speaking since earlier. It's called the Universal Language and apparently spoken by all the living beings in this world. How convenient, eh?

The last useful thing I found inside these memories was the kingdom this village is located in and its ruler's name which were Arendelle and Adam Francis Hart respectively.

Woah… the king's last name totally didn't remind me of a certain short comedian.

Anyway, these are the only important things I found in the boy's memories. There were a few lesser important things but let's not talk about them as we are already near the Orphanage and I don't want to annoy the old hag further lest I lose the last meal of the day.

"We are here." The old bitch announced and then quickly left for her office, but not before leaving one last sentence.

"Don't make any more problems and go to Erica she will give you the chores for the day… and no food today."

I just stood there as her words settled.

Ahh shit! This won't do, I was already hungry. I can't go the whole day without food and looking at the sun it is only past midday.

I need to somehow find something to eat, but first, let's deal with the biggest elephant in the room.

"Sigh~" Releasing a tired sigh I walked towards the room belonging to me according to my new memories.

Reaching there I saw multiple three-decker beds. "No privacy yay…." Walking towards 'my' bed, I softly plopped down and closed my eyes.

I reached down towards the neon blue light I had been feeling inside my head ever since I woke up here.

Immediately information flooded my head as a Status screen similar to gaming ones materialised inside my mind.

Huh? Wasn't this supposed to show my real name and age? Just as I thought this another piece of information flowed into my mind.

Huh? My name and age show as such because I'm already subconsciously considering my previous self dead and accepted this new life as a second chance.

"What a load of nonsense!!!" Or… is it? I mean I wasn't really happy in my previous life, but saying such would be ungrateful for the amazing gifts god has given me. But then again those also prevented me from reaching my goals.

I always had the option to safely fall back that's why I never tried my best and whenever I did, my efforts weren't recognised as I was my father's son and such was expected from me.

One of the reasons I never went against my father's wishes of not going to cities for further studies was because I was scared of failure, scared of wasting years of my life on something which would never be bigger than my father's legacy.

But as I went on with my life I started feeling trapped in my father's shadow and sometimes even in my brother's shadow. This led me to always wish for a new start with none of the expectations placed on me.

Just me and my drive to move forward and to be honest I also never found something worth going against my father, something worth fighting for. Even my dream of becoming a doctor once was something I only had because it was a highly respected, well-paying career and… my mother's desire also played a little part…. *Cough* big part.

But this world has something special that can help me become strong and let me walk on a path that I and many others dreamed of walking. A path to greatness that was never present in my previous world. A path that reached the very sky and enclosed it in my very own hands.

How am I sure of this? How can I not? The magical portion that healed the wound this body's previous owner received without leaving any scars can not be explained without any supernatural involvement. And if such a small village has something so miraculous then what about the bigger, wider world outside the village?

The portion is not the only supernatural thing from my memories— the magical lamp lying inside Matron's office also proves the existence of the supernatural.

And biggest of all my Reincarnation and the Status screen floating inside my mind. There's nothing more magical than these two phenomena.

All this proves that it is possible to walk on a path that can help me climb the ladder and become something more something not my father or anyone from my old world could ever hope to become. Something Great.
