Chapter 9 - 8:Improving Stats

.

If I analyse Blaze's words further and focus on his lack of awareness of the higher Tier I can predict the average power of this country which is Tier-2 to Tier-4 with Tier-2 doing most jobs and Tier-4 being the peak powerhouses of this country.

I can safely say I have spawned in a low-level area like any innocent Isekai protagonist or going with the Xianxia trope. I'm probably reincarnated in a countryside of a small country that is part of a small empire that is one of the leading forces of this continent which honestly is just a small island compared to the real continent of this lower world.

As for the higher world-

*cough* let's not go there.

Looking at Blaze who's already gone back to swinging his sword—Freaking training maniac— I questioned.

"So they only check body parameters to measure the potential? Isn't it a bit inaccurate?"

Blake stopped swinging his sword again… annoyed. Kid if you're going to get annoyed this easily then at least finish the damn conversation before swinging that stick.

"There are devices that can measure potential but those are rare. Don't worry if you get selected your potential will be tested in the Royal Academy. But enough of this topic, now listen… next week there will be a monthly village meeting inside the city hall. The village chief's house won't have much protection and the old bitch will also be gone there. We can easily sneak out of the orphanage and enter the village chief house."

"Okay… I'm fine either way since I only have to distract the two guards." I cooly replied to Blaze's words but for some reason, he gave me a smirk that gave me bad premonition. And his next proved why.

"Don't think it will be easy if you get caught or seen by those guards you better kill them or your fate won't be pretty."

"Why" I questioned with a frown.

"I thought you were smart but you're clearly not." This brat…

"But anyways I'm saying that because I'll be gone from the village after stealing back my family's belongings and once the village chief finds out he will be looking out for it and you will be his only clue if the guards find your identity that is" Blake explained which caused me to gulp. I think I might have naively gotten myself into some deep shit.

"Now that we're done with it. Go away and don't disturb me till the agreed time." Blake said and shooed me away.

I didn't say anything and walked away as whatever patience I had for holding from using the system finally broke.

With a giant grin on my face, I walked to my shared room and luckily no one was there.

Lying on the bed I opened the system interface.

Woah! I have a total of 14 SEV the same amount of Chickens I killed. So that means a Chicken's soul is worth a single SEV.

Now the question stands how many stats I can raise with 14 SEV? I doubt it will raise much but even a small rise in strength is better than nothing.

Crossing my fingers I placed a single SEV in Constitution and Immediately I felt a ticklish feeling all over my body like ants crawling but for not long as a pleasant cool feeling washed over the unpleasant feeling.

Kimoc-

*cough*

I almost moaned. Opening my eyes I saw no one inside the room but for some reason, I felt I lost some respect.

Ignoring the weird thought I brought the status screen again and saw no changes in my constitution despite feeling a clear increase in my body parameters.

"Probably too little improvement to show any changes…" muttering to myself I poured in four more points which meant a total of five points. The same feeling washed over me only slightly stronger, fortunately, I didn't make any weird noise this time.

Bringing out the status screen again I saw no changes which caused me to place five more points and only after that did my stats change. It went from 0.01 to 0.02 doubling my stats.

This told me two things. First- the system's lowest measurement is 0.01 and a total of 10 SEV is needed to raise it by a single decimal point. And for some reason, I feel it will only increase as I invest more points in stats.

Closing down the status screen and preserving the rest of SEV I stood up and started to check the changes in my body, ignoring the weird gazes of other occupants.

The first thing I felt was the lightness of my body and the lack of tiredness I was feeling before. Jumping lightly a few times I got accustomed to my new parameters and roughly analysed how high I could jump and how much faster I could move.

With me now having 2/10 or 1/5 of an average adult's body parameters in a child's body will make me faster and more agile than an adult with similar parameters.

Moving my child's body won't take that much energy and power to begin with. After all mass and weight are a factor. If I push two objects with different weights, applying the same amount of strength on both, the one with lesser weight will move further and faster.

Though my small body size is not all sunshine, it also has disadvantages mainly my striking power and defence will be lower than an adult's despite having the same body parameters.

After doing some more tests like shadow boxing and lifting objects I decided to sleep as I started to feel hungry despite just eating a few minutes back.

It didn't take a genius to know why… the stronger body I have the more energy it will need and that means more food I need to consume.

"It will going to be a problem," I muttered to myself while drifting to sleep.
