Chapter 4 - 3:Sorting out

And biggest of all my Reincarnation and the Status screen floating inside my mind. There's nothing more magical than these two phenomena.

All this proves that it is possible to walk on a path that can help me climb the ladder and become something more something not my father or anyone from my old world could ever hope to become. Something Great.

Speaking of Reincarnation… How did I get reincarnated-no! the the question I should be asking is whether someone voluntarily reincarnated me and if so then why? Am I some kind of entertainment for some Omnipotent being? Or I'm a vessel to some eldritch entity? Or… God killed me by mistake and reincarnated me with a system as an apology?

Hahaha! As if!

Out of the three, I eliminated the last one without much thought, It's hardly imaginable let alone believable.

As for the other two… I don't really mind becoming an entertainment for some Random Omnipotent Being. It's hardly any inconvenience, it's like someone writing a biography, or making a movie on me, or a vlog. I will be doing something similar to celebrities, streamers, and vloggers but instead of getting paid with money I got paid by this second chance.

The problem is the last remaining option. I don't know how to feel about being a vessel to some OuterGod. But again I would try to pay back the entity for the second as long as it doesn't cross my bottom line. Sacrifice some souls and lives? You got it. I mean how hard would it be to get some piece of shit to sacrifice in medieval society. Spread some Chaos? No problem. It's not hard with my modern knowledge and System.

But what I'm afraid is of becoming a mindless slave and if I'm going to become a mindless slave to some Eldritch Horror I would rather explode my soul and die for real.

"Sigh~ let's stop these thoughts lest I fall into a deeper pit." I reminded myself before focusing back on the Status screen.

Since it's not very complicated there isn't much to find well except the Tier and System Energy Value, but regardless an explanation for each would have been appreciated.

And the moment I thought that information flooded my mind once more.

"Ah! I see…" The Tier is the rank of once existence, it shows their limits and power. The higher ones Tier is the stronger and more capable they are. Well, this also proves the existence of the supernatural in this world.

Moving on, the constitution stat is pretty simple. It is the sum of all body attributes.

But that leaves me with another dilemma. My constitution stat is 0.01.

No matter from which angle I see it, it's low. And considering my spiritual stat which is the culmination of my soul and mind is 0.17 I would say 0.10 is an average stat for a normal human adult since I'm reincarnated my spiritual stat is above average.

"But 0.01 shouldn't be abnormal for a malnourished child. That's 1/10 of an average adult stats."

Leaving aside my meagre constitution stat, I focused on the most important part of the System— System Energy Value. A fancy name for something that only does the basic functions of Shop points or System points of a normal gaming system.

The reason I said basic was because the System Energy Value or SEV is not as OP as the Shop points. In the first place, my own system doesn't have a Shop. So no buying OP bloodline and cheat skills from the start.

But that doesn't mean SEV is useless. No far from it. The three functions of SEV I currently know are already more than enough.

The first one is the ability to increase my stats. The most basic one.

The second is the ability to open spacetime portals to anywhere. Even to other universes and realities, but such action takes huge SEV meaning I won't be opening a multiversal portal anytime soon.

The third and last ability I know of SEV is the ability to Transmigrate and Reincarnate at the cost tremendous amount of SEV. That means I'm technically Immortal… if we leave aside the huge SEV that I might never be able to collect in my whole life.

And why am I saying that? Well because collecting SEV is not easy. I only know three ways to collect them and one of them is not even feasible for me right now.

Those two ways are—

*CREECK* the creaking noise of the door opening interrupted my thoughts.

Opening my eyes I saw a small ginger girl with freckles about nine years old entering the room.

From the original Magnus's memories, I recognised her as Erica, the one who taught him the basic alphabet and numbers.

"Magnus! Justin told me you're back! How are you?!" Erica questioned loudly the moment her eyes met mine.

"Yeah… I just got back, give me a few minutes to settle down, I'll find you. Madam told me to get my daily chores from you."

"Is that so~ but Justin told me you got back an hour ago, I already delayed the schedule because I was waiting for you, can't delay more." Justin you tattletale sonovabeech.

Cursing Justin, I gave Erica a weak smile and spoke.

"By the way, why does the orphanage look awfully clean."

Erica gave an excited smile at my question.

"Some people from the Royal Academy of Arrendelle will come in a few weeks." She answered to which I couldn't help but ask confusedly "Why?" I couldn't wrap my head around why people from a place called Royal Academy would visit such a remote town.

"I dun know," Erica answered which confused me further.
