Chapter 5 - Thorrhia

Once Villaria finished saying that, she called two of her kids over.

"Thorrhia, Vlaydor. Come here." She called out.

Then immediately, two beautiful kids—a female and male, came out from their rooms to look at their mom who was carrying a strange baby.

"Mom, whose baby is that?" Thorrhia, who was around the age of sixteen and had long black hair and bright blue irises, immediately asked with an intense curious look on her face.

"Your newly adopted brother, Thorrhia. I saw this poor baby in a basket on the ground. I couldn't just leave him there to suffer in the cold, and from probably wild animals if they perceived his smell and warm, fresh blood." Villaria said while Thorrhia nodded her head in understanding. She knew this was her mother's way. She was a really kind, compassionate, and empathetic benevolent woman, always thinking of others first before thinking of herself.

Speaking further, she said with a stern look on her face, "Since he has arrived in this mansion with us, you will treat him as your brother. You won't fight him or make him feel bad that he lives with us in this house."

"If I should sense such a thing, you will be punished. Am I clear? Same goes to you as well, Vlaydor. None of you should mistreat him. Let the values I inculcated into the both of you play out whenever you are around him. Okay?"

"I want to see him grow up loving all of you wholeheartedly. And that can only happen if you don't make him feel like a stranger in our home. Am I understood?"

"Yes, mom." Thorrhia and Vlaydor said at the same time.

"Good." Villaria said, nodding her head.

"So, mom, what is his name?" Thorrhia suddenly asked.

"I had thought of that already. I will name him Glade. His full name will be Glade Gelthorr Gaelvenmore. Since he is now a part of our family, it's only right he bears our last names." Villaria answered while Thorrhia nodded her head.

She then walked towards her mom and said, "Mom, let me see him."

Villaria subtly nodded and handed over Aeden, now Glade to Thorrhia who gently carried him in her arms and began to sing for him. Vlaydor also came over to look at the baby and saw that he looked really handsome.

As Thorrhia continued to sing for Glade, Glade who was smiling, raised his arms to rub his tiny baby fingers all over Thorrhia's face who only chuckled and continued to sing. Instantly, she had bonded with the baby that she was with him for a long time, sweetly singing for him.

At the moment, Glade had fallen asleep peacefully in Thorrhia's arms who was currently seated on a large sofa. When Villaria came over her, she took the baby off Thorrhia's arms and took him to his room where he would sleep.

After doing so, she returned to where Thorrhia was seated and sat down right beside her. Then with a smile appearing on her face, she said, "Thorrhia, I will tell you first, since you are more mature. Then I will tell your brother later in the future."

Continuing, she said further, "Glade isn't an ordinary child that we picked up on our way home. He is way more than that. He is the son of the Priestess popularly known as the Blazing Violet Ring Priestess. We found her dead body just before a basket that had Glade in it."

"What?" Thorrhia who was exceedingly shocked, exclaimed loudly.

Villaria didn't say anything, allowing Thorrhia to finish processing what she mentioned. After a while, Thorrhia looked at her mother with that great degree of shock still etched on her face and asked, "Mom, won't that bring destruction upon us? That's the child of a dead Priestess that you took. If her killers know about the baby, they will seek for him and trace him to this place."

"I know, Thorrhia. I know. But I believe it won't happen that way. I can just tell. I also thought of what you said at first. But after feeling something from the baby and from the atmosphere that previously surrounded us, I know for sure that the decimation that would follow such a dangerous brave act won't happen. Our family is free from whatever destruction that might accompany such an extremely perilous feat."

"Just keep your mind at ease and continue to look out for your new little brother. And yes, why I told you this—that is he is the male born of a Priestess, is to make you understand that he is unique and will start to exhibit exceptional traits and features as he grows. They won't be ordinary or common Blessing-charged feats, considering his lineage and great bloodline."

"Therefore, they are definitely ones that will make him easily stand out in a gathering that will consist of tens of thousands of even Blessed people."

"And I know how bad you wanted Blessings that even with our amazing level of wealth and connection, we sadly couldn't get a single one for you."

"So, I took it as a sign from the universe that it wanted to pay us back for our efforts. If not, we won't have come across the baby. We could have taken many other directions and entirely miss out on this great gift that awaited us."

"Though, there were numerous perilous circumstances that surrounded it, only the brave and bold will truly be rewarded for their courage and dauntless ability to take risks."

"So, with this manner of thinking, perhaps the hands of fate and destiny were at play then." Villaria said while Thorrhia nodded her head in understanding, producing a delighted smile on her face.

She then told her mom and said with that smile still hung on her lips, "Mom, thank you for extending your compassion to the baby who was all alone in that region. It was a really lovely and kind thing of you to do. And yes, I will love with him all my heart. I won't cause him to ever feel neglected."

"He will be happy that he lives with us in our home. He is going to love me, his big sister really much." Thorrhia said and smiled. While Villaria nodded her head and lovingly stroked Thorrhia's hair before standing to her feet to retire to her room for the night.

"Good night, my lovely daughter." She said. While Thorrhia nodded her head and replied the same, saying, "Good night. Sweet, lovely mom."
