Dylan POV
"Who are you?!" I said to the voice.
"Vengeance!!"
"Get out of my head." I screamed at the voice.
"Ha ha ha ha ha." The voice laughed evilly.
"I see you are not ready for the journey ahead, allow vengeance to finish it for you. Nighty night." The voice said and I lost control of my body. I tried to regain control but Vengeance was too powerful.
I watched as Draco tried to stop me, I screamed when Vengeance started draining the life out of Draco slowly.
"No ooooo, leave Draco alone." I screamed as I saw his eyes flutter, he was struggling to be awake.
"Dylan, listen to my voice. You have to control this." It was Draco, I didn't know I could communicate with him telepathically.
"I can't. I don't know how to. Help me!" I cried out.
"Dylan!" I heard him whisper. I looked and saw his eyes close.
"Draco! Draco! Please wake up! I am sorry, don't leave me!" I pleaded as I banged on the transparent cage.
I didn't know what to do and I was caged.
"Mom! Mom! I need your help." I cried out, but I got no answer.
Just as I was about to give up, I heard another voice, it sounded elderly, no, it was a girly voice.
"Listen to my voice, you are stronger than vengeance. Be calm and you will overpower him."
I obeyed the voice and took in a deep breath, I have never been calm since my parents died, I was always anxious and scared. But for Draco I would do anything to save him. I remembered my mom's smell, her delicate foods, her hugs,and my dad's love. I kept on remembering my parents until I became calm enough to take over my body.
"This is impossible, you are not strong enough to." Vengeance screamed as I slowly took over my body. " I will be back when you least expect me. I will be backkk!"
I regained full control of my body and Draco collapsed to the ground.
"Draco!" I screamed as I landed on the floor and ran towards him.
"Draco, wake up." I screamed as I shook him.
"He is not going to wake up that way."
A shadow came over me and I looked up, it was a girl. My mouth fell open because it was impossible for anyone to pass the barriers that surrounded the house, unless…
"Yes, your little show brought down the barriers. Now if you will excuse me, I have to help your dragon." She said and she started doing some spells. Her eyes turned blue and energy started flowing into Draco.
Soon she was done.
"Uhmmmm, he is still not awake!" I shouted.
She rolled her eyes and folded her arms.
"Dylan stop!" Draco woke up screaming.
"I am sorry, so sorry." I cried as I hugged Draco.
He sighed and hugged me back.
"Urmmmm, sorry to break this sweet reunion but I think your little show attracted some people." She said, interrupting us.
"How is that…. The illusion and barrier spell is broken!" Draco shouted and ran towards the house.
"We have to go, Now!!" Draco cried out as he continued to run.
The trio ran to the house and Draco packed his spell books, magic potions and purse.
I packed some food and my spell books.
"We can fight them, I am stronger now." I said, excited for some action.
"No!!" Draco and the mystery lady shouted at once.
I was shocked and wondered if they were on it together.
"Listen Dylan, you are in a lot of trouble but I will deal with that when we are safe. We don't know the strength of our enemies and we can't go into blindly. We have to fall back." Dylan said.
"But…"
"I agree with your dragon. we have to go Now!" She said,
Before I could utter another word, Dragon opened a portal. She pushed me into it and I screamed.
"Ufffffff!" I groaned as I landed flat on the ground.
She laughed and helped me up.
"Where did you learn how to do that spell? That was dark magic." Draco asked, he was furious.
"I.. I don't know." I stuttered.
I was shocked when I was lifted into the air.
"You better tell me everything or you are going down." Draco said as he flew me very high into the sky, "After that show you put on earlier, you need to rest to recharge your powers."
"Mom! Mom has been teaching me how to use my powers, sometimes in the dream, sometimes in a trance and sometimes I see her and we train together." I spilled out everything I kept from him.
"And you kept all this a secret from me?" He asked, disappointment was evident in his voice.
"You are always paranoid about everything and I didn't want you to get more worried about me." I explained.
I tried to use my powers to get out of his grasp, but nothing happened.
"Is that all?" He asked, " Is there something you want to tell me about what all that was about? Did your mom teach you that?"
I felt him loosen his grip on me, I was dangling in the air for my dear life.
"No No, I don't know what happened. I…. I couldn't control myself once I heard the voice. That's all. I swear I am telling the truth. Please put me down." I pleaded.
"Your wish is my command." He said as he let go of me.
"I meant you should put me downnnnn.." I screamed as I fell to my doom. "Draccoooo….I hate youuu.."
I closed my eyes as I got closer to the ground, I expected to make contact with the ground but nothing happened.
I opened one eye slowly and looked around wondering if I was dead.
"Next time you keep any secret from me, I won't save you." Draco said as he let go of me and I fell flat face to the ground.
I didn't care if he was angry at him, I rushed and hugged him tight. I was so glad he was alive,
"I was scared I was alone again and I would have to work to feed myself. Imagine me working to feed myself….The horror!" I said in my mind.
"Really!! That is the reason why you want me alive." Draco's voice invaded my thoughts.
"Of course not…" I replied back, I had forgotten that we can communicate telepathically, the only problem is that I don't know how to stop it.
"Stop thinking about anything… empty your mind…. Though I have to protect him from now on, I can't work to feed myself." I said to myself, as I tried shutting Draco out of my mind.
"urgghhhhhh, I can still hear you." Draco's voice invaded my thoughts again.
"Yuck! If you are done being lovey dovey…. where are we?" She asked.
"Urhhhhhh, who are you? And how did you find us" Draco asked, he ready himself for an attack. One of the things he suspects are
strangers, especially nice ones.
"Do you want the long version or the short one?" She asked with her hands folded.
"How about we start with your name?" Draco asked, he formed a fireball and aimed it at her.
