Chapter 12 - Phase Three

Dylan POV

Anele's training was beginning to pay off. I could talk to the Alpha's daughter and the Alpha without wanting to kill them. I still want to but not now.

I worked hard and made them trust me. I was able to learn alot about them from the Alpha's daughter. She was a chatterbox and it was very annoying but helpful.

It's a pity she had to suffer for her father's sin, she was very beautiful. She had long black hair flowing down to her shoulder, her hazel eyes which were cute, her perfectly aligned teeth, her slender shape and a lovely personality.

She was beginning to grow on me.

Unlike her father, she was naive and very kind. She made sure I was paid double the amount I had charged.

"Simon, I am nervous about tomorrow." She said to me with tears in her eyes.

"Oh no darling, tomorrow is your day. Why are you nervous, you should be happy." I said putting on my friendly face.

"I have this feeling that something bad is going to happen." She paused then continued, "I have been having these nightmares and I am scared. Should I cancel the wedding?" She asked me.

Poor girl. She was not wrong about tomorrow, she seemed nice and it was a shame that she would pay for the sins of her father.

I sighed, I can't afford her calling off the wedding, it would spoil everything.

"Darling, it is normal to be nervous a day before your wedding, you are just having pre-wedding jitters. Everything will be fine. You need to relax and get some fresh air." I assured her, hoping I was able to convince her.

"You are right Simon. What would I do without you?" She said with a smile.

"I don't know, maybe curl up on your bed and cry." I said with a forced smile.

I packed some clothes and looked at her with yet another forced smile.

"You know what, why don't we go for a walk?" I said as I pulled her up.

She chuckled and followed me outside. Her bodyguard, who was Draco, gave me a look when he saw us outside.

"She wants to call off the wedding." I said to him telepathically, " I am taking her to the garden for a picnic."

"Alright, don't blow your cover." Draco replied as he followed us.

We walked to the kitchen and got some food and drinks. Then we moved to the garden and I spread the clothes on the floor and she laid on it. I laid another cloth and sat on it. We chatted and laughed, till she fell asleep.

I looked at the garden and saw how beautiful it was. I was so busy with revenge that I never took time to appreciate nature.

While looking at the flowers, a memory flashed in my head. My parents and I used to walk in this garden alot. I looked for the flowers I planted with them. I saw a rose flower, my mom's favorite and it bloomed beautifully.

I recalled my mom saying, "Roses are the one of the most beautiful flowers, but to get to them, you will get pricked by its thorns. You are this rose, Dylan, beautiful yet full of thorns. Before anyone can get to you, they will be pricked first."

"Mom…. Dad I miss you." I whispered.

Tears fell from my eyes as I looked at the rose. Anger filled my heart again as I crushed the rose, the thorns pierced my hands but I didn't care. Tomorrow I was going to carry out my revenge.

"Are you okay?" She asked

"Yes, just some allergies." I replied as I sneezed, pretending to be allergic to the flower I held.

She felt bad and urged us to go inside the mansion.

"I don't want you to fall sick a day before my wedding." She said, then hummed happily on our way back to the mansion

"Are you okay?" Dylan asked telepathically.

"I am not, but I will be tomorrow." I replied with my fists clenched

I followed her back to the mansion, it was time for phase three.

There was lots of chatter and clicking of glass in the hall. It was the wedding day and a lot of people were at the wedding. I saw the faces of those that betrayed my parents, at least the ones I saw that night.

"Dylan, take deep breaths. You will get your revenge soon." Draco whispered to me.

I smiled and continued my job. After the wedding it was the wedding party, this was the time to strike.

"Dylan, hold on.. it's not yet time." Draco warned me.

"It's now or never." I replied.

"Dylan, listen to me…."

"Alpha Ethan!" I shouted, drawing the attention of everyone.

Everyone at the party gasped.

"Is there a problem?" he asked with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Yes, I have a funny story to tell everyone here." I paused and looked around. I was pleased to get everyone's attention.

"Once upon a time, there lived a happy boy with his parents. He had everything he ever wanted;a loving family. His parents were friends with wolves and his dad was the alpha of those wolves."I paused and looked dead into the Alpha's eyes. "But wolves are supposed to be loyal to their alpha. Except these wolves were foxes in wolf's clothing. They betrayed their Alpha and set them up. They poisoned the wine that was used to celebrate his son's birthday."

I noticed the alpha becoming uneasy. He gave signs to the guards to wait for his command.

"Dad, what is going on?" His daughter asked.

I was enjoying all this as I felt my powers flow through me.

I had a sinister smile on my face as I continued, "what happened next? Hmmmmmmm… Ah yes! The next day, in the night just around midnight. Those foxes struck and killed his parents right before his eyes. But his parents were not the target, it was the son. The forbidden child. But they couldn't get him because he had escaped on a dragon's back. But that small boy has grown and is back for revenge."

"Dragons are extinct."

"That is not possible"

"What type of story is this?"

Everyone murmured wondering what was going on.

"Who are you?" Someone asked, I turned to look at the person and it was one of the murderers.

I slowly levitated up with a sinister smile. I saw the horrifying look on everyone's face.

"Doom, your worst nightmare!" I started laughing hysterically and my eyes turned red.
