Chapter 10 - Carrying Out Plans

Dylan's POV

Draco's plans were put to action, we were all ready and waiting for the carriage to pass by.

"How do we know what they look like?" I asked, turning to my companions.

"We don't. But it should not be that hard, maybe we will know through their scent." Draco explained.

"Do you know their scent?" I questioned, curiosity piqued.

"I… I think bread… like baked goods."Draco stuttered.

"That is properly incorrect Draco, they can't all smell like bread. It's either you don't know what you are saying or you are trying to impress me." I said with a hint of teasing.

Draco groaned and rolled his eyes, "The world doesn't revolve around you Dylan."

"But I revolve around your world." The moment the words left my mouth,I became nervous. Why on earth would I say that sort of thing?

Draco chuckled and ruffled my hair, "I am glad you revolve around my world Dylan….. let's focus on the task ahead."

Luckily for me, some carriages arrived on time to save me from embarrassing myself further.

While Draco and I were looking for which one had the people we wanted,Anele was laughing at us.

She said some spells and waved her hands. Everyone fell asleep immediately and Draco looked very shocked while I on the other hand was impressed. We started our search and were finally able to get them. Anele casted an hypnotizing spell on them and they followed us to the hotel. No one suspected a thing and soon we got a room for them. While Draco was turning the room into a prison with magic, Anele and I collected what we needed from them.

"Who are you going to be?" Anele asked, still ransacking their bags.

"Event planner. What about you?" I asked, I turned to look at her.

"Head Chef. I know a thing or two about cooking. I will also help you with the event planning since you have no idea about it." Anele replied.

"So Draco is left with a personal bodyguard, I hope he will be okay with that.I don't know why they needed a bodyguard when I am sure that they have a lot." Dylan stated.

"It's like a business, they came together so you have to pay for all their services. Besides, I am sure Draco will be fine, he was a former assassin, the best in the heavens. He was undetectable and untraceable. He….."

"How did you know that?" Draco shouted at her, his hands glowed and soon two fireballs were formed ready to be shot at her.

"I…..  Can you please quench that fire?" Anele pleaded.

"Not until you have answered my question… I knew there was something odd about you."

I was surprised at what happened next, Anele burst into laughter. I looked at Draco who had a cute…. I mean confused look.

"It's either you are slow or you are a dimwit. You know you are in the book of legends, the only dragon alive. So I put one and two together and got three." Anele said with a smirk.

Draco's fireball slowly quenched and he looked at Anele with a puzzled look.

"What book?" Draco asked.

"The mortals did something useful with their time for once." She folded her arms and continued with no emotion on her face, "You are in a book they wrote, all your deeds and journey."

Draco didn't know what to say, we all stood in silence staring at each other until I decided to speak.

"What is the next move?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Plan b! We moved to plan B." Draco looked at me with relief on his face, he seemed grateful for breaking the silence.

We all picked our names, we hoped that the Alpha family didn't know their individual names. I changed my name to Simon, Draco changed his to Lily(since he is a girl undercover) but Anele kept hers.

We moved back to the scene of the ambush and was ready to blend in.

"Dylan, why don't you cast the spell this time around?" Draco suggested.

I was nervous and hoped I would not mess the spell up.

"Today you remember us as before. See us as one of you!" I screamed the spells and felt power surge from me.

Soon I was done with the spell and Anele reversed the spell, they all woke up with yawns and we walked to the carriage of the trio.

"Moment of truth Dylan, let's see if your spell worked." Draco said as we got closer to the carriage.

Everyone around the carriage looked at us with confusion then it changed to the look of recognition. I let out the breath I was holding and looked at Draco.

"Good job,You did well. But don't relax yet, there is a lot you are yet to do and learn."

I looked at Draco's expressionless face and wondered if the day would come where he would give me the praise I deserve. Just as I was about to look away, a smile flickered at the corner of his lip, it disappeared almost immediately it appeared.

I smiled and looked away, soon we were at the mansion.

"You have to control your emotions Dylan, you can't blow our cover." Draco warned.

I nodded with a forced smile, but deep down inside me, I was raging with fury.

I clenched my fist as I listened to the alpha and his daughter. I looked at the man that betrayed my father, a few wrinkles here and there and he has aged since I last saw him.

He smiled as he listened to his daughter, that same smile he had when he killed my father.

Here they are free and happy, while I was living like a rat all these years.

"So I hope you got all the things I said, I want my wedding to be the best." She said excitedly.

I was furious, I could feel vengeance breaking free. I tried calming down but the more I saw how happy they were the more I wanted to tear them to shreds.
