Dylan pov
A year later, A day before my birthday. I was exhausted after training with Draco on how to use my powers wisely so that I won't get tired when in battle with an enemy. And training with my mom on how to use my destruction powers. I collapsed on the bed and fell asleep immediately.
I found myself in a white room with nothing in it, I looked around and wondered where I was. There was no door or window and I didn't have a good feeling about the room. I started touching the walls to see if I would trigger something so that a door would open.
I heard a noise at my back and was shocked to see myself standing at the other side of the room. I thought it was my reflection until I looked at the person's face and it had a sinister smile on his face. I felt chills go down my spine and I didn't like this one bit.
"Who are you?" I asked, cautiously walking closer to my look alike.
"I am you." The person replied with a sinister smile and walked towards me slowly.
"What do you want? Where did you come from? Where are we?" I asked a series of questions, I was uneasy being in the same room with this stranger.
The person didn't say anything and kept on smiling until suddenly I couldn't move. I struggled to move but I was still like a statue. The person walked towards me with a sinister smile and evil in his eyes, he slowly entered my body.
"It's time for our revenge!" The person screamed over and over again as I struggled to move my body. I woke up screaming, when I looked around, I noticed I was not in my room. I was outside and very high above the ground. I looked at my body and saw blood all over me, I thought it was mine and quickly touched my body to know if I was injured. I sighed with relief when I was sure it was not mine, but realization slowly set in when I wondered whose blood was all over my body.
"Oh No!" I cried out when I looked at the amount of blood on me. "Whose blood is this?"
I threw up and felt lightheaded. I collapsed to the ground with a thud. The last thing I heard before losing consciousness was "Nighty Night!"
I woke up the next day on my bed and I wondered if it was all a dream. I decided to keep it from Draco but it didn't stop there, I would wake up outside either in the air or on the ground. Sometimes naked and covered in blood, sometimes my clothes would be covered in blood. And the weird part was there was always a purse filled with money in my hands.I started having difficulty sleeping because I didn't want to kill someone again.
The guilt was killing me inside, I don't know how many people I have killed. After waking up in the night with four bags of coins and completely soaked in blood, I decided to talk to Draco about it in the morning.
"Draco." I called his name, I was nervous.
"Yes. It will be ready soon." He groaned.
"I know. But I need to ask you about something else." I asked.
"No extra food." Draco scowled at me.
"Can you please stop and listen to me?" I screamed at Draco furiously.
Draco paused what he was doing and slowly turned to me.
He placed the bowl he held on the table and folded his arms with an eyebrow raised.
"I am sorry I screamed at you, but I wanted to ask you a question." I apologized.
I looked at him, expecting him to say something but he just kept looking at me.
"I read in one of your books about waking up in a different place that is not where you initially slept. I wanted to know what could cause it and if there was a remedy for it." I asked, I didn't want him to suspect something.
"like sleepwalking?" He asked as he relaxed his eyebrow.
"Something like that." I replied.
"Well, maybe you are not getting enough sleep or you are taking too much alcohol or you are anxious about something. The person just needs to relax, meditation helps too." He replied with no expression on his face.
"What if the person wakes up with blood all over their body?" I whispered.
Draco was silent for some time, he looked at me as if I had said something I shouldn't have.
I was getting nervous with the silence in the kitchen, I looked away nervously because I was afraid Draco would see through my eyes. The only sound in the room was the water dripping in the kitchen sink and my own heart beat.
"Are you okay? You don't normally ask this type of question. Is something bothering you?" Draco asked, he walked towards me and placed his hand on my forehead.
I laughed nervously, hoping to play it cool. I assured him that I was fine. I didn't want him to suspect me so I quickly changed the subject.
"Can I have two plates please?" I asked with a smile.
"Urghhhhhh, I fell for your trick again. Fine, you can have as many as you want." He replied with a groan. He looked at me for sometime as if studying me before he continued his cooking.
I started getting used to waking up covered in blood with a bag of coins in my hand. My mood started becoming bad and I would snap at every little thing. I was always grumpy and the urge to take revenge on those that killed my parents was getting stronger as days passed by.
Two years later, I just turned eighteen and tomorrow was my parent's death anniversary.
"I am an adult now and I am ready to take revenge on my parents' killers." I yelled at him.
I was beginning to lose my patience and I was hungry for revenge.
He groaned and looked at me,"You are not ready for that, besides you still have a lot to learn." he calmly replied to me and it was very annoying.
"That is what you have been saying for the past two years. I aced all my training and I am ready for revenge." I continued to shout.
For two years, I have been begging her to allow me to leave the house. But he refused.
"Dylan, you are not ready. When you are, I will let you know." he replied.
"I have been cooped up in this house since we arrived here. I feel like a prisoner, I need some fresh air." I shouted, "I needed to see what the outside world looked like."
"Is this about your parent's death anniversary tomorrow?" he asked.
I kept silent, I was slowly going mad with loneliness and he had the guts to think it was about my parent's death anniversary. I was slowly losing control of my powers. I flared my nostrils and clenched my teeth.
He moved towards me. He placed her hands on my shoulder and said, "Can't we celebrate your birthday peacefully? I even got you strawberry and vanilla cake, the type you love best."
Fucking hell, I am going to rip off his mouth.
"He is being very annoying, why don't we teach her a lesson." A voice in my head advised me.
I sometimes hear a particular voice in my head since that night. But it was merely just conversations, this was the first time the voice told me to harm anything. But at this point I was too furious to care.
Fuck It. It all happened in a flash, I used my power and threw him through the wall.
I watched with satisfaction as Draco flew through the walls. Dusts flew into the air and I powered up. I flew towards him with fury and full force, we clashed and he punched my face which I returned with a kick to his stomach.
He breathed out fire and each time I successfully dodged it, he slammed me in the face with his fist.
"Is that all you got?" he yelled as he slammed me on the stomach.
"I hate you!" I screamed as I tried to land a hit.
"The feeling is mutual." he replied as he flung me into the air and followed it with a series of blows on me.
"Good night!" he yelled and kicked me into the ground.
"Not bad! Maybe next time you can actually defeat me. " he said and laughed.
"Will you allow her to mock you? She thinks you are a weak orphan who can't take care of herself." The voice in my head mocked me.
"You are mean today." I replied.
"I have been nice to your weak ass for a long time and I can't stand it anymore. You are weak and cannot even avenge your parents. All you do is take instructions like the wimp you are." The voice continued to mock me.
I was shocked at the words that the voice said to me. I thought the voice all this while was my imagination and due to loneliness. I was shocked it had a personality of its own.
"Who are you?!" I asked the voice, I didn't like this one bit.
"Vengeance!!"
