Chapter 35 - Another World (3)

Aaron hurried to finish his meal and also extinguished the fire. If there was a wagon, there must be a road nearby and a final destination that could be a city, town, or village.

After he chewed the last pieces of the fish, Aaron wondered if he should contact the people on the wagon… maybe it wasn't a good idea, and he should just follow them from behind… that would only make him more suspicious if he is noticed, though.

"I am an alien here. I should be cautious in order not to be caught by the people here and become their new toy for scientific experiments," Aaron thought. "The aspects didn't warn me of that, but I should be mindful since I could become the enemy of this entire world… or the people in it."

It was very likely that such a thing would happen… words won't be effective to the ears of people who are creating mass destruction tools; they will have to know that Aaron was dangerous, and for him to be dangerous, he needed the power and the fact that he did dangerous things.

While he was thinking about all that, Aaron crossed the river and then headed to the point where he saw the wagon. He found a road there, and he began to follow it just by walking.

"I guess I should increase my perception to make sure that I will catch people when they are looking at me," Aaron thought. "The most dangerous ones are those who are always trying to hide themselves or their intentions."

Aaron also increased the level of Dash, just to be safe in case he has to use it for one reason or the other. In any case, Aaron didn't have the chance to see a driver or anything pulling the carriage since the road was turning to the side… he had to o find it at a fucking curve…

"I can't see it anymore, but I guess this is for the best. I would be found if there was someone on the back of the carriage," Aaron thought and then began to follow the path.

The area ahead seemed pretty calm, even though it was pretty close to a river and forest that had some low-level monsters. Most people would be able to handle them, so that kind of species wasn't a real trouble.

As Aaron entered the new area, he was greeted by a picturesque landscape that captivated his senses. The air felt fresh and invigorating, carrying the subtle scent of blooming wildflowers. The lush, vibrant greenery stretches as far as the eye can see, creating a soothing and serene ambient.

In the distance, Aaron spotted a series of majestic hills and mountains that rose proudly against the sky. Their peaks were crowned with wisps of swirling clouds, giving them an ethereal appearance. The hills and mountains are covered with a patchwork of different shades of green, indicating a diverse range of vegetation.

As he explored further, Aaron discovered that the hills were gently rolling, forming graceful curves across the landscape. They are carpeted with soft grasses and dotted with wildflowers of various hues, painting the scene with splashes of vibrant colors. The hills provide a perfect vantage point to watch the breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

The mountains, on the other hand, were more rugged and imposing. Their slopes are covered with dense forests, where towering trees reach towards the heavens. Once again, Aaron thought that such a world didn't look like it was about to be destroyed… but just like the other one, the catastrophe wouldn't be natural, but man-made.

Aaron followed that road for about four hours before he finally could see a village in the distance. When that happened, he immediately moved to the side in order not to be noticed. He didn't see anyone outside since it was time for lunch, but it was better to be careful.

The mountains were only a couple of kilometers ahead, and the road continued toward them. They probably would lead to another village, town, or city. Still, before checking those places, Aaron decided to start slow.

"My eyesight improved a fair bit… even while I am five hundred meters away, I can see the place more than a little bit well," Aaron thought. "Let's check how they live, how strong they are, and if they are doing anything suspicious."

Aaron looked for a grove nearby, but he didn't find it. Still, there were plenty of hills that he could use. The downside of that was the fact that some rain clouds were coming from behind, and it seemed that the night would be cold and humid.

Before long, Aaron found some people living in their houses and heading toward some large buildings. He felt quite good while watching things unfold while he was acting like a spy sitting down on the ground and studying the area ahead. Still, his thoughts vanished as soon as he saw the people from their fronts. While they were wearing clothes similar to humans, the people that Aaron saw had long pointy ears, they had no hair on their bodies, and their skin was green…
