Aaron didn't have time for fights. He was already fighting against the rain and the weight of the things that he was carrying… the last thing that he needed now was to fight against monsters and animals. Unfortunately, they had other plans for him.
As Aaron continued his frenzied sprint, the chilling cries of nature became more distinct. A faint rustling of leaves accompanied the low growls resonating from the darkness. The pack of two-horned wolves, their silhouettes barely visible through the rain and mist, stalked him with calculated intent.
The wolves, adorned with majestic sets of curved horns atop their heads, exude an aura of primal power. Their eyes gleamed with an otherworldly intensity, reflecting a mix of hunger, curiosity, and predatory cunning. The sound of their heavy paws and snarling breaths merges with the rainfall, creating an intimidating symphony of nature's fury.
As Aaron darted further along the treacherous mountain path, the wolves closed in, their movements coordinated and purposeful. The leader of the pack took the lead, flanking the runner from one side, while the other wolf followed suit on the opposite flank. Their tactics suggest a careful strategy, an ambush designed to corner their prey.
"These guys here are a bit smarter. I will give them that," Aaron thought and then stopped running.
As if the leader of the pack wanted to show how it was done, it increased its speed to attack Aaron. The beast howled in anger once more before opening its massive jaws and then jumping to bite Aaron's neck.
Even in that annoying terrain, Aaron moved to the side and slipped on the wet path but still managed to dodge the strike. At the same time, he swung the horns of the other monsters downwards and managed to blind one of the beast's eyes. The two-horned wolf howled in pain while glaring at him.
"Sorry, mate," Aaron muttered. "My ancestors survived against sabertooth tigers and grizzly bears for a reason, and it wasn't to let me die at the hands of a little puppy like you."
The creature didn't like to be insulted like that and then dashed toward Aaron again. This time, it raised its body after jumping and then tried to scratch its head with some massive claws. Aaron blocked them with the horns of those creatures and pierced the paws of the alpha a bit, but the weight and the strength of the wolf were higher than he had anticipated…. it was bigger than a human, after all.
"Where is my magic when I truly needed it?" Aaron asked while he was being pushed backward.
The wolves had completed an encirclement around them, but they were only watching. Aaron could tell that the one who kills him will have the best chunk of his body. It was probably his ass… Vanessa told him many times that he had a nice ass, but he didn't know if he should feel happy for that since she never truly complimented his Excalibur. He also didn't know if he wanted her to say anything related to it… he liked her pure the way she was.
Regardless, Aaron forgot about that when the claws of the beasts began to reach his arms, and the horns in his hands began to crack; that wasn't good…
Aaron moved his body to the side, and then the weight of the beast made him lose the exchange. Still, he escaped the direct hit by making the beast move to the side, and then he kicked its stomach.
The monster grunted in pain, and that gave Aaron enough time to fix his posture by raising his arms and then swinging down both of the horns toward the monster's head. The horns broke, but not before piercing the skull and damaging the brain of the creatures.

"Fishing is a lot more efficient than this," Aaron muttered and then grabbed a pair of horns that he had on his waist.
The other wolves charged at Aaron all at once, but he could tell that they were no real threat. They were way weaker than their leader… when the first one jumped toward him, Aaron moved to the side and then stabbed the head of the creature with one of the horns. Easy win…
Another came from behind, but Aaron swung his body to the side and then made the other horn pierce the left side of the wolf. He kicked the body before it could fall on him, and that didn't become a problem.
In the end, Aaron managed to kill twenty of those creatures without barely moving from his spot. His Perception made him feel the movements of everything around him in a ten-meter radius, and his Dexterity granted Aaron enough skill for him to dodge all the attacks and counterattack all at once.
The only downside of that fight was the fact that Aaron's cloak fell off at some point, and then he got wet a little bit. After covering himself again, Aaron checked the bodies to see if he could use anything. They had some long claws, but it wasn't something that he could use. As for their horns and fur… Aaron didn't have anything to skin them and then separate it. He had to spend a bit of a hard time doing so, but Aaron eventually pulled the pair of horns of the alpha. It was fifty centimeters long, two times more than the others, and was thicker as well.
"It should last for a while…" Aaron thought and then resumed his journey.
