Chapter 1 - Stalker.

The music blasted loudly and the colorful lights were flashing everywhere.

Evily winced as the light was blinding her. Her eyes narrowed into a slit as she tried to get used to her surroundings. At the same time, Evily was trying her best to look out for her stepsister, Amelia.

The two of them had entered the venue half an hour ago just in time after the musical ended.

The people had dispersed to mingle among themselves and some chose to leave. The entrance was a little crowded and perhaps, it was because of this reason that she managed to sneak into the venue.

When Amelia told her that they were coming to this musical to catch her cheating boyfriend, Amelia thought that the woman had received the invitation for them to enter.

Who would have thought that Amelia would ask her to sneak in?

She was unable to calm down. She was so afraid of getting caught.

As soon as they entered, Amelia had told her that they should go on separate ways. That way, it would be easier to find her boyfriend. After instructing her to snap a few photographs of her boyfriend in his cheating act, Amelia disappeared into the crowd, leaving Evily on her own.

She stood still as she thought of what she wanted to do next.

Taking a deep breath, Evily went in the direction and entered the place. After walking from end to end, Evily could not find that man. She sent a text to Amelia to inform her that her man was not hanging around backstage. Then, she went out and headed to another hall before someone was going to catch her for an unauthorized entrance.

She suddenly caught a woman with long, curly brown hair entering the venue. Beside that woman was a man that she recognized.

She watched as Harry wrapped his arms around that woman's waist. Then, the woman leaned forward to whisper something to Harry before the two burst into a hearty laugh.

Evily immediately took out her phone to snap the evidence in front of her. After pointing her phone camera towards Harry, Evily zoomed the image on the phone closer before she pressed the shutter button a few times.

Sensing that she would get herself into trouble, She turned around and tried to leave. However, as she reached closer towards the exit, someone grabbed her wrist and forced her to turn around.

"Which media are you from? Give me your phone." The man's angry voice resounded in her ears.

Evily stared back at him with a dazed look on her face. She gazed down and stared at her wrist which was being squeezed by the man in front of her.

Seeing that the person in front of him was not responding, Bruce demanded again, "Give that to me."

"What are you talking about? Let go of me!" Evily tried to wriggle her hand out of that man's grasp but found that the man had only tightened his grasp instead.

She did not know how she had offended this man, but there was no way that she was going to hand over her phone.

The very next second a loud banging sound erupted across the hallway, with a body landing against the floor, earning the attention of the few people in the hallway.

"I am sorry!"

Whatever will happen, will happen. First thing first, she needed to escape fast.

----

Evily made her way through the crowd and hoped that the people who came after her would not be able to catch her.

But she felt someone gripped at her wrist again, forcing her to turn around.

"W-Who are you?"

A sharp-looking man was holding onto her wrist tight. Meeting the man's darkened face, Evily felt her body tremble in fear. Before she was able to say a word, that man had tugged at her wrist, dragging her to a less crowded place.

When she looked clearly, she realized that the man was dragging her towards the security guard. She tried harder to wriggle out of the man's tight grip and knew that the same tactic would not work again at this time.

In the end, Evily was taken to the police station.

The sharp-looking man was accusing her of sneaking into the event to find some materials on his boss. No matter how she tried to deny it, the man refused to believe her explanation. But fortunately, the policeman seemed to believe her words.

After giving her a statement, the policeman allowed her to leave, but she needed to call someone to pick her up.

"Hello, Jamie"

"Evily! Why didn't you reply to my text?" A voice came over from the phone.

"I arrived in D city. Can you come and pick me up." She said.

"Text me. I am coming." Jamie answered.

Evily nearly burst into tears the moment she heard that voice. "I'm at the police station." She sniffled before she explained her situation.
