The stench of cigarette smoke and alcohol hung in the air. The music was cranked to the maximum as though trying to burst the patrons' eardrums. Men were swaying to the beat on the dance floor while Evily sat in the corner guzzling glass after glass of the strongest liquor. At that moment, her emotions were on the brink of snapping.
As her emotions were a chaotic mess, she threw
her head back and guzzled the hard liquor. The burning sensation in her throat had tears pouring down her face, but her chest remained tight without a hint of respite to be found.
"Are you alone, miss?"
Someone placed their hand on her shoulder and used this chance to stroke it. Evily shuddered under their touch and flung the hand away in disgust. "Piss off."
The man shot a look at the person beside him before he leered at Evily. He then leaned in and tried to kiss her. Evily pushed the man away and stood up in shock, wobbling on her feet. She shook her head to clear her thoughts, but her head still felt heavy and dizzy.
She stumbled around and almost fell, but the man held her up. He took the chance to hold her by her waist and said, "Miss, Don't worry! I am here for you."
At that moment, she could vaguely see someone walking in her direction. Without even thinking, she mustered all her strength and shoved both the men away, crashing into the figure who was coming toward her.
She grabbed the man's clothes tightly, his clean scent enveloping her. "Please, take me home!"
Bruce squinted at the woman who had jumped at him, his narrow eyes gleaming.
Bruce looked at the man before him and said coldly. "Scram."
"Wh-Who are you? Do you know who I am? I had my eyes on that woman!" The man said brazenly.
"It's hot!" Evily grabbed Bruce's clothes and kept leaning into him. Her luscious lips were right in front of him, a strong smell of alcohol still lingering on them. Her face was an unnatural scarlet.
"Peter." Bruce looked at Peter and scooped Evily up in his arms. "Teach them a lesson. I want them to know that BLAC doesn't welcome people who do not know their place."

Currently, Evily's face was flushed and she did not look too good. Carrying her in his arms, Evily could feel her hot temperature, which suggested that she might have a fever.
Through the grogginess, Evily could make out the man's profile. When she realized that being close to the man was cooling her down, she leaned closer to him, burying her head into his strong chest. His gaze darkened at her action. The elevator doors opened at that moment and he immediately stepped out.
There was an exclusive room for Bruce on the top floor of BLAC. He opened the door and carried Evily, who was clutching onto Bruce like a koala hugging an eucalyptus tree inside. It wasn't aesthetically pleasing, but it alleviated some of her unease.
She suddenly grabbed Bruce's hand and placed it on her face. The man's lower temperature brought comfort to her. A quiet moan escaped from her parted lips as she slowly moved his hand down along her neck.
Evily felt uncomfortable. While hugging Bruce's arm, she raised her body and snuggled into his embrace.
It was obvious that a mere hug was not enough to satisfy her—she looked for Bruce's lips hastily and suddenly pressed her lips onto his. As she lacked kissing techniques, she felt even more uncomfortable and started crying after a moment.
At that moment, flames of desire crept into Bruce's eyes and he wanted nothing more than to pin her down below him. I want her! I want her now! The raging thoughts spread like wildfire in his head and he could feel his veins pulsing in the back of his hand. Finally, he was unable to hold himself back and forcefully pressed his lips to hers.
It took some effort on his part, but Bruce managed to pull the woman off him and toss her into the bathroom. After taking a deep breath, he called Peter. "Bring up some ice."
After Bruce hung up, he saw Evily climbing out of the bathtub, so he pushed her down again and filled the tub with cold water. "Don't move!" His voice was cold. Upon noticing how the water made her clothes cling to her curvy figure, he began to feel tempted again.
Peter came with two buckets of ice soon after. "The ice is here, sir."
"Hold on," Bruce stopped him. "Put the buckets down. You may leave now"
Peter was surprised by his boss' behaviour today, as it was unusual. Even so, he kept his confusion to himself instead of voicing it out.
After he was sure Peter had left, Bruce entered the bathroom with the buckets.
