Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 - Sebastian

My head hurt as I groaned as the light beamed in from the open curtains. To avoid Liam I'd been staying at my best friend Bonnie's place. Her father was Beta Louis Shephard. She had a twin brother, Max, that had been my wet dream fantasy at one point.

I'd told her everything and sworn her to secrecy. Liam has his reasons and they are valid but I didn't have to like them.

"Bas come on, let's go out," she whined as she gripped my arm. "Maybe you'll meet some handsome stranger who'll fuck your brains out and help you forget all about that selfish bastard."

"Bonnie!" I whined playfully.

Though the idea was appealing, the idea of someone else touching me made my stomach roll. Bonnie smiled sadly at me as if she could tell what I was thinking.

"Come on, you don't have to find a guy but coming out with your best friend might help you feel better. Max is tending the bar tonight, he said he would take good care of us."

The idea of spending the night at Max's bar made me smile. It wasn't actually Max's bar, it was their fathers, but Max practically ran it. After I got over my crush that couldn't happen, since Max was as straight as a pole, we became good friends.

"Ok, but I'm not picking anyone up so don't introduce anyone or encourage anyone who may or may not approach," I scolded with a smile.

"Fine," she grumbled.

A few hours later, I was dressed up and walking into the Luna bar. It was named in honour of a previous Luna and when the Beta took over he kept the name. It was a small rustic bar that was very popular with the pack.

On a Thursday night, it wasn't as packed but there were still a few locals in. Max was flirting with some female tourists when we walked in. He instantly moved over to us, much to the girl's annoyance.

"Well hello there stranger," he greeted handing us two beers. "I was beginning to think you'd been super glued to that sofa and I would have to cut you out of it to get you out."

"Hey Max," I chuckled.

We sat down at the end of the bar and he kept the beers coming. As the night wore on, I started feeling a little lighter. Being with my best friends could do that.

A few of the guys from the pack came in and Bonnie instantly called them over to join us.

"Hey Seb, haven't seen you around in a while," Mattie, one of the younger wolves said.

"Yeah, I've been staying with Bonnie. I needed to rest for a bit," I answered, hiding behind my beer.

"You can't rest at the Alpha house?" he asked, calling my bluff.

"Of course, he can't," Bonnie chimed in. "With everyone coming and going, bothering him all the time."

Mattie and a few others laughed along. I smiled at her gratefully.

As the night wore on, Mattie ended up behind me with his arm slumped around my shoulders. We were laughing around when I stiffened. I wasn't sure why until the door opened and Alpha John and Liam walked in.

My eyes locked with Liam's. It had been a week since I'd seen him and fuck did he look good … and pissed. It wasn't until I looked down and remembered Mattie had his arm around me.

I was about to shrug it off when I paused. So what if he was touching me, Liam rejected me so I can be with whoever I wanted. I turned away from him and turned back in with my friends.

By midnight, I'd become frustrated at feeling Liam's angry glare on me. I felt like I couldn't relax.

"Seriously, what's that guy's problem?" Bonnie whispered once the guys had moved towards the pool table.

"He's done nothing but stare at you all night. What does he want from you, to accept his rejection but then never have a life of your own?"

"Be quiet Bonnie," I demanded quietly.

"No Sebastian I mean it, he can't be acting like the jealous partner when he didn't want anything to do with you in the first place."

"She's right Bas," Max added.

Of course, Bonnie had told Max. I glared at her and she shrugged as if to say 'So what!'

"Can both of you drop it!" I hissed.

Max patted my shoulder before moving off down the bar whilst Bonnie sighed.

"Bas …"

"No Bonnie, I mean it please just drop it. I don't know what's going on with him but I can't get over it if you keep commenting on him."

I got up and swayed a little.

"I'm gonna go," I slurred slightly. "I think I've had enough."

"Oh, are you going Seb?" Mattie called out. "I can drop you off if you want."

"Would you Mattie, that would be great," Bonnie called back with a smile.

"No!" I shouted. "Thanks, Mattie but I can make my own way home."

I glared at Bonnie who shrugged unapologetically. Sometimes I loved her and sometimes she drove me crazy. Mattie followed us out and grabbed me when I started to sway a little.

We all froze when a dark growl came from behind us. My traitorous cock filled a little at the sound and I groaned as we all turned.
