A boy could be seen with snow-like hair moving around with another boy of short height; they moved around for a while.
"Kael, how was your first day?" asked the taller boy.
"It was boring; everyone in the S section is boring. How good it would have been if we were in the same class! Sssqeuak!" replied the boy.
They talked for some more time before they heard a loud call from behind. "Amonn!!"
Kael wanted to turn and look, but Amon stopped him. "Keep walking."
"Who is he?" asked Kael with a curious expression. "Is he your new friend?"
"Friend, he is just a classmate. We should move fast, or else he will get us in trouble," suggested Amon.
"Nah, it can't be that bad." He had just said that when he heard 'swish, something went past them.
A silver-haired boy appeared and looked at them with a smile. Amon looked at him and clenched his fist.
"Stop, someone catch that rat." A voice came from behind. Amon turned and saw three boys coming at him.
Giving him no chance to react, the silver-haired boy said, "You think I am scared of you guys because there are three of you."
He said this, raising his chin, then put his elbow on Amon's shoulder and stood in style. "With him by my side, even though you stand no chance, I am giving you your last chance to leave, or you will regret it."
"Are you sure you will help him?" said the one at the front of the three boys.
"Don't involve me in your conflict," said Amon as he turned.
The other three were confused by what he said. The silver-haired boy used it and said, "You heard him right; once he involves himself, you all will not get any chance to go back without injuries."
"Rest is up to you; for your information, this small brother is from the S section. Do you guys really want to mess with us?" he added.
When the three of them looked at Kael, they recognized him. He was from the S section, and they looked at each other before leaving. "We will forgive you today, but make sure you never mess with us again."
As they turned and left, the silver-haired boy stood there. "Never show me your ugly faces again, weak guys. They sure know how to talk big."
Amon and Kael have already moved a little away.
"Who is this shameless guy? He even used my name. Sssquaek!" asked Kael.
"He is the incarnation of trouble, Rydan Nightshade."
"I thought Dark Elves behaved elegantly; why is he like that?" asked Kael.
"You talk a lot, shortie," said Rydan as he patted Kael's head.
"Leave me, Dumbasss, or I will... or I will," said Kael, pointing one of his three fingers at Rydan.
"What will you do?" laughed Rydan.
"Leave him," said Amon as he brought Kae behind him.
Rydan laughed, holding his face. "I was kidding, bro. Why so serious?"
"Leave already; how many times do I have to tell you I don't want to be with you?" Amon said it in a serious tone.
"Come on, it was not my fault this time. I saw them peeking at Lyra in front of Girl's Hostel; I just acted like a gentleman and confronted these guys," said Rydan.
"That's not my problem; you should have dealt with this yourself." Amon was tired of hearing his absurd excuses every time.
"Wait a minute, what were you doing there in the first place? Sssquak!" asked Kael, with a curious expression on his face.
'Cough,' replied Rydan, "I was just passing by; why would I go there? Do you guys think I am that kind of person?
Both gave him a side eye as if thinking, 'Is this even a question?'
"Rydan, it's our first day in school. Why don't you focus on your training? Have you come to school for this?" asked Amon.
"Let's leave Amon; we don't have time to waste on him. Sssqueak!" Kael said as he held Amon's hand, dragging him away.
"Wait for me," said Rydan as he followed behind them.
"Listen, Amon, it's not like that, Bro. How do I explain it to you?"
Time passed by, and it was already night. Amon practiced Prana before getting ready to go to bed.
His Prana had improved greatly, and he also noticed that the food served in the mess was very nutritious. It was making him stronger.
***
It had been a week since Amon had been in school; he was attending all his classes properly.
In this much time, he had gotten used to Rydan. Other than him, he had gotten along with Lyra and her friend.
He was learning a lot in each class; he knew nothing about the world, geography, and history of the Rayless Dynasty before attending the school.
Never had he found learning about history, geography, and demon beasts so interesting.
He didn't know that there were three kingdoms closer to the Rayless Dynasty. One was the Northern Kindom, and they were on friendly terms, while the other two were enemies.
They waged multiple wars during the Rayless Dynasty, but each time, they suffered a humiliating defeat.
In the sword class, he had started training with two short swords. At first, he thought they would not be difficult, but the more he practiced, the harder he found them.
However, it was still as if something was guiding him. He was learning how to use them on his own.
Even his teacher was surprised; he even asked Amon if he was learning from someone, but Amon replied that he practices by himself.
In just a week, he was able to swing both swords together effortlessly. He also needed to get some tips about how to fight with them.
Unlike using Longsword, where he had to land one strong attack, now he needed to make the opponent bleed by landing multiple strikes.
It was hard to defeat him in one attack, but this type of fighting style allowed him to have an advantage when fighting against stronger beasts.
He had also mastered his Prana skills. In the first week, the basics of Prana were taught to the students.
Amon learned many things that he was not aware of before, which helped him become more proficient in using Prana.
He had also mastered concealment and was not able to hide himself from the prana sense of others of his level.
Now students in Prana Class were asked to choose one of the four Prana types and master it. Amon chose Vadh (enforce) as the first one.
