Chereads / Nephilim's Ascension: Alone in the Demon Realm / Chapter 40 - Learning a new technique

Chapter 40 - Learning a new technique

Young Demons could be seen practicing a set of movements. Prana emerged out of their bodies like steam as they used enhancement.

Gusts appeared around them, and they continued the exercises before stopping.

"Good, now you all can perform enhancement. It's now time to teach you about a technique."

Students cheered in joy; finally, they could learn a technique.

The teacher with white horns smiled. "As you know, the Vadh prana type is different. Our fighting style is also different."

"Most Vadh users charge directly at the opponent and depend on their hand-to-hand combat skills to fight. Even the techniques used by us are straightforward."

Many students were disappointed; they thought they would learn something cool.

"Quit!" The teacher said this when he saw students talking with each other.

"I said simple, but that doesn't mean it's weak; Vadh users have strong offense and defense."

"This technique is not a secret; it is one of the fundamental skills. Its power depends on the amount of Prana used, prana control, affinity, emotion, and talent."

"Sir, I have a question." A boy raised his hand. The teacher nodded, asking him to speak.

"What is the role of emotions? How are they related?" asked the student.

"Everyone always remembers that enhancers derive their power from emotions. When you use your emotions, they will make your abilities stronger."

"However, remember not to lose control, as your body might be unable to keep up. That's why I ask you to train your bodies."

"Where was I?" he asked, scratching the back of his head.

"Sir, you were teaching about a technique," said one of the students.

"Right," nodded the teacher with a smile. "The technique I am going to teach you is called Meteor First."

"First, I will teach you body movement."

He showed a single movement in which he relaxed his body and moved his right fist back while his left palm was facing forward, and his legs were slightly bent to maintain balance.

His stance was different; he stood sideways with his left hand and feet at the front and his right feet and hand at the back.

He closed his eyes and took a small breath. "Repeat it, follow this stance, and close your eyes."

Students followed him and stood in the same stance: "Now visualize the flow of Prana inside your body."

He checked the students' stance and guided those who were not in the proper stance.

"Good, now imagine prana gathering at your heart. With each breath, gather all your Prana in your heart."

"You should remember to gather your Prana to Heart first before you use any technique, as the heart is the organ that boosts enhancement."

"Think of it as your power source; you can put your left hand on your heart if you want to feel it."

Students obediently followed his instructions, focusing their thoughts and channeling their Prana into their hearts.

"Now that you have gathered your Prana, channel it toward your right hand. First enhance your hand."

Everyone successfully enhanced their hand. It made their hands stronger and tougher than before.

"The next step is to think about what you want; the best would be if you thought about something that makes you angry."

"Think of the time when you regretted not being able to punch someone you really wanted because you were weak."

Students started thinking about such times.

"Now gather it between your fists and keep comprehending it till you can; keep in mind the anger you are feeling."

Everyone started trying it; some were only able to compress their Prana two or three times, while others even doubled that amount.

"Good. The next step is to think about making it stronger. You want more power."

Students tried, and many started losing focus; however, one of them succeeded. His body started shaking at the bright azure light released from his right fist.

"Stop! Now retract your Prana back, and with each small breath, absorb it and cool down."

Everyone followed his advice, and everyone stopped.

"Good, this is how it is done. All you need now is practice. If any of you have any doubt, you can take help from your classmates and ask me if you face any difficulty."

The teacher now moved on to the theory of the meteor first. He explained the concept of Prana and how it could be harnessed for a devastating punch.

"Timing is key," he emphasized. "Prana must be released at the precise moment of impact to unleash its full power."

To illustrate his words, the teacher stepped forward, moving toward a large boulder. He slowly followed each step so everyone could take a look.

His fist glowed with a radiant Prana aura as he executed a meteor fist strike, striking a tall boulder. The impact sent shockwaves through the area, and the boulder cracked in two.

The students watched in awe, absorbing the power and precision of the technique.

Next came the practical drills. Students partnered up, taking turns to channel Prana into their fists and strike the wooden poles. The teacher walked among them, offering guidance and corrections.

"Feel the Prana within you," he encouraged. "Flow it through your veins, store it within your heart, and resonate it with your intent."

The area echoed with the sound of fists meeting targets as students practiced their timing. They honed their ability to synchronize the release of Prana with the moment of impact. Frustration and determination filled the air as they strived for perfection.

"Realease the stored energy at the moment your fist strikes; think of it as if channeling lightning into the target through your fist. This will help you deal more damage and cut the flow of your opponent."

Days passed by, and with each passing day, students improved. Most were able to use Meteor Fist now, but their strikes still lacked power.

Students gathered for sparring sessions. Encircled by a fence, they put their training to the test. Students launched Meteor fists against each other, each striking a testament to their dedication and progress.

The teacher watched closely, providing feedback and corrections to individual students. He adjusted their stances, guided their Prana flow, and commended their successes. It was a process of continual refinement.

In between sparring sessions, the teacher led the students in meditation. He taught them to control their thoughts and emotions, emphasizing that a clear mind was essential for harnessing Prana's power.

As the bell rang, the teacher stopped.

"We have only scratched the surface," he said. "Remember, the path to mastering the meteor fist is long and challenging. Each of you progresses at your own pace."
