Chapter 1 - Losing Everything And Everyone

Inside a large hall with a long table set in the middle, a family was having their dinner. The man at the head table, followed by his wife by his left, a young boy at his right hand, and a young man next to his son. They were all having a good time when suddenly a guard rushed in with blood stains all over him.

"My lord, your brother is here!" The guard reported and soon after he made the reports, a loud rumble was heard just outside the large hall and the couples turned and looked at themselves before turning to the young man and signaling him to take their son away.

"Sister —" The young man wanted to say something but the man glared at him and he was forced to do as he was commanded. He got up, carried the young boy, and ran out of the hall following a back entrance. As soon as they left, a young tall man walked into the hall holding a long staff.

"Well well well, who do we have here?" He spoke as he made his way to where the man and his wife were.

"Damon, what do you want?" The man asked him with a deep frown on his face.

"I've come to take what's rightfully mine!" The young man declared and hit his staff on the ground, a bright blue light emitted out of it and dashed straight at the man.

"I won't let you," the man replied as he dodged the attack quickly. He summoned a long sword and a purple light emitted out of it as he swung it towards the young man who propelled the attack with his staff.

The woman clasped her hands together and a bright red light burst out and was sent directly to the young man who snickered and stopped her attack midway.

"The both of you joined together is no match for me," he said while chuckling. As he propelled the attack forward, a shock of wave was sent towards the man and he was forcefully blown away, causing him to hit the wall of the hall. Turning to the lady, he began to approach her with a sinister smile on his face. "This time around, you will be mine," he said to her and attempted to touch her but her husband who had gotten up rushed at him, swinging his sword and sending multiple shock waves in his direction.

"Not while I'm still alive!" The man yelled as he continuously swung his sword at the young man who kept giggling while dodging all the attacks.

"Keep using all your energies until you've got none left," he laughed and continued dodging the attacks the man was sending his way.

Just as he said, the man soon began to decline in strength until he was no longer able to produce any attacks. He fell to the ground, weak and unable to get up again.

"Honey!" The woman yelled and wanted to rush at her husband's side but the young man rushed over before she could get to him and dragged her towards him. "Let me go!" She yelled as she struggled to leave his side but the young man's grip on her was firm.

"You've gotten so weak ever since you gave birth to that child," he whispered to her ears.

"Let go of me!" She yelled, irritated by what he was doing to her.

"And I won't. You are mine starting from today," he chuckled.

"Leave her alone," the man weakly said to him. He had become so weak that he can no longer stand on his feet, the only thing he could do was plead for his wife. "Don't lay your hands on her, Damon," he said.

"Brother, it's not fair and you know it," the young man stated. "I first met her and told you about my feelings for her but what did you do? You went behind my back and made her fall in love with you, you married her and now have a child together. I have been patient enough these years and I can no longer continue to be," he said with an angry face.

"I wronged you so take me instead and let her go with the child, they are both innocent, please," the man pleaded but the young man paid deaf ears to him. Seeing that he wasn't going to let his wife go, the man tried to stand on his feet and when he finally did, he summoned his sword again and took a fighting stance. "I don't mind dying with you to atone for my sins!" He said with resolve and rushed at the young man.

"Foolish!" The young man scoffed and pushed the lady away so that she won't get hurt. He then hit his staff on the ground and swung it towards the man, a large ball of light formed in the air and dashed toward the man, hitting him directly on the chest. The man was blown away into a wall and it collapsed at the impact.

"Honey!" The woman yelled in shock and rushed towards her husband. When she got there, he was no longer moving and his eyes were wide open. With fear, she took his hand and checked his pulse.

"There should be no need for that, he's already dead!" The young man announced to the woman who froze for a while, staring at the lifeless body of her man. "Now that he is gone, you will finally be mine," the young as he approached her from behind said with a smile on his face.

The woman hearing what he said scoffed and stood up. She pulled the hairpin on her hair and abruptly stabbed her heart with it. She was so quick that the young man failed to stop her on time. "I will never become yours!" She said and pushed the hairpin deeper into her heart.

"Damn it, bitch!" The young man cursed and rushed to stop her from hurting herself further but it was already too late.

She fell to the ground close to her husband and blood oozed from her heart, she stretched out her hand and placed it on her husband's own, holding him firmly. Her eyes trailed further and she saw her son standing, frozen in one spot. "My child," she mumbled as her eyes closed, a smile plastered on her face.

"Mother!" The boy yelled and ran to her side. He fell on his knees as he gazed at the lifeless body of his parents. "Mother, Father, come back," he cried while shaking them.

"Bastard child, it's your fault that they are dead. Or don't you know?" The young man asked the boy as he began to approach him. "Your existence was the reason your mother became weak, a woman who has the ancient bloodline becomes weak just because of your birth, what do you think?"

"Mother, please come back to me," the boy cried, ignoring the man behind him.

"Don't worry, I'll help you so that you'll be united with them," the young man and stretched his arm right at the boy. A dark light emitted from his palm and was about to engulf the boy but another young man came and stood in between them.

"Alex, leave here!" The young man yelled and clasped his hands. The space tore open and he pushed the boy inside the hole. As the boy went into the hole, it seemed as though time stopped moving fast. Before his very eyes, he watched the young man being blown up by the other man. "Don't forget us," the young man mumbled before his head blew up.

"Uncle!" The boy yelled with an outstretched hand. Before he could react, everything turned dark.
