Chapter 39 - Late for Class

Amon was enjoying his days in school, learning new things every day. It was then that he found that three tall students were stopping him.

He tried to cross them by passing through; he was in a hurry and had to attend class. The teacher who took this class was strict; he made anyone who was late stand outside.

As he was passing by, he collided with one of them. Amon looked at him in anger.

"Can't you walk with open eyes?" said one of the boys.

The other two supported him; one of them held Amon's collar and said, "Why didn't you greet us, and how dare you look at us?"

His friend, who was an Imp, rubbed his hands and said, "It's been a while since I smashed a lowblood demon."

They thought Amon was a neo-demon; they were also called demonic humans—a race at the bottom of the tier list.

Amon removed his hand from his collar and said, "I am sorry, but can you let me pass? I have a class."

However, what he got was a slap: "How dare you touch my hands? I will need to clean them now."

Amon looked at his face; now they were picking up the fight.

'Slap'

His hand moved and struck right cheek of the imp; this slap shook his whole body and forced him to take a few steps back.

"I am getting late; I don't have time for your bullshit," said Amon as he started moving, but he found three of them approaching him.

They didn't use weapons, as no one was allowed to use them inside the school. Amon shook his head. He sidestepped the first punch and struck the opponent's abdomen with a knee.

The next moment, he dove and dodged the kick of the second opponent, who punched his leg, making him fall. The third opponent wanted to stop watching this, but Amon gave him no chance.

He approached him and struck his chin with a swift jab; after this, he started leaving, dusting his hands.

"You will regret it; we are from the Imp faction."

Amon started sprinting, ignoring their threats; because of them, he was already late. He approached the class and looked at the professor, who was just a few steps away.

He took a small breath and enhanced his legs before moving toward the door. His heart was beating faster as he approached the clock.

Both were approaching the class; it was hard to tell who would enter first.

'Whoosh'

The teacher was about to step inside the class when a gust of wind went past him that blew his hair. He fixed his specs and entered the class.

Others also saw that; they were looking at Rishi, who was already seated in his seat. He stood up again with others and greeted the teacher.

The teacher looked at him as if thinking about something; a bead of sweat appeared on his forehead. He thought that the teacher would punish him and deduct his marks.

If that happened, he would not be able to be promoted to the S section. He worried for nothing as the teacher shifted his eyes and didn't say anything.

"That entry was cool; I will try it next time," said Rayden as he gave Amon a thumbs up.

'Shhh,' "Don't talk; he will throw us out," said Amon.

"You are no fun," said Rayden as he started looking at the teacher.

Time passed, and it was time for Amon's Prana Class.

He was in the middle of his way when he felt the presence of someone behind him. He turned but saw that there was no one.

With a confused expression on his face, he started walking again.

He entered the park, which led to the venue of his next class. Soon, he felt the presence of some people following him.

His eyes closed, and he inhaled using Prana Sense. He sensed the presence of seven people hiding behind trees.

They all looked similar; they had hairless skin and tiny wings on their backs. He halted his steps and turned. "Come out," he said.

No response came. "I have seen you; why are you following me?" he added.

Seven figures approached him and surrounded him. They looked at him with menacing expressions on their faces.

One of them laughed. "You have good senses; unfortunately, they will not help you today."

"What are you doing?" asked Amon as he looked at them taking out their weapons.

"It's not allowed to use weapons to harm other students. You all will receive punishment for it."

To it, they laughed, "That's only inside the school; technically, you are outside. Even if that were the case, do you believe anyone would believe you?"

"We don't need to talk with this low life; we are only here to teach him a lesson. So next time, he remembers that he should never dare to go against Imp Faction."

They launched their attacks at him; Amon used prana to enhance his legs and dodged them. He removed his sword and said, "Stop it; I will not hold back if you continue forcing me."

Ignoring his threat, they charged at him; their weapons shone red, and they started targeting him.

'Clan'

Amon parried their attack and started exchanging moves with them. His sword danced through the air in a rhythm and attacked the opponent swiftly.

They tried to overpower him but failed. Amon showed no mercy, and one after another, he landed many cuts on their bodies.

However, they didn't back down; they started using their abilities. Their wings flapped as they became faster, and their weapons shone crimson as they approached him.

Amon took a small breath and used stronger levels of enhancement on his boys and sword. His sword started shining with an azure glow.

'Clang'

The moment it calshed with the opponent's spear, it damaged his spear. Amon moved swiftly and charged at the opponent; his sword stabbed his chest before he landed a kick and threw his body away.

He became faster and more brutal as he got serious. His kicks and punches broke a few bones, while his sword stapped them and left multiple cuts.

It took him a few minutes to take care of all the Imps; he was already aware of their abilities, so it was not that easy.

They were all injured, but still, nothing was fatal; it was because of the recoil and toughness of the demon body.

Amon ignored them, not wasting his time dealing with them. He gave them a final warning: "If I see anyone following me, I will go for your wings."

Wings were very helpful, but they were also a major weakness in some species; they took a long time to recover.
