You might be wondering ' If the outcasts were from different castes how are they easily recognized? ' and that's a good point. I wondered that too till a few minutes ago when the information reached my mind.
Each of the outcasts had an aura put in them by the top creature; an aura that stripped them of every sense of glory they enjoyed as creatures and made them subservient to the suffering they were banned to.
Even though Andy was a little bit different from the rest he still had a mark of the aura in it, slowly ripping its insides turning it into a lowly outcast that was just a shadow of its former glorified self.
I couldn't just turn back to hide in the path because we had already been spotted. I wasn't careful enough and that caused us to be caught. Going back wasn't an option either because that would have just ruined the little progress we had made trying to escape.
The hunters were different from even what was in Andy's mind. They had a golden hue which made them look like they were covered in tiny glitters.
The aura of these creatures was different from the other creatures; it was pure evil and filled with a hunger for blood.
They looked at Andy but after a few seconds, they went back to laying their backs on the caves, like whatever made an outcast carry a hunter's wooden cart didn't matter to them. It seemed like to them Andy was not a problem at all.
One of the leaders with the usual orange paint on their forehead hovered over to us and ordered the weaker ones to get the wooden cart away from us.
"An outcast shouldn't be outside its heated place! What are you doing here?"
Its growls meant these words and it charged toward Andy with the intent to make it pay for doing something different from what it should have been doing.
These leaders were already comfortable with the outcasts knowing that they weren't going to retaliate no matter how strong they were before.
Somehow I had grown invested in these creatures' politics in mere hours of invading Andy's mind.
'It's time to show these creatures what you're made of, Andy. Show them how stupid their caste system is ' I thought as I made Andy charge toward the leader that came to punish it.
Like the first leader that Andy killed, this one didn't see anything coming even though Andy charged at it. It could barely keep up with Andy's movement.
Speeding towards the leader Andy dug its claws into its tapered end and before the creature could make it phase out into fluidity Andy ripped out a huge chunk of it, completely crippling it and sending it to the ground.
This didn't seem to phase any of the hunters and the two other leaders were just watching in doubt, like what was happening was just a figment of their imagination but In a matter of moments they'd regret not stepping in on time, to try to subdue the berserker outcast with numbers.
The tapered ends of the creatures made them look like ghosts but that wasn't its only function. It served as their lower extremities carrying them wherever they wanted to.
It also was the source of their ability to reduce their solidness so cutting it away from the rest of the body would reduce their ability to evade attacks by turning into fluid forms and completely keep them from hovering around.
The creature was then opened to the rain of blows that were sent its way by Andy. Each blow made a cracking sound signifying that it wasn't wasted.
After a while, it seemed as though the creature had been long gone. Even the dark hollow in its chest wasn't there, completely replaced by normal air that could be seen through.
Getting back up to face the potential threats, Andy had no look of the downtrodden outcasts. It had a look of pure hatred and had a murderous intensity flowing from its inner being but that still didn't seem to phase the hunters.
The weak ones who were placing the hunted preys on the wooden carts were instructed by their leaders to help subdue the crazed outcast.
The weak ones didn't give much resistance or fight...
They were as good as the dead preys that lay in the wooden carts. One or two strikes to them sent them to the ground permanently.
To the hunters what happened still wasn't something to react to.
With each passing second, Andy's hand-eye coordination grew better and better, making it able to watch out for incoming attacks from wherever they were directed from.
It wasn't hard to read the moves of these weak creatures as they were the simplest creatures out of the ones Andy had fought.
They were almost mindlessly attacking and some of their attacks that Andy wasn't able to dodge didn't do any damage, it almost seemed like they were just offering to massage its body.
After the huge showcase of brute strength, the leaders weren't looking at Andy with condescending gazes but were filled with fear.
At that point, I expected them to run seeing that there wasn't any chance of survival in that fight.
But they didn't, instead, they hovered toward Andy with every hint of uncertainty so visible in their expression.
'Interesting' I thought.
The creatures were strange and I found myself learning outrageous things about them with each passing second.
There were so many things but 'cowards ' wasn't one of the many things.
After a few moments of slowly approaching their common enemy, the two creatures dashed toward Andy hoping to overpower it by sheer numbers but their plans were ruined because from the wooden cart that was tossed aside a couple of minutes ago a new enemy arose; one that would increase the leaders' losing chances by a thousand percent.
