I didn't notice when Hassan lifted the piece of clothing covering the wooden cart.
From the corner of Andy's vision, I saw Hassan standing in front of the wooden cart with a weird stance.
His legs were a few inches apart and he bent down with a sword in his arm.
'What is he doing? ' I wondered as Andy sent random punches to the two leaders barely keeping up with their attacks.
The leaders were unlike the weak ones. Their attacks were thought through and they worked in synchrony like two dancers, complimenting each other when the other fell short.
Andy could keep up with them because their attacks didn't cause much damage.
Hassan stood in that weird stance, taking slow breaths like he was readying himself for something.
"Get back to the wooden cart!" I yelled but of course, it came out as beastly sounds. I didn't know why he was behaving strangely but I was sure he wasn't as fast as the creatures so raising a sword against them would cause no harm if you ended up dead before you could land a strike.
Andy could barely keep up with the leaders so it couldn't afford me to have my attention taken for more than a few seconds.
The few seconds were more than enough for the leaders to send Andy flying through the air to hit a rock.
Rising back immediately like it didn't get its whole body thrashed into a rock, Andy rushed towards the leaders to make them pay but was stopped on its way; by a shocking view.
Hassan moved through the air like he was propelled by a bust of energy beneath his feet and his left eye burned in dark flames as he flew past the leaders cutting the creatures with his long sword.
He was a hundred times faster than he was when we were escaping the arena.
In a matter of seconds, the two leaders were long gone, leaving behind four halves of their bodies to serve as evidence that they had been cut down and that what just happened wasn't a figment of my imagination.
'How is he able to do that?' I wondered.
Seeing Hassan must've ignited some rage in the three hunters because they immediately rushed after him and the wooden cart.
Why the wooden cart?
These hunters were not interested in the crazed ex-cave paver that just slaughtered a whole lot of creatures they were interested in the new set of prey that had appeared in front of them.
The presence of tiny prey, more than a quarter of the hunter's size made them even crazier as they rushed toward Hassan and the wooden cart.
I didn't have any time to hover around being shocked at someone's profound strength, I had to defend the wooden cart like my life depended on it because it did.
Two of the three hunters rushed towards Hassan throwing their claws in the air randomly. As their upper limbs flew through the air large sounds were heard, announcing how deadly the strikes were going to be.
They attacked like they had no hinges holding them back, unlike the leaders that fought with Andy with coordinated and carefully planned attacks. Were the middle creatures in the caste system the only cool-headed ones?
The weak ones were unintelligible and weak while the hunters who were high in the caste system were fuelled by rage but also attacked like the weak ones.
Hassan looked like he was absent-minded as he flew through the air gracefully dodging the rain of claws that went through the air in a disorganized order. His left eye still had dark flames burning through it.
Fighting hovering creatures seemed like fighting an uphill battle but somehow Hassan still managed to not get torn into shreds. Sometimes it seemed like he could tell where the next attack would come from.
If the creatures managed to land a single attack on Hassan that would send him to the great beyond in a blink of an eye.
The creatures' attacks were brutal, random, and fast but Hassan was faster. Sometimes, it almost seemed as if he hovered in the air with these creatures.
Swinging his swords he dealt these creatures much damage but they didn't seem to notice, they just kept on going forward without any attempt to dodge any of his attacks.
His attacks weren't damaging to the extent of killing the creatures because each time he attempted to cut them with his sword a set of claws came flying in many directions threatening to trap him in a spot and he couldn't risk being trapped.
Unlike the creatures Hassan couldn't take any damage so he was always carefully weighing the balance between offense and total escape from their life-ending claws.
One of the creatures rushed toward the wooden cart but was stopped on the way by Andy who managed to send it flying away to where it was resting seconds ago.
When I thought Andy was at its limit it somehow managed to break through and show that its potential was far beyond what I could imagine. The punch that sent the creature flying was stronger than the punches it was using against the leader and the weak ones.
Sky was dragging my body out of the wooden cart when the creature came rushing back to it, totally ignoring Andy.
How crazy are these hunters that they care about nothing but their prey?
Rushing toward the hunter Andy jammed onto the creature with its body and flew with it to the cave wall blocking their way.
Lifting Andy from its body like it was nothing more than a fly around a wild lion it sent Andy through the air to crash into the wall sending huge signals of pain through every nerve fiber on Andy's backbones to Andy's brain, making Andy curl backward and let out a loud sound of utter pain.
