Chapter 18 - EIGHTEEN

'Why are there so many messages? '

Just as I was about to reach out to click on the message symbol, a voice pierced through my concentration, and the floating rectangle dissolved into the air. The voice belonged to Sky.

"What about the Blizzardkin clan?" Sky asked

It was obvious she wanted to go with Hassan. Tagging along with Hassan was better than going with me or even going alone. We were both useless especially since I didn't fully understand the mind transfer.

"Well, I got some information from Andy about..."

" Wait! Who's Andy?"

"Sorry. I meant one of the creatures... I got some information from one of the creatures' whose mind I had invaded"

Without having to say that we were going to stay back we all knew we were all going back where we had just successfully escaped from.

"I don't think I have everything that could help but I know one thing for sure. Fighting the king of Blizzardkin clan is going to be insane."

"So, what's our plan? "Sky asked

"Can't you transfer your mind into these things and get them to kill themselves?"

As brilliant as it sounded, I wasn't exactly sure how the mind transfer worked or if we could depend on it for something as huge as that. Killing the top creature that Andy couldn't kill might be impossible for Hassan.

"Where did you learn how to fight?" I asked him, ignoring Sky's question.

"I didn't learn. I just upgraded a few of my stats."

These weird things about the player's info... How was I the only one that felt like I knew so much yet knew so little?

"What are the stats used for?"

"They just show you what..." Sky was about to answer my question but cut her sentence short when she let out a scream.

"What?" Before I could find out why she was screaming Hassan's sword materialized from the air and was swung into the air three times cutting the creature that dashed toward us into three unequal parts.

It was one of the weak ones. What was it doing alone? I had thought that those ones especially moved in groups. Most importantly, how did we not see it in time?

My upper limbs were initially behind me supporting my body but after the creature caught us unawares my elbows gave in, sending my forearms to the floor.

Fear took hold of my whole being and it was certain that whatever curiosity I had could wait...

"I think the first thing we should do is to get back to the storage room we just came out of. This place is too open and dangerous "

At least the storage room didn't have creatures swarming in and out because Andy made them hover away in fear when it killed the leader.

Another thing was certain; we needed Hassan more than he needed us.
