Chapter 34 - New problem

The tension grew as the goblin walked closer and closer towards them. Worse, if it saw them, the goblin would finish them off. But doing nothing was the same as waiting for the moment of their death. They had to do something before it was too late.

"Asher, come on. We must kill all the goblins." Chronos scratched his head, his voice grumbling.

"No, Chronos, it's reckless. There are so many of them and we can't attack them rashly." He pulled Chronos' hand, trying to prevent him from coming out of his hiding place. "We need to calm down and stay hide."

Regardless, Chronos ignored Asher's words and walked straight out of his hiding place. The look on his face showed no fear at all, nor did his eyes. He had a firm determination to defeat the creature, as shown by the grip of his sword which was so tight in his hands until the fine veins appeared from his hand.

"Taste this damn shit!" Chronos' sword slash attempted to strike the goblins that were nearby.

'Cling! Cling!'

"Argh fuck!" The look on his face tightened, resisting the goblin's attack.

"Chronos!" Asher immediately came out of his hiding place and immediately chanted his spell. "Laser light!"

A shot of light exploded from Asher's staff and headed straight for the goblin blocking Chronos' attack, but the red-bodied goblin appeared suddenly, deflecting all of Asher's attacks with ease. Damn. He never thought there would be another goblin strong enough to appear in front of them.

"Oh my, but why ...."

As Asher recites his laser light spell again, suddenly two other goblins pop up at the same time from alongside Asher, aiming their sword slashes at Asher. Worse, the two goblins are very close to him and there is no way he can avoid this close distance, making his body stiff as a statue.

"Slash! Slash!"

"Asher!" Chronos shouted while continuing to resist the attacks of the goblins in front of him.

The two goblins' slashes managed to injure Asher's body, leaving him weakly bowed. His groans of pain sounded so loud, as he tried to hold back the trickle of blood, coming from the wounds he received from the slashes.

"Damn it! Stay away, you rotten goblins!" Persea immediately shot out her water balls, making the two goblins move away from Asher. "Oh my, Asher hurry up and cast your healing spell. I will protect you." Persea fired her milky water balls again. "Hurry, Asher!"

"I...I should be able to. "Asher slowly stood up, trying to endure the pain that intensified every time he moved his body. "Argh, Cure!" Asher shouted until his face turned red.

Slowly, the wounds on Asher's body gradually faded away, and the trickle of blood stopped instantly. Good. Now Asher's condition is getting better and at least he can fight again.

"Ash, we have to do something!" Chronos swung his sword deflecting every goblin attack in front of him.

'Schwing! Schwing!'

"Shit, why are the red goblins so strong?" The creases on Chronos' forehead became more and more visible.

"Asher, now it's time for you to summon Cerberion." Persea's face was tense. "Just try to focus to summon Cerberion, I'll try to contain these damn goblins as best I can."

Asher nodded his head, hearing Persea's words. Their current situation was disadvantageous and he must summon Cerberion, although he doubted whether he would succeed in summoning the creature since he had never summoned an astral being before. But he must do it. He had no choice but to try if he didn't want to end up in the hands of goblins.

Asher slowly closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, trying to stay focused. A few minutes later, Asher felt a large amount of energy flowing out of his body, slowly creating a strange maroon-colored symbol burning like fire under Asher's feet.

"Fuck, what is that? Chronos narrowed his eyes while looking at the flames around Asher. "What is this heat? Persea, what's going on?"

Persea smiled, showing satisfaction on her face."Just wait and see."

"Guardian creature of the underworld, I call you the Guardian of Light: Cerberion!

A few seconds later, a strange vibration and a black portal appeared, revealing a huge three-headed dog with a piercing red gaze and a jet of fire coming out of its mouth. Cerberion slowly stepped out of the portal and immediately spouted flames from his mouth rapidly towards all the goblins there. The groans of the goblins as the flames burned their bodies could be heard until they all died without a trace.

Chronos froze instantly, his body stiffening as he watched the notification continue to appear up to nine times. Unbelievable. He couldn't believe that the white mage class had such amazing abilities and was able to wipe out all the goblins so easily.

"Holy shit, Ash that's incredible power!" Chronos shook his head, a look of disbelief still on his face. "But... what is that?"

"That's the power of the Guardian of Lights!" Persea smiled, her face looked excited. "See, white mage is quite strong right?" She smiled widely.

"Yes, indeed." Chronos nodded his head fast.

"It's a good thing we win." Asher wiped the sweat from his forehead, a look of satisfaction on his face. "But, it seems that my mana points instantly drain, so I can't even cast my other spells."

"Take these. You must consume this to retrieve your mana points." Chronos took out a bottle of Elixir from his storage.

Asher picked up the bottle and started gulping down the liquid Elixir inside quickly. Gradually, the mana points that were zero instantly rose to half of the mana point bar, as did his blood.

'Thank you, Chronos, that helped. Asher wiped his lips, wiping away the sweat and liquid Elixir on his lips.

"Now, we must hurry to neutralize the poison inside this swamp," Persea took Asher and Chronos by the hand, directing them to walk closer to the swamp. "Come on, hurry up.

Chronos quickly poured out the entire clear and transparent liquid of the Malana fairy until it all merged with the surface of the swamp water. Strange, but nothing was visible at all and the water looked even murkier. Damn. Could it be that the liquid wasn't working?
