Cold sweat ran along the curve of Asher's face. His heart raced, realizing several seconds had passed, but nothing had changed at all. This was messed up. Is this potion not working at all?
"Oh, shit! That fairy lied to us, this liquid probably has no effect at all." Chronos grumbled in annoyance, his head burning. "Persea, what should we do now?"
Persea shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, I honestly don't know what to do now." Her face looked haggard. "Right now we can only hope for a miracle."
However, Persea's words seemed like a magic spell. Shortly after she spoke, the surface of the swamp water slowly turned clear. Fortunately, the potion was working very well.
'You have completed quest 12: Source of trouble'
'Earned 500 Exp'
'You have earned 600 Gold coins, 1x Elixir, 2x Potions.
A few minutes later, a voice came from the bushes right behind them. Persea, who had inadvertently noticed it, narrowed her eyes trying to see a figure that looked like a very familiar figure.
"Uh, wait is that yellow-haired fairy?" Persea tapped both Asher and Chronos on the shoulder. "Hey wait, I'm not wrong am I?" she asked curiously, trying to confirm his words.
"Yes, you're not wrong." Asher looked at the group of fairies whose figures were getting clearer. "That's right yellow-haired fairies, but who are they?" Asher quirked his eyebrows. looking at the few fairies who were behind the yellow-haired fairy
"I knew this had to be you. You've succeeded!" The yellow-haired fairy flew over to Asher, a look of happiness on her face. "We, the fairies of Malana village, sincerely thank you for your help." The fairy bowed his head, showing deep respect.
"Hey, take it easy. We're also very happy to be able to help you. At least this swamp is safe now." Persea sighed, a happy look on her face.
"That's true, but now there's still one more problem left. We need to find the Hydra plant, but where is it?" Chronos stroked his chin, curiosity tickling his mind.
"Hydra plants?" The yellow-haired elf furrowed her brows. "You won't find that plant in this swamp, but I know where you can find it."
Persea rounded her eyes, a look of disbelief on her face. "Uh, wait, are you sure about what you said?" asked Persea, curious about the yellow-haired elf's answer.
"Yes, of course. If you don't mind, I can take you there." She nodded her head, no hesitation at all on her face. "Think of it as my thanks for your help."
"Okay, I don't mind at all," Chronos said without hesitation, "What about you, Ash?"
"Yes, the same." His voice sounded firm, there was no hesitation in his words.
So without hesitation, they all decided to follow the yellow-haired elf's directions. Along the way, the yellow-haired fairy explained that the location of the hydra plant was in a cave not far from their current location.
She explained that hydra plants are a type of plant that does not like to live in bright places. They prefer to live in places that are not exposed to direct sunlight or closed places like caves, so the existence of this plant is quite difficult to find.
"Okay, here we are." The yellow-haired elf stopped at the mouth of the cave in front of her, pointing her index finger forward. "Inside this cave, you will find the plants you are looking for. But be careful." The yellow-haired elf darted away, leaving Asher and the others behind.
"Alright, what are we waiting for?" Chronos raised his eyebrows. "Now let's go inside and look for the plant." The look on his face showed no sign of fear at all.
"Wait, Chronos are you sure?" Asher paused for a moment, a tense look on his face. "At least we need light to get into this cave." He stroked his chin, his mind starting to work.
'Hey, calm down everyone, I can be your light." Persea puffed out her chest, confidence radiating on her face.
"Heh? But you're sure you won't abandon us again? Like in the Titanoboa cave? Remember that?" Chronos laughed mockingly, remembering the incident that had happened to him.
"Argh, hey, but that's ...." Persea was silent for a moment, her face slowly turning red. "Ah never mind, but I won't do it again this time." Persea sighed, trying not to be affected by Chronos' words. "I promise."
"Chronos, never mind, I'm sure Persea won't leave us, this time." Asher patted Chronos on the shoulder, trying to calm him down. "Right, Persea?"
"Yes, no doubt, 100% sure." Persea nodded her head, there was no hesitation at all in her actions.
Chronos slowly nodded his head. "Well, if you're sure of that, Ash."
They finally entered the cave and silence immediately greeted their presence. The more they stepped inside, there was no sound other than the sound of the wind blowing so clearly in Asher's ears. It seemed that this silent atmosphere made Asher's fear slowly emerge, imagining the horrible things that might exist in this cave.
"Persea, do you see something?" Asher furrowed his brows, trying to look around him.
"Hmm, no. I just see some boulders and ...." Persea's face instantly stiffened, her lips trembling endlessly.
"What do you want to talk about, Persea?" Chronos' curiosity rose instantly. "Hey, say something." The look on Chronos' face stiffened even more, seeing that Persea was not at all.
"That... that... something is moving over there." Persea's index finger pointed towards the front.
Asher and Chronos followed Persea's finger and instantly their faces tightened at the sight of the strange creature in front of them. The creature looked like a large white worm with several tentacles waving around. Strange, maybe it was the Hydra plant they were looking for.
"Oh, shit. Rufina never said that this plant would be this big." Chronos rounded his eyes, showing an expression of disbelief. "Now how can we kill it?" Chronos jerked his head up, watching as the creature's tentacles continued to wave.
"I don't know either, but this thing seems to be asleep. For some reason, I don't see any movement from this thing." Asher stroked its chin gently. "Alright, let's approach this creature." He slowly walked, trying not to wake the creature from its dream.
Slowly, they stepped calmly and steadily. At first, everything went smoothly and they were slowly getting closer to the creature. However, Chronos suddenly accidentally stepped on something sticky, causing him to fall and make a loud noise.
"Oh, shit!" Chronos shook his head, a panicked look on his face. "We have to run. Now!" Chronos shouted loud enough to wake up the creatures in front of them.
