As they looked around the room, Persea suddenly caught a strange movement behind one of the nearby piles of wooden planks. Her face instantly tightened and she immediately told Asher and Chronos about what she saw.
"Hey, do you guys see that? Something is moving over there." Persea continued to pat the shoulders of the two of them, her face looking even paler.
"Where is it? I don't see it at all." Chronos narrowed his eyes, trying to see clearly. "Persea, you're not kidding are you?" Chronos raised his eyebrows, confused by Persea's words. "There's nothing there, you must be dreaming." He said in a mocking tone.
"Argh, no! I'm sure there's something there." Persea sighed, her face slowly turning red. "I will prove to you that my words are not lies." She lunged towards the pile of wooden planks, trying to lift them. "Argh! These boards are so heavy. I can't lift them at all." Her face grew redder as she continued to force herself to lift them.
Seeing that, Asher and Chronos approached her, trying to help Persea, lifting the wooden planks one by one. But every time they lifted them, thick puffs of dust flew freely, causing the air around them to feel even more claustrophobic.
"Argh, shit, this is useless!" Chronos grumbled in annoyance. "Look, there's nothing here!" An annoyed expression flashed across his face, seeing absolutely nothing but a puff of dust.
"Wait Chronos, there's still one plank of wood left." Asher moved his shoulders, trying to stretch his muscles. "If Persea's word is true, it should be behind this board."
"Alright." Chronos rolled his eyeballs, his face still annoyed.
Using all their strength, they lifted the last remaining wooden plank and found that Persea's words were true. There was a fairy lying there weakly and seemed to need help. Immediately, Asher carried the fairy to a safer place.
"Calm down, my friend. I will heal you." Asher quickly cast his healing spell. "Healed!"
The fairy slowly opened her eyes, revealing her blue eyes. "'Where... Where am I...'?" Her face tightened as she saw Asher with the others. "What have you done to me? Who are you?" She quickly got up, trying to get away from Asher and the others.
"Calm down, we just want to help you." Persea slowly approached her. "Greetings, my name is Persea," she said while showing her sweet smile.
"Uh, my name is Ellette." The fairy grasped her trembling hand tightly. "What... what are you doing here?"
"We were planning to go to Uluna island, but it looks like all the ships here have been destroyed." Asher sighed, a frustrated look on his face. "Hey, do you know what creature caused this mess?" Asher asked curiously.
"Sa... Sahagin." Ellette's lips trembled incessantly, her face showing great fear. "That horrible creature caused all this to happen."
Asher furrowed his brow. "Wait, what? Sahagin? What is that thing?"
"Sahagin is a horrible creature that lives in the deepest part of the Uluna sea. Its body is covered in sharp scales and it's as tall as the heroes and always carries a trident to catch its prey." Persea stroked her chin, a confused look on her face. "Wait, but something is confusing me. Why is this creature on the surface now?"
Ellette shook her head quickly. "I don't know, I... I don't know at all. It just suddenly appeared from the surface of the water and attacked us all." Her face looked even paler. "All my friends are already... dead. "She bowed her head, her voice sounding weak.
Persea rounded her eyes. "Gosh, I don't mean to"
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out and instantly shattered the surface of the glass window, sending shards of glass raining down on all of them like rain. Fortunately, Persea quickly realized it and immediately cast her spell, forming an energy barrier, protecting them from the glass shards.
"Thank you, Persea. Just perfect timing." Asher slowly nodded his head, a smile etched briefly on his lips.
"Fuck, who does that crazy thing." Chronos, grumbling in annoyance, tried to find the person who created this problem. "Just wait, I'll eliminate that figure."
Not long after, the entity that attacked them suddenly stood upright in front of them. Its face looked like a fish, its eyes were a fiery yellow color, its body was covered with hard, sharp scales, and it carried an extremely sharp trident-like weapon, just as Persea had mentioned earlier
"Oh, shit. It's them!" Ellette's body instantly froze at the sight of the outer light of Sahagin's trident coming towards her, making her unable to move at all.
"Ellette, watch out!" Persea quickly flew towards Ellette, protecting the fairy from Sahagin's shots.
"Fucking shit, eat this monster!" Chronos immediately shot out quickly, trying to hold Sahagin back. "Ash, now!"
Immediately Asher cast his laser beam spell towards Sahagin, hoping that the creature would be hit by his attack. However, his thoughts were once again missed. The creature forcefully pushed Chronos, causing him to fall, and quickly dodged the attack, disappearing like the wind into nowhere.
"Damn, damn! Where is that shitty thing!" Chronos' jaw seemed to harden. "Hey, come here, damn it! I'll repay that creature for what you've done to me!" He immediately jumped quickly out of the window, chasing after the creature
"Chronos, wait! Calm down!" Asher kept shouting Chronos' name, but the creature didn't seem to hear him at all. "Argh, damn it. Persea, I'm going after Chronos. You wait here with Ellette, okay?"
Persea nodded her head. Yes, Asher. I'll keep Ellette here."
Asher quickly jumped out and chased after Chronos who seemed to be a few meters ahead of him. Damn. His leg muscles were already starting to ache from exhaustion. But, he had to do it. He had to endure the pain and exert all his strength if he wanted to catch up.
"Chronos!" Asher's face immediately tightened, as he saw Sahagin pointing the tip of the trident at Chronos who was down on the ground. "'Damn it! Feel this damn thing, laser beam!"
White light shot out of Asher's staff, darting quickly like an arrow toward Sahagin. Well done. His attack managed to hit the creature right in the face. However, the creature was not happy about it. It slowly turned its face away, looked at Asher with a sharp gaze, and then quickly darted toward Asher.
"Oh, shit!" Asher was speechless, his body rigid like a statue.
