Tension showed on Asher's face as he watched the creature begin to rise and its tentacles slowly shift from their position. Damn. Their situation was now in danger. They had to rush to find shelter as soon as possible.
"Ash, look, over there." Persea pointed her finger at a mound of rocks not far from her position. "Come on, we have to hurry!" Persea tugged on Asher and Chronos' wrists. "Come on!"
However, just as they were about to run to the rock mound, the hydra's tentacles shot forward at high speed, shattering the rock mound and sending stone fragments flying in all directions.
"Ash, watch out!" Chronos pushed Asher, shielding Asher from the flying boulders. "Hey, are you okay, buddy?"
"Yeah, thanks for your help, Chronos." Asher let out a long breath, relief visible on his face. "Damn, we need another plan." He slowly stood up, frustration slowly rising in his mind.
"The only thing we can do now is fight back, Ash. " Chronos turned around and took out his sword. "There's no other choice, we have to do it!" Chronos' eyes were burning, showing the burning passion within him.
Asher walked over to Chronos, patting him gently on the shoulder. "Yes, that's true, but we need a plan, Chronos. "He sighed, a slightly tense look on his face, "We should at least know this creature's weakness first before we can act." "He slowly turned his face towards Persea, clearly showing great curiosity on his face. "Persea, can you use your scanning ability?"
"Wait, let me try. "Persea cast a spell, but it immediately failed. "Huh? Why can't I use my scanning ability here?" A frown appeared on Persea's forehead.
"Damn, this is taking up my time, Ash. We need to kill that thing as soon as possible!" Chronos darted quickly towards the creature, leaving Asher alone. "Die, damn thing!"
"Hey, Chronos but ...."
"Slash! Slash!
The slashing sound of Chronos' sword managed to cut off the creature's tentacles instantly, hoping that it would groan in pain. But the reality was the opposite. It turned out that Chronos' slash had triggered the growth of the Hydra's other tentacles, increasing their number, making the situation even worse,
"Damn, damn! How did this happen?" Chronos rounded both eyeballs, his face tightening.
"Those creatures seem to have a pretty fast regeneration ability, Chronos." Asher gripped his staff tightly, a sense of caution evident in his actions. "We must be careful with this creature."
Immediately afterward, the hydra's tentacles began to move nimbly like snakes, trying to attack Asher and Chronos. Fortunately, Chronos had good agility, so he was able to dodge every hydra tentacle that tried to attack him, but not Asher. The white mage class had quite slow movements, so the hydra tentacles were a big problem for Asher.
"Argh, shit! It's so sticky. I can't get it off." Asher's face turned even redder, as he tried to remove the tentacles wrapped around his legs.
"Oh my, Asher." Persea flew over to Asher, trying her best to remove the coils. "Damn it! Damn it. I really can't get it off."
"Asher!" Chronos immediately darted toward Asher, but the other tentacles continued to attack Chronos, making his steps constantly blocked. "Argh, damn it!" Chronos' jaw tightened, annoyance evident on his face.
"Wait, I'll try casting a spell." Persea quickly made a ball of water from her hand, aiming it at the creature's coils. "Damn, my abilities have absolutely no effect." Persea's face tightened even more as she looked at Asher's face, which was in increasing pain.
Not long after, the tentacle quickly pulled Asher towards it, leaving him completely immobilized. He desperately tried to hold on to something nearby but to no avail. To make matters worse, the creature revealed rows of sharp canine teeth that would easily gnaw through Asher's body.
"I have to do something." Asher's face tightened, trying to chant his laser beam spell.
Unfortunately, his staff suddenly disengaged as the creature's tentacles pulled at Asher's body. What a disaster. Everything seemed beyond Asher's expectations. Fear quickly crept into his mind, making his thoughts instantly chaotic.
"Oh shit, I need to help Asher immediately." Chronos furrowed his brows trying to approach Asher but kept getting blocked by those tentacles. "Argh Damn, right now I have to use this." He quickly took out his bomb item, throwing it at the hydra's body.
'Boom! Boom!
The sound of the explosion sounded so loud, producing a brief tremor in the cave. Great. The explosion managed to injure the creature's body, revealing a glimpse of a beating object, which appeared to be the creature's heart. But the creature's body slowly regenerated, trying to cover the creature's wound again.
"No, I won't let this creature regenerate again." Chronos who realized the opportunity quickly darted towards the creature. "Die, you damn creature!" The grip of his hand was hard, and his jaw hardened. "Fatal Blow."
Chronos' slash managed to pierce the creature's heart, making it groan in pain and lie on the ground. A few minutes later, the creature's body oozed a strange red liquid like blood and finally died.
'500 exp gained'
'You have earned 800 gold coins, and 3x Hydra tentacles.
"Gosh, luckily this thing is dead." Relief was evident on Chronos' face. "Now I have to help Asher."
Chronos quickly ran over to Asher. A look of concern was visible on Chronos' face because he knew that Asher's position when the explosion occurred was quite close, so surely Asher would be injured quite badly.
Asher!" Chronos quickly took out his item, giving the Hi-Potion to Asher who was lying weakly on the ground. "Ash, drink it. It will restore your strength." Chronos' face continued to tighten, realizing Asher's body was riddled with wounds.
Without hesitation, Asher immediately swallowed the liquid until his blood level slowly returned to normal. Good. At least Asher could now cast his healing spells to heal the wounds all over his body.
"Healed!" Asher chanted the spell, and slowly his data status rose. "Chronos, what about that creature?" Asher narrowed his eyes, scanning his surroundings. "Did we manage to defeat that thing?"
Chronos nodded his head quickly, no doubt visible on his face. "Yes. And I've gotten the materials Rufina needs." He smiled widely, showing happiness on his face. "Now, we just need to go back to Malana's village and give these ingredients to Rufina."
A few minutes later, they decided to leave the dark cave, then planned to return to Malana village, giving Rufina the last ingredients she needed to make her medicinal potion. Fortunately, with Persea's teleportation ability, they were able to return within seconds and rushed to meet Rufina.
"Rufina! We managed to find the ingredients you were looking for." Persea quickly darted towards Rufina who seemed to be busy checking the condition of Malana's interconnected village elves.
"Wait, what?" Rufina was silent for a moment, a tense look on her face.
Persea smiled widely, her face showing satisfaction. "We've managed to find the materials you need."
"Yes, that's right. Here are the materials you need, Rufina." Chronos then took out the material from his storage area and placed it on Rufina's palm.
'You have completed quest 11: Medicinal plants'
'You have earned 400 Gold coins'
'You have obtained 3x Remedy, 2x Elixir, 2x Antidote'
"Thank you, for all of you." Rufina smiled, happiness clear on her face. "Alright, with these ingredients, potions can be made." She quickly grabbed the ingredients, then together with her medic began to make the potion.
Soon, Ruifna and the other medical staff brought syringes filled with maroon-colored liquid, like blood, and began to inject the liquid into the body of the fairy Malana who was in pain.
"Uh, wait, what's wrong with them?" Persea rounded her eyes as she saw the injected fairy suddenly lose consciousness.
Rufina smiled at Persea's words, a calm look on her face. "Calm down, it's a reaction to this potion. After this, they will recover."
After all the fairies who were in pain were given the potion, instantly the atmosphere that had been very noisy became instantly quiet. Good, it seemed that the potion had worked and now they could only wait for the recovery of these fairies.
"Well, I feel that everything is settled." Rufina smiled happily, seeing that her people were fine." Oh yeah, what did you want to talk about?" she asked with a curious look on her face.
"Yes, I've been able to confirm the location of the alien energy, Rufina." Persea closed her eyes, trying to go back, to feel that energy again. "The location is to the north of here."
"Rufina, do you know that location?" Asher furrowed his brows, a curious look on his face.
Rufina nodded her head slowly. "Well, it probably refers to Uluna Island." She said firmly, no hesitation showing on her face. "But, you should be careful because there are rumors of horrible creatures inhabiting the island."
