*Scritch* *Scatch*
On a sunny afternoon, a golden-haired lady walked across the mansion's corridor with a bright smile on her face.
"Lady Amelia, will Lady Remil accept the invitation?"
At the voice coming from behind her, Amelia looked back at the maid and stopped.
"Shush, I know she won't but there could be a chance she would. I can feel it"
"I don't thi---"
Ignoring the words of the maid, Amelia continued her way and reached the room of Remil.
"Lady Remil must be busy, Lady. We shouldn----"
*Bang*
Till the end Amelia did not hear them out and forcefully opened the door to Remil's room.
The maids looked defeated as they stared at their Miss's back and sighed heavily.
"Rem!! Your sister's here!"
Not knowing what the maids feel, Amelia shouted and confidently strode inside Remil's room in excitement.
"Are you busy?"
Everyone looked in disbelief at Amelia who clearly knew that Remil had always been busy ever since she was a baby.
In sync they all looked at Remil to react against her sister or scold her like last time, but to their surprise silence remained in the room.
*Scritch* Scratch* *Scritch*
Not noticing the presence of other people in her room, Remil continued looking down at her paper and writing down.
Amelia looked at Remil with a smile on her face and called her maid to give her what she brought.
"Rem look here. I got you a present!"
Amelia cheerfully shouted and showed a nice blue dress while dangling it in the air.
Finally, Remil noticed them and looked at the dress that Amelia is holding.
She saw the mail that the maid is holding, and her mood darkened.
"I'm not going"
Remil said in a cold tone and turned her back on them.
She knows that a new party are being held in someone's else house again and she's invited to attend.
Amelia looked worriedly at her sister for a moment before crossing her arm with a stern expression.
"Remil, if you keep staying at home like this you won't make friends at all. Do you want to be alone forever?"
"I'm fine being alone"
Hearing the same answer for a hundred times, Amelia facepalmed her head.
"I know you are lonely, Rem. Stop saying you're fine when you're not"
Remil looked at the paper in front of her and back to Amelia.
"I have everyone in the mansion. I'm not lonely"
"Lies, I know you don't want to interact with the servants nor us. How many times are you going to say that?"
"I'll say it again and again until it's clear to everyone that I don't need another person's company. Everyone dies anyways"
Amelia sighed in defeat and signaled the maids to put the dress in Remil's wardrobe.
"I can't change your mind at all, huh. Only this time I will let you get away, okay?"
[Only this time?] The maids doubted.
Amelia looked around Remil's room and was satisfied that it's clean.
She then looked at the paper that Remil is working on and recognized what it is.
"Oh, are you making the 98th chapter of Harodin's story?"
Amelia asked excitedly and looked down at the draft.
"Are you sure you're not going to publish it?"
Remil shook her head at Amelia's question.
"Why? Is there a reason?"
"Not yet. I'm still not good at painting expressions"
"Ah, you did say that you're writing a book with paintings on them. I can't wait for you to publish them"
Remil nodded and continued working on her book.
Amelia could only back off for the day and report the news to their parents.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Amelia and Remil are the twins of the Azrael family.
The two children who were born special was loved by both the Earl Remier and Countess Avelyn despite their differences.
Amelia who is born with golden hair and golden eyes which is the symbol of a Saintess, the child of God. She is cheerful and sweet who cares about others especially her one and only sister.
And Remil who is born with black hair and grey eyes who is secretly a witch. She is aloof and likes to keep things about herself hidden.
The kingdom knows the birth of the twins because of Amelia who is the promised Saintess that were born once every hundreds of years in the world.
But despite the appearance of the Saintess in the society, not once did the people saw the face of her twin.
All they know is her name and the color of her hair that neither the Earl nor the Countess have.
There was a time when news about the Countess's infidelity circulated across the whole continent and not just the kingdom.
Everyone was pointing fingers at the Countess, making her the villain in the whole kingdom.
Only with the Earl's unconditional love towards Avelyn and their daughters did the rumors died down.
The doubt was still there but no one talks openly about them now.
Not once did the Earl believe the rumors about his wife and he knows that the twins are his.
But because it is merely based on his instincts, the Earl could not make a statement to explain anything.
No one knows the truth except Remil, who hid the fact that she is the first ever witch in the world.
There is never a record about what a witch is as they never existed before her.
Things would have been different for Remil if Remier was not her father, but thankfully the gods who gave her life was merciful enough to put her in a good family.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So, what did Remmy say?"
Countess asked with expectant face.
"Unfortunately…."
When Amelia started the Earl and Countess sighed heavily.
"That child…. Why does she have to resemble me of all people?"
Avelyn held her head in dismay and leaned against her husband.
"She doesn't want to do anything and it's even hard to hire a tutor for her because she's too tired to learn anything"
"Honey, don't worry you're not as lazy as her when she's your age so don't ever think that it's because of you"
Remier said while kissing his wife's cheek to cheer her up.
"Remier…. Thank you, but don't say that again"
"Haha, sorry... But you know because she resembles you she is more intelligent than the others. I heard that she perfected all the test questionnaires for the academy exam to prove that she doesn't need a tutor"
"I know, that's why I want her to aim for more. she merely has no ambition whatsoever"
As the Countess grumbled, the Earl tried to hold his laugh because of how cute his wife is when she pouts.
Only when he looked up did he realized that Amelia was staring at them with a frown.
"Ah sorry, Amelia you're going now right?"
When Remier said that Amelia left immediately without looking back at the love birds.
