Chereads / The Witch Memoria [Remake] / Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Future

Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Future

Seeing the news about the appearance of the monsters in their territory, Remil immediately opened the Book of Life to find out if her father and sister were safe.

And reading the appearance of Sevir in Amelia's book, Remil was immediately reminded of the future she read in the High Priest's story.

Although this time Sevir was not awake after gaining the ability to use magic, it was still unbelievable to see that he was saved by Amelia.

In the future that she and the High Priest knows, Amelia saved Sevir in a much horrifying war against monsters where Prince Thierry had also participated.

In the future it was a love triangle between Sevir, Prince, and Amelia.

It's not like I want my sister to suffer from having to choose between two people, but it's not like it's not fascinating enough to not be interested about.

Should I meet the High Priest and assist him in using Flourel?

I feel bad for her, but in the end, Amelia is my sister not her.

I'm not really the type to think much so I'll just do that.

I closed the book and called for the servants to dress me up.

I ignored their looks of bewilderment when I told them I'm going out.

Before my sister and father comes home, I should meet up with the priest now.

After the war with the monsters Amelia was heavily scolded by the Earl for a long time.

Amelia wasn't even given the chance to explain herself nor protest and was immediately sent back home to reflect on herself.

Amelia was surprised to see that Remil was waiting for her and was even more surprised when Remil looked gloomy than usual.

"I guess… father's not home yet?"

Amelia asked in an awkward manner while trying to change Remil's mood.

After a long silence that highlighted the awkward atmosphere, Remil finally nodded to answer back.

"Father must still be busy after meeting the King"

Amelia smiled while thinking about her father who scolded her nonstop.

But Amelia's smile did not last long as silence continued to fill the room.

Amelia looked at Remil who unusually did not move away and remained still in her place.

Amelia wondered if there's something more that Remil wanted to say.

"I guess the news about the monsters has already spread"

Amelia continued the conversation while looking at Remil.

"...."

"Is there something wrong?"

"...."

Amelia felt more awkward while looking at Remil's mask that hid her facial expressions.

Soon an idea came to mind and Amelia was taken aback for a moment.

But instead of backing away she nervously spit out her thoughts with a determined expression.

"P-Perhaps are you worried about me?"

Amelia asked with a hopeful look that her twin sister cared for her.

Silence continued and Amelia almost regretted of voicing out her delusions.

"I guess"

Soon Remil's soft voice echoed in her ears and Amelia's soul and body froze.

Hearing Remil says that she cares for her, Amelia felt like the world now revolves around her.

"Hehe…"

Amelia laughed with a nasty grin on her face and soon hugged Remil while begging to cuddle.

Somehow today, Remil was uncharacteristically sweet and clingy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sevir felt like drowning.

After passing out, what appeared in his view after the dark was a battle.

His body was all bloody and filled with wounds and the only thing around him was the corpses of all his dead comrades.

His heart almost stopped when he saw Ron, Amil and Moros were dead among the others.

His hand trembled and everything looked blurry.

He felt like throwing up and passing out for the second time.

When he was about to give up, the same thing happened as before, and his body felt stronger.

The purple mist appeared all over his body and it caused him to stand up in a hurry.

Sevir looked down and was more surprised at his grown-up body.

A body filled with well-built muscles felt like a fantasy.

"This must be a dream"

He mumbled and looked around to see that all the corpses around him were gone.

"Was it really?"

Sevir was taken aback when he heard a sweet voice from behind.

The bloody battlefield was now gone and what remained was the beautiful scenery of the sunset.

Near the cliff was the back of a woman with a golden hair.

He was surprised to see an unknown woman in his dream so unconsciously he tried to reach out.

Seeing his bloody arms and torn sleeves, Sevir suddenly felt embarrassed for trying to reach out to her with his dirty hand.

"You're hurt"

The soft voice and worried voice almost healed him and after saying that the wounds in his body had also disappeared.

"Sevir, don't get hurt for me"

She said with a tearful plea in her tone. Sevir wanted to ask what she meant.

But before he could do anything, Sevir was immediately woken up by the cries of his friends.

"Sevir don't dieeee!!!!!"

Ron shouted while shaking his body up and down.

Sevir looked at Ron with a dumbfounded expression.

Remembering the blurry dream, Sevir almost thought of punching his friends for waking him up.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a week has passed Sevir finally recovered from all his injuries in the battle.

At the request of the Earl no one said about the appearance of Amelia in the battle so even Sevir knew nothing about how he and his friends were saved.

Still the dream with the woman kept Sevir awake and he couldn't stop thinking about it.

Soon Sevir was called by the commander and Sevir demonstrated his newfound power.

With the help of Sevir tests were conducted to see if it's only him who could do it.

But to everyone's surprise, Sevir's power was something that he already had from the beginning and that the battle only helped in bringing them out.

There was a possibility that this power is latent to every being and can be unlocked by certain circumstances.

Though one of the reasons is for sure the presence of the otherworldly beings.

Experiments and tests were made with Sevir on the center of everything.

Everyone put their hopes that Sevir was the key to saving the humanity if ever the war against the monsters will happen.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[I shouldn't have met the High Priest]

Remil grumbled and thought so.

He never told me anything about the future events but only the fact that all beings in the world had no capability to see their own future.

If what he said was true, then who was the witch that destroyed the kingdom in the book?

If I can't see my own future, then why is it that the witch who caused devastation was an exact copy of me?

Although I'm involved in it, the priest does not trust me enough to tell me what he knew.

Sure, he is willing to accept my help to protect my sister but to think that he already knew that I'm going to meet him was a little shocking.

Does he also know that I'm a witch? Is that why he can't tell me?

It's a little bit annoying that I can't ask him directly if he knew I'm a witch or not or else I'm basically declaring my identity.

I looked at the Book of Life again and read how much he is wary of me.

But reading about it more, I then realized that it's not because he knows my identity.

The High Priest is probably wary of me because I looked exactly like the witch who destroyed the kingdom in the future.

No, should I say that the witch looked exactly like me, not the other way around?

That means the witch in the prophecy must have been my kid or probably my descendants.

If the cause of the Kingdom's downfall was my descendants and the Priest is helping Amelia to stop that devastating future…

Then was it because Amelia was locked up by the Prince that I came to have children?

How is it all connected?

Should I just not marry anyone to stop that?

That's the more likely solution for this but the Priest don't seem to think that way. He never even advises me to not get married.

Maybe Amelia's circumstances are more important to him than the Kingdom? Is that it?

Should I visit him more and probe about the future he saw?

Next time, I should also tell him that if he wants my help then he should tell me what he knows.
