"How long we have to wait?" The lad spoke while pushing his heirs back in annoyance as the other male sitting on the chair spin the glass of wine in his hand, least bothered by the lad's constant nagging.
"Alpha?? Are you even listening?" He again spoke while raising the tone of his voice to pull alpha out from his though lands. But it didn't work as alpha took a sip from his glass and that made the lad realise that he's being ignored. With a defeated sigh, throwing his hands in the air, the lad walked up to the door. "Fine. Do as you wish."
Somewhere else at the same time -
"Ugh!! How long we have to wait?" The blond male whisper in almost inaudible voice while taking a sip of water from his bottle. The burning heat of the sun making his sweat run down his neck as he wipped few droplets on his forehead using the sleeve of his t-shirt. The unbothered lady glanced at the blond before resuming to her position where she could capture a view of the land scattered in front of her, covered with thick green velvety texture of grass and tall trees standing proudly everywhere. If someone walks through it, it's impossible to track them. Best place to hide for hunters. "Livie, can we go back?" Andy asked carefully not to offend his so called concentrated best friend and lifting up his bag ready to run away, despite her reply. "Yeah. Take one step and we'll meet in hell." Livie didn't budge, but her warning left Andy rooting on his place. He threw back his bag on ground while glaring at the unbothered lady which turned a little into admirable gaze as he stared at her more.
"Hey, look." The whisper yelled voice of Livie brought Andy back on earth as his ears perked up and he jumped to take out his binocular. Crouching beside the female, the male tried to find what they were searching for, from past 2 days.
"What? Where's the Wolf? I can't see it?" He whispered back, hastily looking everywhere. "Idiot. It's not wolf. It's deer." Livie turned Andy's binocular at the direction where two deer were sitting while enjoying the peaceful moment. "Are you serious?" Andy sat up looking at Livie as she also left her posture after sitting in the same place for more than 2 hours. "What?" She asked while removing the lense of her camera and blowing off the dust from it.
"Livie. We are here to find the wolf. Not to see the deer doing....I don't know.....whatever they're doing." "They're chilling. Just like us." Livie stood on her legs while dusting her pants as Andy caugh when it went to his nose. "We're not *caugh* chilling. We're getting roast. So when we found this non-existing wolf, he can eat us, enjoyably." Andy finished speaking and stood up to face Livie as she chuckled at the way he said all those things. "You're funny, Andy. You know that?" Her tone was calm as a river.
"You think I'm funny? Well, you're the one who's looking for a non-existing creature just by believing some old folks talk in the village and burning yourself in this 40°C temperature, and you think I'm funny. Ha!! That gotta be the biggest joke I've heard." Andy laugh sarcastically as the female shook her head side to side, waiting for his sarcastic laughs to stop. "If there's smoke, then there must be fire." Her eyes roam around the green forest before she stuff back her equipments in her bag and carried it on her back while the blond stood there staring at her without blinking his eyes.
"Wait, we're actually leaving?" A satisfying smile was about to pop up on Andy's face but Livie didn't let that happened. "I am leaving. You're staying here and keeping an eye around. Don't forget to update me." Livie winked at Andy and walked away leaving a whining and complaining Andy behind.
AT NIGHT -
Andy came back 1 hour after Livie left with as usual empty handed. Livie started to feel disappointed and somewhere the doubt of being actually getting fooled by the villagers words started peek in her mind.
"He was so big."
"His eyes were red and looking at him i was sure he'll k*ll me."
"He looked angry. I don't want to remember anymore."
The villagers words started to roam in her head as she bite her lips while pacing back and forth in her room. "They all can't be laying." She self talk while going from one corner to the other corner of her hotel room. Groaning while holding her heirs she sat on the bed. "There must be some way." After sitting like that for a minute or two, her hands flew to her phone as she opened it and searched for wolf's traits and behaviour.
Reading through the information line by line, she came across a bar. "Wolf like to hunt mostly at the downfall of evening and nights." Livie's eyes sparkle with one side of her lip twitching upwards. "I see."
The clock strike something around 11.34 as Livie removed the sheets over her face and body to look around her room. Andy, who was on the other bed in the opposite side of room, was sleeping like a dead got a sigh from Livie. "Perfect." She muttered taking out her bag from under her bed which she packed prior. Tip-toeing towards the door with her shoes in her hands, she tried to be as silent as possible. Finally reaching to the door, she was about to twist it open when Andy shuffle in his bed making her stop at her tracks. She glanced at Andy with her squinted eyes but saw him snoring as a breath of released escaped her mouth. Closing the door behind her after coming out of her room, Livie felt like she have crossed a river full of alligators without getting eaten.
IN THE FOREST -
The sound of leaves crumbling under her feet got mixed with the trickling of night insects. Her ears were alert as she walk deeper in the woods which were covered under the giant trees. The falling leaves and the spider-nets everywhere was making it look more creepy. Livie gulp while moving her torch everywhere to see as much as possible in the dark night. Her ears perked up hearing the shuffling behind the bushes. she hurriedly switched off her torch and pulled out her camera. Taking slow steps, not to make any noise, Livie stood beside the bushes. "It's do or die." Taking a deep breath, she slide away the sticks and leaves before forwarding her camera ready to click picture of wolf but her face fell in disappointment as she saw the deer.
"Deer again. Hi there...deer." She sigh while waving her hand towards the deer who stared at her clueless. A small smile twitched on her face as she gazed at the deer. "Can't it be a wolf?" She muttered while looking at the deer but froze on her spot when she heard light growling behind her. The movements of deer confirmed it that it's actually what she's thinking. "O sh*t. I didn't mean it that fast." She mumble while steadily turning around to have her heart in her mouth as she came face to face with the big wolf which glared at her with his fangs on full display as he growled breathing fire. "Hi t-here...wolf?" She whispered the last word as the wolf growled loudly making Livie flinch and tiny scream leaving her lips. The deer ran for his life seeing the creature. The wolf threw his claw in air as Livie got alerted and moved back saving herself from the attack. But her luck wasn't at her side as she stumble between the roots of the trees and fall back as her camera flew from her hand and landed somewhere on the ground. The sharp nails came in contact with her ankle as it peirce her flesh leaving a deep wound.
"Oh no. Oh no. Oh God no." She crawled back and back trying to get away from the wolf but the angry wolf was not in any mood to let her go. "No!!" She covered her face with her hands, shutting her eyes tightly when the wolf again raised his sharp claw. The loud howling came while piercing through the silent night as the wolf stopped in his tracks. He looked around him before taking a step back, whilst Livie removed her hands from her face seeing the wolf walking backwards.
Breathing heavily, she looked at the wolf and saw his eyes and ears perked up at the movements from other side. Livie looked at the other side, only to had her jaw touch the ground. She saw another wolf walking out from the bushes as he growled to the first wolf, scaring him and you, as well. She looked around herself to find her camera and found it a little far away, laying on the ground. She look back at the two wolfs who were walking in circle around each other and took that chance to crawled towards her camera.
But just as she was about to touch it, a claw came in between, stopping Livie in her tracks. Her eyes widen as she hesitantly looked up to see a pair of red eyes looking down at her which made her gasp as she moved back. The wolf kept staring at her without moving as Livie could feel her heart beating like a bullet train. "Oh God." She whispered looking around to see if there's anything she could save herself from. Gazing at the thick stick laying on the ground, she hastily picked it up and held it in front her trying to stop the wolf. But oh whom she was kidding with. The wolf moved closer and held the stick in his sharp teeths before throwing it somewhere. Tears brimmed in Livie's eyes as she took deep and heavy breaths while closing her eyes ready to accept her fate. But after few seconds, she felt something wet touching her leg as she shoot her eyes open to see the wolf licking her leg where she got wounded. "Are you....tasting me?" Livie stared confusingly at the actions of wolf as her eyes turned soft.
For unknown reasons, her heart raced up but that wasn't fear for sure. The wolf looked up making an eye contact with Livie making her flinch as she straighten her posture, but didn't crawl back. The wolf move closer and closer until his face was right in front of her as they both deeply stared at each others eyes. "What are you?" Livie mumble keeping the strong eye contact, while the inner wolf of the alpha screamed.
"Mate!!!"
