"What do you mean, she left?" Lucian's growl made everyone in the room go silent as he glared at Ryan who was the only one to stared back at him. No one else dare to look at the angry alpha as they all keep their eyes fixed on the floor. "Alpha, until we reach were she was staying, she had already check out of the hotel. I tried to get her information, but they didn't gave it to me." Ryan's tone was calm while he explained everything to Lucian.
With a sigh, Lucian banged his hand on the table. "Oh moon goddess. Now where am I supposed to find her?" Ryan motion the others to leave them alone as everyone walk out of the room. "Alpha, I think we can still find her." Lucian's eyes snapped towards Ryan as he straighten his posture. "How?"
"Well we have quite expert hackers in our pack. And it's not that hard to sneak inside a company's website to get an address." Ryan shrugged his shoulders as if it's not a big deal while Lucian's eyes widen. He never approves any kind of misdeeds but it was about his mate. So he decided to take the risk. "Fine. Just make sure no one finds out." Lucian looked away making Ryan grin and nod. "As you wish alpha."
After Ryan walked out of the room, Lucian pulled out his phone from his pocket and stared at his wallpaper of Livie's portrait he made. His heart beat increases automatically the moment he thinks about her or sees her picture. "Just a little long. Then we'll be together."
"Even though we didn't talk with each other. I'm missing your voice. I'm missing the way you looked at me. I'm missing your scent. I'm missing everything about you. Only I know, how much I've held myself from burning down this whole world to hold you in my arms. I'm already so late to find you, and now you're playing this hide and seek game with me."
"You know when we'll meet, I'm gonna hold you close to my heart and made you hear my heart which beats only for you, my love. I hope that day come soon. When I won't need your picture to see you and I could tell this all to you and not your portrait." Lucian's eyes turned moist as he spoke his heart while staring at his phone screen. The distance feeling to long for him as his heart grieved for his mate. But he knew that he's going to meet her soon. She'll be with him soon. And that was the hope which was keeping him alive.
2 DAYS LATER -
"Good morning squirrel. Rise and shine." Livie's eyes flutter open hearing her fathers morning call. He removed the curtains allowing the sunlight to enter her room as she whine in her sleep and pulled the sheets over her head. Her father chuckled at her actions. "C'mon princess, it's already late. Get up." He tried to remove the sheets from her body but she was holding it tightly. "2 minutes dad, please." Her sleepy tone made him sigh as he stopped pulling the sheets. "Fine. I'm getting late, so I'll be leaving. Your breakfast is placed on the dining table. Don't forget to eat it." He placed a kiss on her forehead as she hummed still in her slumber. Her father chuckle and left the room while shaking his head.
Livie was about to drift back in her dreamland when the ringing of her phone disturbed her sleep. She groan pushing her head in the pillow but the phone kept ringing irritating the hell out of her. "Who the hell..." She muttered while stretching her hand to grab her phone placed on the nightstand. Without looking at the caller ID she answered the call and placed it on her ear with her eyes still close.
"Who?" Her tone clearly indicating her sleepiness as she didn't even bother to great the person on the line. "Good morning Livie." The feminine voice made Livie to scrunch her nose as she slightly opened her eyes to see whom she was talking with. She saw the name 'Cassie' on her phone and rolled her eyes before placing the phone back on her ear. "There's nothing good about this morning." she said while rolling on her bed as now she laid on her stomach.
"Why? What happened?" Cassie sounded concern making Livie chuckle. "Well you just disturbed my beauty sleep." She said sarcastically as she heard Cassie giggling on the other side. "Ok. I'm sorry for that. But I need your help." Cassie's tone got lower at the end as she waited for Livie's reply. "Obviously you need my help. Why would you call me at this time anyways." Livie spoke after a long pause causing Cassie to laugh sheepishly. "Oh c'mon Livie. I know you'll help me." She sounded more happy than before making Livie to sit up on her bed. "But I didn't say I'll help you." Cassie went silent after hearing Livie's reply.
"Please Livie. Just this once. Please please please. Pretty please." She whined from the other side of the phone as Livie could imagine her face while she beg her to help. "Only if you promise to give me a treat at a 5 star hotel." Livie cut off Cassie in between as she agreed almost immediately. "Done babe. Thanks." Cassie's squealing made Livie smile at her friends childishness. "But what am I supposed to help you with?"
"Well nothing much. You just have to replace me at my upcoming shoot." "Huh?" Livie didn't get what Cassie was saying when she mentioned shoot. "What do you mean?" "What I mean is, I'm appointed as a photographer for tomorrow's shoot. But tomorrow is my boyfriend's birthday. And you know I can't miss it. So you just have to go there and click some pictures of the models. That's it." Livie heard and digested every word of Cassie slowly until the realisation hit her. "Wait, does that mean you want me to take photos of models?" Livie asked as now her eyes were fully open as her sleep flee away. "I think that's what I just said." Cassie tried not to sound sarcastic as she mumbled those words.
"Cassie, I'm a wild life photographer. How can I?" "Oh c'mon Livie. You've done this before. Please just one more time. For me. Please." She again started to whine and plead leaving Livie with no other choice but to agree. "Fine." She said while heaving out a sigh as Cassie jumped in happiness. "Yes!! Thank you babe. I love you. I'll send you the details and address of where you have to go. Don't worry. My assistant will be there to help, so you'll not face any problem. Thank you once again Livie." Livie sigh looking at the blank phone screen after the call got disconnected and fell back on the bed. "Argh!! What I got myself into."
After laying in the bed like a lifeless body for few minutes, Livie finally decided to take a bath and complete her morning routine. All the way along, the only thing she was thinking about is the shoot. Yes she had done it before. But that was the most horrible experience she ever had.
It was when she was a newbie in this field and her teacher/guide suggested her to take up any formal shoot for practising her angles. Everything was fine, except the model. The female model was so rude and full of attitude that she tont Livie after every 2 minutes. It was like she had any kind of grudges against her. Actually she had. Livie was in her formal clothes yet she was gaining more attraction than her which somehow hurt her ego. All the males were trying to have a conversation with Livie which made the model's blood boil in anger and she took out her anger by dissing her photography. She didn't approve any of the pictures she clicked which made Livie angry cause she knew that her pictures were more than perfect.
Since then Livie never again took any photoshoot for models. She thinks that animals are much better.
Coming in the kitchen, Livie enjoyed her breakfast, when ber father's thought crossed her mind. "I hope dad won't mind it."
AT LUCIAN'S PLACE -
"Any updates?" Ryan nodded his head negatively at Lucian's question making him sigh. "How long?" "Stay calm alpha. The security system of that hotel is high. But don't worry we'll manage it." Lucian couldn't help but nod at Ryan's words as he can't do anything right now.
"By the way, there sre some problem with the latest investors in our upcoming project. And they wants to meet you. I think we need to go there." Sighing for 10th time, Lucian nodded his head towards Ryan. "Fine then. Make arrangements to leave. I'll personally meet them." Ryan nodded and immediately left to do as said. While Lucian couldn't help but think of his mate who is close yet so far from him.
"How long are you going to make me wait, my moon?"
