LUCIAN'S POV. -
I sat on my seat in the dark meeting room. My eyes were closed, but her face was flashing in front of my eyes constantly making my lips twitched in a smile. It was hardly 5 minutes encounter, but staring in her eyes felt like the eternity. I saw my whole world in her blue eyes. She was so mesmerising. I was leaning on the chair, lost in my thoughts when I heard the knock on the door. I opened my eyes and straighten my posture before letting the person enter.
"Alpha, they are here." Ryan said and entered the room followed by few mens. They all bowed to me and stood in a line in front of me while Ryan came and stood beside me. "Who was it?" I asked with my cold voice making everyone to share look with each other. I roamed my eyes from one person to another as they all stood with confused looks but one of them had a little flabbergasted look. My eyes narrowed as I sensed his distress.
I raised myself from my seat and walk around them like a predator gusting on his prey. I stood behind that specific person as he shiver with my cold aura. "It was you, wasn't it?" I asked in a whisper tone making him flinch as he gulped hard. "W-What are you talkin-g about alpha?" Oh boy. I smirked while walking in front of him as his gaze was fixed on the floor. "Oh, so you don't know what I'm talking about?" I decreased the distance between us as he gulped while taking few steps back. The sweat running down his forehead made it clear that he was trying to hide something. I stood a step closer while glaring at him as my eyes must have turn red. I saw his pupils enlarging before he abruptly threw himself on my legs.
"Forgive me, alpha. I didn't mean to..." He let out a historic cry while begging for forgiveness as I stared at him with a cold gaze while everyone else were looking at each other. "I will not do that again." He said while raising his head daring to look in my eyes. I stared at him before signaling him to stand up. "I'm forgiving you this time. But next time don't forget the rules. We don't harm humans until it's necessary." I pointed my finger at him and then back at everyone as they all gulped and bow. I asked them to leave as they left the room one by one.
Ryan came closer to me and put his hand on my shoulder causing me to look at his eyes. He's my brother and best friend since childhood. We have been growing up together. It was always the two of us. He knows everything about me. Infact, he knows me better than anyone else.
Since childhood , I was always treated and raised to be an alpha. I was never asked if I really want to take this responsibility or not. But my father being the alpha, it was decided that his son will be the next alpha and leader of the pack. It's not like I don't want this responsibility, but sometimes I think that maybe I'm not the specific one to suit this position. Ryan is my cousin brother. After me, he's the one who is the most trusted and respected one. The beta of our pack.
"Something's bothering you alpha?" He asked making me sigh. "You don't have to be so formal Ryan." I said walking back at my chair and taking a seat. "You seem a little upset. Is everything alright?" He repeated his question more detailed. I took a long breath while closing my eyes as her blue eyes again flashed in front of my eyes. "Nothing is alright. Everything seems blur." I whisper with a smile on my face. "Are you not feeling well? Should I call the doctor?" There he goes again. I chuckle while rubbing my forehead. "Calm down Ryan." I opened my eyes to see him staring at me with worried eyes. I again chuckle subtly. "What if I say....I found her." I saw his eyes crashing in confusion before they augmented with realisation. His eyes widen more than I expected as he stood at his place speechless. It was silent for long minute until his tongue moved and he spit out so many questions at once. "Who is she? Were did you find her? Is she from our pack? No she must be from other pack as you didn't found her before. Is she know that you're her soulmate? How did she reacted?Did you-" And before he could speak anymore I glared at him silencing him at one. "God you're so noisy." I whine while throwing my head back.
"Well the only thing I know is, no she's not from our pack neither from any other. Actually she's a....human." I said carefully and studied his expression. Obviously he'll not make it a big deal, but knowing the fact that I'm an alpha means my wife and soulmate is going to be luna, it can be a really big thing for my pack. He looked down while staring at his feets lost in his deep thoughts. I waited until he spoke again. "Alpha, that can be...you know....be a serious issue. Of course I have no issue. But maybe the pack members and community members will rais an issue over this." I nodded with a sigh knowing that he has a point. But no matter what, now that I have found my soulmate, there's no way I'll leave her and marry someone else.
"Ryan, I need your help. I don't know anything about. So you have to gather her information." He nodded excitedly while giving me a thumbs up. "And one more. No one should know about this until I found her again." He again nodded and I smile thinking about the moment I'll again meet her. Will she recognise me? Or she will think of me as a creep? However it will, I'll make sure that she'll fall in love with me.
"Alpha...?" Ryan's voice pushed me out of my thinking as I looked at him with raised eyebrow. "How am I supposed to find her?" He asked making me facepalm myself. Obviously he won't know how she looks. I am the one who have seen her. "Wait for a while. I'll give you her portrait." I stood while dusting my coat and walking towards the exit. Leaving the room with Ryan alone in, I walk towards my art room. The fresh smell of paint welcomed me as I smile brightly while removing my coat and folding up my sleeves. I pulled out a blank canva and the color box with a new palate. Arranging all the things, I sat on the stool with my brush in my hand.
I closed my eyes as her glowing face under the moonlight, her hair flowing with air, her blue eyes staring at mine fearlessly yet surprisingly, everything came in front of my eyes at once. That flickering of her eyes between my eyes and my fangs made her look so cute. I opened my eyes and laugh a little before dipping the brush in the color and stroking it on the white canva. As the time passed, the white canva turned into various colors before a beautiful goddess appear on it. The portrait looked like her reflection as I stared at her while holding my breath. I can't believe my soulmate is so beautiful.
I put down the brush and walk towards the window. The moon was brightly shining in the sky as I closed my eyes and bowed to the moon. "Thank you moon goddess. I knew you won't be so cruel to not give me my soulmate. And on top of that, you made her beautiful. Thank you so much." I deep heartedly expressed my feelings while staring in the sky as if the moon was staring back at me, with a bright smile.
I walk back inside and stared at the portrait until I was satisfied. Then I called Ryan as he came in an instant. "Here. This is my soulmate." I saw his eyes visibly enlarging as he contained himself from saying something which will danger his life. He turned towards me with a smile. "Our Luna is perfect fit for you." I smile at his complement. "Take this portrait. It will help you to find her." I told him as he again nodded repeatedly before taking the picture of the portrait.
He gave a small smile before walking towards the door to leave but halted in his steps before turning back towards me. "Alpha!!" He said making me give him all my attention. "What's her name?" His question made me again went back in my thoughts. Last night that guy called her as Livie. That must be her name.
"Livie. Her name is Livie." Ryan nodded and finally left the room as I sigh and again went towards the window to stared at the moon.
"Don't worry my moon. You'll be in my arms soon."
