Levina spun around, and Zarek was already close, with three guards behind him. Zarek beamed a smile. "Levina," he called her in a deliberately low tone. Levina bowed her head slightly, wondering if Zarek could hear her heart slamming against her chest. If she got out of this alive, she was going to steer clear of these two warring brothers. "My lord, why are you here?" she muttered.
"For you, of course," he replied with a smile. Levina swallowed, her eyes wandering to the three men behind him and then returning to Zarek's face. "Did I do something wrong?" she asked weakly.
"You tell me. Did you do something wrong?" he folded his hands behind him. Levina looked back at Marie and then shook her head. "I don't think so."
Zarek stared at her and held her gaze. "So tell me, why did you accuse me of harassing you last night?"
