"See?" Lucien said, pointing at Zarek. "He doesn't even remember that he was drinking," Lucien laughed in mockery. "Gentlemen! My brother does not recall any of his actions from last night, including the part where he passed out and was picked up by one of the guards on duty."
Raoh stepped outside and returned with Maren. "My lords," Maren bowed his head. "This woman here," he pointed at Marie, "told me she saw the prince passed out on the ground. When I got there, I saw the prince on the ground, and I carried him into the marquee. General Haldrich saw me when I brought the prince inside."
Haldrich, a short man with neatly trimmed red beards and grey at his temple, nodded. "Yes, I saw him bring Prince Zarek in."
"Do you recall any of this?" Lucien asked, daring Zarek to object. Zarek did not respond.
Lucien tucked his hands into his pockets and wore a small smile. "If Zarek does not recall any of the events that occurred, how can he deny the allegation against him?"
