"Take it easy now, Lev. You're making me shy!" he teased, dramatically covering his chest with his hands.
Levina spun around, her cheeks brimming with the brightest shade of pink. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
She trailed off when she heard a harsh sound of shuffling, snapping, and the rearrangement of bones. Levina quickly turned around and found Lucien on the ground. His hands and feet had been replaced with huge, scaly, dull-green paws. Levina's hand immediately flew to her mouth as her eyes burned with unshed tears. He looked like he was in pain, and she imagined he would be in pain with all the snapping and really scary sounds coming from within his body.
