Chapter 1 - Preface

Dear friends.

I received a very interesting question from a reader and realized that I had not made important clarifications in the novel. Therefore, I hasten to correct myself so that you do not get confused in my terminology.

I'll make a reservation right away, this imaginary world belongs to me, and the laws of other fantasy authors do not apply here. This world is the way I see it and imagine it for you.

The main thing you need to remember is that there is a difference between magicians and wizards. It's not the same thing.

A magician is a person who has the ability to create, change and destroy with the help of artifacts and magic wands, through which they drive their energy. The magical gift can be developed from scratch (in mixed marriages) or inherited (in families of pure-blooded magicians). Magicians have inner strength, but they can channel it exclusively through objects.

A wizard is a person who generates magic inside himself without the participation of any magical attributes, using only the power of thought, concentrating magical flows with his whole body. Wizards breed exclusively within their own race. A child cannot be born from a wizard's connection with a person. The first wizards were created by God to maintain the earthly balance. In the future, they themselves maintained the purity of their kind.

For example, a magician creates gold by changing an object, while a wizard creates gold simply out of thin air.

There is also a separate subcategory: witches and manush (gypsies). The former use magic wands and amulets on a par with magicians to direct energy flows, but for this they need to recite spells that they have been studying all their lives.

Manush are ordinary people who have mastered black magic. They are often confused with witches, but in the original position witches did not resort to black magic and only with the coming to power of Lilian it became ubiquitous, this is what created the stereotype that witches and manush come from the same species. But in fact this is not the case.

I really hope that this explanation will help you better immerse yourself in the world of my novel.
