"We should wash up and get to our posts," Marie said, breaking the silence. Levina nodded and stood up, giving Marie one last glance before leaving the room. She really hoped that Marie was not at the camp to seek revenge or anything related to it.
Lucien paced restlessly about the marquee. He had underestimated Levina's level of stubbornness when he tried to speak to her the previous night. He knew it would be difficult to convince her to follow him, but he had been confident that in the end, she would give in. But she didn't.
