Reef was sleeping when Bella walked into his room. The nurse gave her five minutes as Reef still needed to rest after regaining consciousness. Reef is dressed in hospital clothes, a large bandage on his temple. Piper gave her additional information, Reef had seven stitches.
Bella slowly moved closer to the edge of the bed. Reef looked peaceful. His chest rose and fell quietly. There was an IV tube in his right arm, Bella placed her hand carefully on Reef's open palm. She felt the warmth of Reef's body and listened to the sound of his regular breathing. Her feelings of guilt came back. Why did she always hurt Reef?
When he was sleeping, he was so calm and handsome. It was like being Reef again before they separated. Bella was silent looking at the sleeping face. Then suddenly, Reef's palm grasped her hand slowly.
