When Kylie informed Bella of her departure to New York, the first thing Bella asked was if Kylie had booked a hotel. Bella would help her find a hotel. Or, if Kylie didn't mind, Kylie could stay at Bella's apartment and sleep on the couch.
"Oh, that's very kind of you, darling." Kylie replied cheerfully. "No, I don't want to sleep on your couch. It's so inconvenient for us. I'm going to stay in a hotel. Don't worry, I'm no stranger to New York. I used to come there quite often."
"Where is your hotel?"
"A standard hotel, not far from Times Square."
"I'll find you a nicer hotel near my apartment."
"No need, Bella."
"Kylie, take it easy. You're my guest. And you also came to help me take care of Reef. I won't leave you stranded, okay?"
Kylie laughed. "You're treating me like a child. Fine, whatever you want if it makes you happy."
"And, don't take a cab alone to the hotel or to my apartment, okay Kylie?"
