Bella had prepared the prom dress since a month ago. Her mother gave her some money secretly without her father knowing. Janet Ross knew Bella would definitely go with Reef. Although she didn't like the youngster much, she didn't want to put too many restrictions on Bella like her husband. On the other hand, Alex Ross would forbid Bella from going to prom night if it meant going with Reef Davis. Therefore, Bella never mentioned prom night in front of her father, and hid the prom dress.
"How did you leave without your father knowing?" asked Mariel. "How about you leave from my house? We can leave together, the four of us with Reef and Cody." Cody was Mariel's boyfriend whom she had started dating only two months ago.
"Good idea," Bella replied happily. "Then I'll leave the house early."
"Just say you're staying at my house," Mariel suggested. "Pack your dress in front of Aunt Ruth so she'll believe you."
