Now Bella really understood why Carter had repeatedly warned her about the dangers of dealing with Nathan. Carter himself was actually quite familiar with his uncle. Bella knows that occasionally Carter goes for a drink with Nathan or they meet to talk about something. "I've known him my whole life," Carter told her one day. "I've always been wary.
