Piper Larsen is a tall girl with short blonde hair who looks like a boy at first glance. She is half Scandinavian with almost symmetrical facial features and a cold look. Piper was sitting in front of the bar counter. Her blue eyes twinkled at the sight of Reef walking toward her.
"Reef Davis!"
"Piper!"
They hugged while laughing because they hadn't seen each other in a long time. In college, they were very close. Piper was from Pennsylvania and worked at a contracting agency with offices in Manhattan.
"What brings you here all of a sudden?"
"I had some business," Reef said. "Then, I remembered an old friend of mine. You used to be very tomboyish. Now.... " Reef stepped back a little to observe his friend. "Wow, since when did you replace your jeans, bomber jacket and sneakers with skirts and high heels?"
