The barring of music could be heard over the Prime region as the day to crown Sage had arrived. Outside the pack, the building was already filled up with pack members who were there to witness the coronation of their crowned Alpha.
While in his room, Sage looked at himself in the mirror and scoffed. The way he was dressed up doesn't suit him. Wearing a long full robe designed with crystal stone and pure gold looked weird on him. Even when he was tall, the robe still swept the floor making him look like a Greek God. However, he was used to wearing a random t-shirt and pants but now that he was becoming an Alpha, he would need to put on something like what he was putting on often. He groaned and sent the maids who were helping him away. He was just a normal pack member now they made him a king. He hasn't dreamed of it before and it starts to manifest itself as something he was interested in.
He heaved a heavy sigh and jabbed his into Aurora mind to talk to her. "What are you doing?" He asked immediately if he found his way through.
"Stocking myself up with heavy clothes," she muttered and Sage chuckled.
"You get used to it soon, Luna," Sage mocked and laughed again.
"I don't like it. You shouldn't have informed the King. Everything is just so depressing," she stated and Sage could sense how worried she was. King Cowell had just revealed to her that she would take up the throne with him since she was his mate. He told him there was no need to keep waiting because Aurora was officially his mate. "Isn't it too sudden?" Aurora inquired and he shook his head as if she could see him.
"I don't see anything wrong with it. Sooner or later, you'll be my Luna and I don't think I'll be waiting for later. It is the best thing I can ever want if I ever have to be on the throne," he admitted.
"Hmmm," Aurora mumbled. "Anyways, it's not so bad being a Luna, I just don't want to lose my post as a pack tracker."
"You will."
"I can pull these heavy clothes off my body if you don't mind," she teased but Sage wouldn't let it happen.
"Fine," he said. "When will you be here?" He asked shifting away from the mirror to his bed and sat gracefully on it."
There was silence as no one knew what to say. When it was becoming too long, Sage muttered, "Are you nervous?"
"So nervous. I mean, I can't possibly be the Luna of my pack. It looks weird. I've never dreamt of it before," she bellowed.
"I promise to be by your side," he assured. "I won't let you go, Aurora. Just trust me."
"Of course, I do and I'm the one who will be by your side. Don't forget," she said and Sage couldn't help but giggle again.
A knock came on his door and he answered, telling the person to come in. "Stay safe, Aurora, I will be waiting for you," he said and cut off their link.
"The King asked for you in his chamber," one of the maids who had come to dress him up delivered, her head bowed.
"I'll be on my way," Sage assured and the maid nodded her head before striding out back.
He stood up from his bed and checked his outfit again before making his way out of his room. The house was empty since his parents were already in the pack building to welcome in other visitors from the neighbourhood pack.
He entered the back seat while the maids took another car and they drove straight to the pack building. They reached there in a few minutes and Sage was ushered to the King's chamber.
He entered the King's chamber and met Alpha Cowell chatting with his father. "Alpha, Father," he greeted and went fully in.
"You look more of a King in your gown, Sage," Alpha Cowell praised.
"Thank you, Alpha," Sage comprehended and turned to his father who was smiling really hard. "Where's your He asked and his father's smile swivelled into irritation.
"Is that how to address your mother?" Beta Craig growled through gritted teeth.
Sage choked on his laugh and mumbled, "I'm sorry."
Alpha smiled sheepishly at their conversation, then he beckoned Sage to come closer. Sage did while the king turned to a large Jaden box placed on the bed. He opened it and brought out a sparkling gold cape and wrapped it over Sage's shoulder.
"It's a sign of royals so keep it safe," the king muttered and tapped him softly on his shoulder.
"Thank you, Alpha," Sage appreciated checking out the cape that would have caused a fortune.
"Where's your Luna?" Beta Craig asked.
"She's on her way," Sage answered. "Where's my mother?"
Beta Craig scoffed and ignored his question, "Can we start going now?"
"Sure. C'mon the gathering's waiting," the King said and trotted his way out of his chamber.
The large door was opened with a loud uproar that filled the entire pack building as members of the pack cheered excitedly to welcome in the King and his associates.
When Alpha Cowell got to the throne, he stood to address the shifters inside the hall.
"I'm so glad that the pack has accepted the new King and I want to thank everyone for their support," he acknowledged, letting his eyes roam all about their faces. The crowd cheered again and he interrupted them when he raised his hands to stop the wail.
He turned to Sage who was already sitting on the throne and took some steps toward him as he removed the golden King's crown from his head.
Sage bowed his head as the King began to say his oration, "I, King Tristan Cowell step down from the throne and crown you Sage Acwulf as the next King of Lock Hearts Pack in front of the witnesses," he divulged and placed the Crown on Sage's bent head while the crowd celebrated their new King with their hails. Sage stood up, moved to the middle of the altar and bowed his head in appreciation.
"All hails, Alpha Sage!" Someone shouted and everyone did the same.
The hails ended and the King turned to Sage, "Where's your Luna?" He asked, taking everyone by surprise. Sage had seen his mate?
"She's here," a fighter announced and everyone turned to see their Luna. Perplexity took over the hall when they sighted Aurora.
