Chereads / My Nerd Mate: I Won't Let Her Go / Chapter 35 - Get On Your Knees

Chapter 35 - Get On Your Knees

It was dusk and Aurora was yet to be home. After she had stomped away from Sage, she hadn't returned and it bothered Sage. He also tried to mind-link her but she kept blocking him away from her mind.

He let out a heavy sigh and slumped on the sofa in their chamber. He was exhausted after having a meeting with the elders throughout the day.

He closed his eyes and leaned on the sofa as he tried to reach Aurora again. Unfortunately, she wouldn't open her mind. He then searched through the pack looking for she was with him. He couldn't reach Fennick also and it made him marvel.

Instantly, he stood up from the sofa and headed out of the room. "Where is she?" He thought as he made his way out of the pack building after ordering his guard not to follow him.

In a swift, he had ripped off his clothes, changing into his wolf, he raced down, tracing after Aurora's scent.

The strong rift hit passed her nostrils and she knew it was him. She groaned and turned around on her bed. She pushed her mind away from him and continued to read the new novel she had picked from one of the bookshops some hours ago.

Her wolf kept dangling in her head in joy as his scent hit closer. When she couldn't take it anymore, she raised herself from her bed and headed for the door. She stopped and turned to lean on her door as she tried to ignore it again but her wolf wasn't helping.

"Shut up!" She screamed at her wolf but nothing seemed to change. She got angry and pulled the door open, closing it behind her with the thought of hitting Sage the moment she set her eyes on him. He had offended her and she was ready to show him no mercy.

As she climbed down the stairs she tried to ignore Sora and took the steps that led to the garage. When she could smell him closer, she heard the howling of a wolf and instantly, she knew Sage had shifted. Laughter began to arouse in her and she laughed heartily at the Alpha becoming angry because he was looking for his Luna.

She burst out of the garage gate opened and paused the moment she sighted them. Sage was in his wolf as Sora was standing beside him as they both stared dangerously at her.

Aurora tried to run back in to see Sora but Sora was quick to get to her and knock her down. "I'm sorry, Mrs Horatio," she pleaded as Sora took threatening steps towards her.

"Yes, you are sorry but you wouldn't if you had gone home like I had warned," Sora snarled.

Aurora got up on her feet and used her hands to clean off the dust on her body, "I don't want to see him!" She yelled her eyes on Sage's wolf who growled at her.

She sneered back and turned to her grandmother, "Was that why you hit me and I almost fainted?" She asked Sora and shifted a little bit back when Sora took another step toward her.

"I told you to go home and meet your mate instead you pretend to leave and go in through the garage," Sora uttered.

Aurora shook her head and made an irksome look, "I'm sorry, okay? I'll leave now," she said, walking past Sora and standing in front of the dark wolf snarling at her. "I was going to return to the pack building before, why did you stress yourself coming here?" She asked but waited for no answer and walked past him too towards the entrance of her cottage. She then opened up her mind for him to get through so he could talk to her.

"Get into your wolf, let's go for a run," Sage's mind linked her.

"I don't feel like running again, I've run throughout the day," she told him as they continued to make their way to the pack building.

Sage said nothing more until they got to the pack building. Since it was late at night, he shifted into his human form in front of her while she screamed seeing him naked.

"You're crazy, Sage! Get your clothes on!" She screeched and closed up her face as she started to run away from him. Sage giggled and with his inhumane speed, he ran her into their chamber. She heaved a heavy sigh. Thank goodness it was late and no one was around to see their Alpha shift or else she was going to kill him.

As she walked into the pack building, shifters bowed to greet her in respect. She greeted the ones she was able to greet and headed up to the room. She didn't care to knock on the door so she pushed it open and walked in.

Sage was already putting on a white top and shorts and she felt satisfied. Although she couldn't control herself from clenching onto him, she tried not to reach out to him.

She stood at the entrance of their kitchen and leaned in the door as she watched him prepare a cup of latte for himself and a cup of orange juice for her. "Staying up tonight?" She asked and moved away from where she stood as she smelled the aroma of the burger he was preparing inside the microwave.

"Need to do some research on Alpha Cowell's illness," he informed her while still preparing the drinks.

"I could help you out," she proposed, pulling out the plate of burgers from the microwave.

"You don't have to. Just get some sleep, tomorrow will be another stressful day," he stated.

She said nothing and brought out a tray from the kitchen cabinet. Then, she placed the plate of burger on it and moved to where Sage stood. She collected the cup of orange juice, placed it on the tray and waited for him to finish brewing the latte.

"I'm sorry for reacting that way inside the King's room," she pleaded, gazing at him while he focused on the coffee he was brewing. "I… Uhm…," she paused, looking for a way to apologize to him. "I just couldn't control my anger," she said and Sage turned to her.

"Get on your knees and apologize," he told her and she gasped at him.

"What?!"
