Chereads / My Nerd Mate: I Won't Let Her Go / Chapter 32 - A New Friend

Chapter 32 - A New Friend

Aurora returned to the hall and sighted Sora chattering with Zara then her angry expression which she had on changed into a beautiful smile. She was glad to see that Sora was excited to see her become Luna. She walked up to them but they were too engrossed in their funny conversation and never took notice of her when she got to them. It was when she cleared her throat, they both looked up at her.

"Wow, wow, wow! Look at our future queen," Sora screeched and pulled Aurora to take her seat beside her. Aurora bowed to them and sat comfortably on the chair.

"How do you feel to be the Luna of your pack, Aurora?" Zara asked and chuckled when Aurora shook her head.

"Nervous. Agitated. Afraid and angry," she relayed, earning laughter from the two women. She joined them but they knew she meant what she said.

"Of course, you will. No one ever knew this would happen," Zara tried to assure her.

"It's too sudden," Aurora complained.

Zara smiled and took her hands into hers. "I know it is and you never expected it but trust me, you will love the power you carry now. Whereas it's not g new to you since you are the leader of the pack fighter, I see no reason why you should feel bad."

Aurora nodded in agreement. "I don't want to lose my post as a pack fighter."

"I will talk to Sage about it, okay?" Zara assured and pulled her into a hug.

"Yes," Angie mumbled.

"Your grandmother said you've never introduced Sage to her until she got the news of you becoming Luna. Why don't you inform her about your date with Sage?" Zara asked.

Aurora looked from Zara to Sora and then back to Zara again, "My grandmother said that?" She asked and pointed her index finger to Sora who tapped it away.

"Yes, I said it, I'm I lying?" Sora confronted her.

"You've seen him before? I brought him home," Aurora defended with a frown formed on her face.

Sora laughed sarcastically, "Can you imagine this girl," she said to Zara, referring to Aurora. "She said she brought him home and she didn't introduce him to me."

"I told you he's my boyfriend for Christ's sake!" She shrieked and Sora was able to recollect when she had introduced Sage to her.

"Oh! My bad," she mumbled silently.

Zara couldn't stop laughing at the damnation her new family was displaying in front of her. Somehow she fell in love with them. "Like grandmother like granddaughter," Zara teased between laughter.

"You should always try to remind me of things like this," Sora said to Aurora and scoffed. Most times Sora pretends like she knows nothing but deep down she was always only trying to tease Aurora. "Get me a plate of sandwiches," Sora said to Aurora. Aurora stood up and was about to go when Zara stopped her.

She looks up at Zara, "Yes ma'am?"

"Sit down, you're now a queen and you must behave as one. Don't mind your grandmother. If you need to fetch something like your grandmother has sent you, you just need to call on a maid nearby and ask him or her to get you whatever you need," Zara corrected and called on a maid to help her with what Sora requested. Some seconds later, the sandwich was placed in front of Sora.

"So I love this style of life," Anna uttered and giggled.

Meanwhile, Sage was having a deep conversation on one terrace of the pack building with a new friend he had found among the Alpha. Sage explained to his new friend what had happened between Aurora right from they knew each other.

"That's too weird," the Alpha King known as Alpha Dylan uttered.

"I thought so too," Sage mumbled. "Give me some advice my friend," Sage proposed while his friend began to think of what to do.

"I suggest you meet with the powerful seer from the human world," Alpha Dylan suggested.

"Really? He could get some clues for us?" Sage asked hurriedly. He was ready to do what it takes to claim and become an office mate to Aurora. He was ready to meet with the seer and he wouldn't care what it would cost him.

"Inform me when you're ready to visit him and, I'll help you send some words to him," Alpha Dylan assured and Sage thanked him. Sage then decided to introduce Aurora to Dylan. He looked across the hall and with his strong senses, he was able to find out where she was chatting with the ladies.

"Can you meet me at the terrace?" Sage implored through their mind link and he saw Aurora looking up to find him around the crowd.

When she finally saw him where he stood, she waved at him. "I might not be able to climb up the stairs," she replied and made a puppy look at Sage.

"Okay, but can you try to come outside and meet me at the back of the pack building?" He asked and she nodded her head in agreement. She took excuses from the women she sat down with and ran her way to where Sage asked her to meet with him.

She got to the back of the pack building and sighted Sage laughing hysterically at the joke Dylan was making. She carried her leg as far as she could. She bowed her head in greetings the moment she got to them. Sage then introduced Dylan to Sarah as his new friend.

After the introduction, they all decided to have fun and the horse riding was chosen when Dylan claimed that it was his best game. A Few minutes later, they were already in the garden racing around on each of their horses.

It was almost dusk when they finished having fun. Everyone had already returned to their home and Dylan also returned to the hotel he and the member of his pack had rented for their stay in the lock hearts pack.

Aurora and Sage were given a chamber in the pack since Alpha Cowell instructed them to start living together. The maids had already gone to the mate's houses to pick up their belongings so by the time they got to their chamber everything was already well arranged.

Aurora was the first to sleep off after all her stress before Sage joined her.
