The next morning Jason is awake bright and early. Since he didn't sleep properly he decided to wake up and try to make breakfast. Looking through Gracie's supplies he notices how many different herbs, fruits, and vegetables there are. There are types that look fresh out of a Sci-Fi movie. Jason decided to make a fruit salad to test out most of these weird-looking foods. He begins preparing the salad, chopping up the desired fruits and putting them in a big mixing bowl. Jason could only hope what he grabs was a type of lettuce as they were a sort of ombre color. After a short time, Jason places the big mixing bowl full of the salad in the center of the table while putting two smaller ones on either side. He noticed how much honey Gracie had stored so he decided to bring out a bottle as some sort of dressing. Jason is now excited to try his new creation but sits down at the table and patiently waits for Gracie to wake up.
It did not take too long as the smell of honey was almost intoxicating to pixies. Once Jason had opened the bottle the smell was enough to drag her awake and sleepy flying out into the kitchen. "Whatcha making it smells delicious," Gracie says while yawning. She flies over to her usual seat and plops into it. "Not entirely sure but a type of fruit salad" Jason replies semi shrugging his shoulders. He reaches into the mixing bowl before pulling out enough to fill his bowl. He lightly drizzles the honey over it before passing the bottle over to Gracie. Enthusiastically she copies Jason by grabbing enough salad for her bowl but she drowns her salad in honey. Smiling brightly, Gracie begins to dig into her food. Jason after seeing how Graice was almost devouring her salad began to try the individual fruit pieces. The first one was a reddish-orange fruit that looked semi-like like an apple. However, when biting into it it has the sourness of lemon but also a slight sweetness in the aftertaste. Jason happily eats away enjoying the new food he gets to try.
After breakfast is cleaned up the two head into the living room to discuss preparations. They agreed to leave for the Elven city in two weeks so they have a lot to prepare. "First we need to gather up enough food for the journey. A bit worried that they might not be able to hold enough supplies Jason asks "How are we going to bring everything with us?". Gracie looks blankly at Jason forgetting for a moment he had lost his memory."Huh… oh just say Inventory and you will figure it out". Jason, still confused, says "Inventory", a screen he has not seen before appears and is completely empty. 'Well, it makes sense I need to put stuff in first' Jason thinks to himself.
After a bit more discussion the two head out into the village to pick up a couple of things. As they are heading to the produce stands Jason sees that Fire elemental man from before. This time he's just walking through the street presumably to the stands as well. "Gracie, who is that?" Jason quietly asks, "The fire guy? That's Zachary" Gracie answers his question. Jason decided this is the perfect time to go over and say hello. As the two make their way over to Zachary the unaware Fire elemental continues his stroll through the village. He's not trying to purposefully walk fast but he does so it takes Jason and Gracie a couple of minutes before they are actually able to catch up to the guy.
"Hey!" Jason yells toward Zachary. The man looks behind him semi surprised to see a random man coming towards him and Gracie on his shoulder. "Hello is there something I could help you with?" Zachary asks a bit suspicious of Jason. "Well we were heading to the produced stalls and originally thought you were too so we were going to invite you to tag along but then we just couldn't catch up and it looks like you're just going for a walk now" Jason stammers fully out of breath. Zachary chuckles a bit seeing how exhausted Jason became trying to catch up to him while he was unaware. "Well I was just going for a walk but I'd be ok to tag along to the stalls," Zachary tells the pair. Happily, Jason stands up, he previously was holding onto his knees trying to stabilize his breath. For some unknown reason, he didn't have any stamina in this body. "Ok, but could we maybe walk a bit slower like a horse with how fast you walk" Jason tried joking.
The three begin the journey to the produce stalls. Shockingly they weren't that far from Gracie's house but due to Jason chasing Zachary, they got led away from them a bit. Once the trio reaches their destination Jason is once again left in awe the colors and variety of options for sale on the stands were simply outstanding. Back on Earth, Jason every now and then would get the feeling of eternal beauty when looking at some features like the Aurora Borealis or the Grand Canyon. However, here it was like everywhere he turned something new and exciting was there waiting to be found. Jason didn't forget about all the dangers he'd previously been told but could help but be inspired by the brightness of his new life possibilities. Jason continues to walk and grab the items Gracie points out. Gracie pays the people in her bottles of honey and everyone seems to be more than happy to take the honey. After a brief amount of shopping the three are back in front of Gracie's house. "Thanks for hanging out with us today" Jason happily says slapping Zachary on the back lightly. "No problem if I'm not working I don't normally have a lot to do anyway" Zachary responded a bit surprised by Jason. "Well if you ever need some company stops by we are planning to leave in two weeks though," Jason tells him "Will do! See you two tomorrow" Zachary says before starting to walk away. He normally likes to keep to himself but for some reason, Zachary couldn't resist Jason and Gracies offer.
Jason and Gracie make their way back into the house. After saying their goodbyes to Zachary they both decided it was time for Jason to get in a bit of practice for the day. Continual training is the only way to get used to new skills and incorporate them like body movements. Or at least this is part of what Gracie had told him and what he has experienced through his time watching anime and reading various manga. Gracie flies off Jason's shoulder and heads into the kitchen to organize their newly acquired supplies. Jason heads to the backyard because he would like to train his Earth magic. He now knows he must be careful to not overdo it to not pass out but he would like to grow the power. He has an idea about making camp using Earth magic and it would make life a lot easier and more comfortable. After making his way out to the back he sits down on the ground and begins concentration. He makes three poles rise about a foot out of the ground. After he retracts and recreates them. Like this, he continues his train in an almost trance-like state for around five hours. The only reason he stopped was Gracie coming out to get him due to it getting dark out. The two have dinner before Jason heads off to sleep. He is now beyond tired and couldn't resist the pull of sleep once he had a stomach full of food.
