Gracie flies off of Jason's shoulder and hovers at eye level with him. "First thing is to make sure you are extremely careful, Fire magic is the most dangerous and volatile out of the four elemental magics" Gracie begins her lecture "The moment you begin any Fire spell be careful to not lose focus or you can lose your control over the Fire and it will go berserk burning anything in contact". Jason nods paying close attention as she begins to explain how to cast he does not want to accidentally die. "First close your eyes and imagine a candle flame, watch the flame grow and grow until its a roaring fire then consolidate the fire into a ball" Gracie starts her explanation "After you get to this stage visualize it appearing in front of you and there you go!" she finishes her explanation while producing a mini flame on the tip of her finger. She quickly puts it out before gesturing for Jason to go and give it a try.
Jason closes her eyes and starts off as she's had told him. He pictures a softball-sized ball of flames appearing about 4 feet in front of him. A couple second later he hears Gracie clapping cheerfully so he opens his eyes and sees the screen he had seen the previous three times "Skill Learned - Fire Manipulation". "So that's all the skills I am able to teach you so sorry about that but dang your a real quick study," Gracie tells Jason as she lands back onto his shoulder. "Thank you for teaching me and letting me stay here since you found me," Jason says smiling at Gracie. "Well now all you got to do is practice and you have the potential to be a great mage I can feel it," Gracie says enthusiastically. Jason nods in understanding before starting to walk back to the house. He had decided that after dinner, he shall ask Gracie about leaving the village.
Jason is a bit nervous still and doesn't know how Gracie will take it. He knows he can go by himself but it would be nice to have a friend for company. Jason tends to be a social butterfly so in situations he is alone Jason tends to be more anxiety-ridden and paranoid. He was having fun here in this new world and didn't want any of his previous problems to affect him still. As Jason makes his way inside Gracie flew into the bathroom. She was covered in flower petals and pollen so she wanted to get clean. Jason in the meantime made his way to the kitchen, he had a craving for a baked potato so that was the meal he began working on. Luckily Gracie had all the ingredients if not things that look like it would substitute so Jason was able to finish making the food. He sets the table and brings over the food before sitting down. He to try and fills his glass with the water using magic while waiting for Gracie to finish up.
Jason has to concentrate a bit before it started to work. However right after he imagined the hydrogen and oxygen combining to form the water there was a slight warm tingling behind his ears. As soon as this feeling came it went and he could hear the water pouring into the cup so he opened his eyes. Jason watches as the cup fills an as it nears filling he cancels his spell. He then does the same with Gracie's cup. Shortly after Jason finishes up Gracie comes flying out of the bathroom and makes herself comfortable on the table. "This smells great!" She says happily before starting to dig into the food in front of her. "Thanks, you" Jason smiles in response "Have a nice bath?" Gracie nods with her mouth full "Mhmm….Nice and relaxing" she replies after finishing chewing. "That's good, by the way, do you know of any other bigger towns or cities around here?" Jason decided to try to casually lean into his questions.
"Ummm there are two I can remember off the top of my head" Gracie begins "There is an Elven city to the South of here or a Dwarven fortress city way up north" She finishes answering Jason and then takes a sip of her water. "So you would say the Elven city is closer correct?" Jason asks curiously. "That's right and it's pretty expansive it houses a normal residence of over 500,000 Elves and other races" Gracie again answers. This time Jason is visually shocked as he wasn't expecting a city with that magnitude after staying in this village. "Will you take me there?!" Jason asks eagerly no longer nervous but more so excited. "Sure! but we will leave in two weeks, we need time to prepare but you also have to get used to the magic you just gained" Gracie replied back excited as she had been looking for any excuse to leave. The two finish eating both happy for their own reasons.
After dinner, Jason collects the dishes and goes off into the kitchen to wash them. Gracies flies off to get ready for bed due to having a full warm stomach. Once Jason had finished up he climbed onto his bed and began practicing his Wind magic. It was the only type he could train in the house and he wasn't quite ready to sleep yet. After a while, Jason begins to understand how to use Wind magic a little better and it becomes easier for him to use it. He still has to focus just not as hard or as long. The content he decides to drift off to sleep for the night.
That night Jason had the strangest dream. He was floating above his body in the cabin. Everything was as it was after he had fallen asleep, after a bit of time he began to fly across the world seeing things he had never seen before. At this point Jason's dream is feeling more and more real, however, he is enjoying this moment because he had always wanted to fly. Jason continues flying through the sky until he hears a loud roar, thinking nothing of it he continues off flying in the sky. All of a sudden he is jolted awake, a moment before he was fully emersed in the jaws of a dragon. Jason a bit panicked sits up and starts regulating his breathing. Not fully understanding just what happened is able to calm him self after a while. Eventually, he is able to fall back into a light sleep but isn't able to get a descents night's rest.
