Jason focused his mana again and this time did the opposite from when he made the pillar. He focused on slowly drawing the Mana from the ground until he was lowered back down safely. No new skill was created but Jason was proud of himself. The ground is perfectly the way it was before any magic was used on it. Jason could feel the earth as it was reshaping and it was an odd feeling, to say the least. The best way he could describe it is a tickling behind his ears that was warm. Jason spent the next couple of hours practicing his earth magic. He found out he can make a 2-foot-long spear almost instantaneously or if he focused enough he could create a 5x5 wall. After he created the wall though he felt a wave of exhaustion he never felt before. He saw the Mp bar in the corner of his vision quickly drop until he lost consciousness.
Gracie, unaware of anything, has been busy preparing lunch. After finishing making their food she decided to relax for the night. She flies out of her house to check on Jason before drawing a bath. As she enters her backyard she's both stunned and amused. Jason was passed out snoring on the ground right in front of a decent-sized wall. Gracie moved her hand and reshaped her yard to normal. After her yard was fixed she used her wind magic to carry Jason into her house before dropping him on her couch. She didn't think that Jason would get such a quick understanding of magic, however the size of the wall she saw Gracie deemed Jason an adequate magic user. Gracie left and started her bath. She thought to herself 'whenever he wakes up I just teach him the other three to let him experiment'. Jason ends up sleeping throughout the day and the night. Gracie normally would be worried but she knows that Jason's mana was depleted and it needed its time to regenerate.
The next morning Gracie has food prepared and goes over to Jason. He should be about ready to wake up so she sits in one of the chairs and waits. She patiently eats her breakfast until she hears the groan she was waiting for. "Morning sleeping beauty" Gracie teases as Jason sits up holding his head. He has a slight pain in the back of his head. "What happened, why does my head feel like this?" Jason asks before shaking his head around. He feels submerged in slime or something that's making him slower. "Well, you overused your mana and passed out for about half a day" Gracie shrugs as if it was nothing. Jason, starting to feel normal again, gets up and walks to the table to join Gracie for breakfast. "Well, how can you tell how much you have then…" Jason says mumbling as he sits down and begins to eat his food. Jason might feel normal but he is still quite exhausted. "You need to focus your vision on the blue bar where your vision numbers should appear. After you figure out your capacity you then should figure out how much each spell costs" Gracie starts answering him "With more training, your mana capacity will grow naturally or if you have extra status points you can add them to Intelligence or Wisdom to increase aspects of it as well". Jason nods as he continues eating lucky Gracie made extra food to account for his added hunger from mana loss. "Well after you get yourself ready we have a very important lesson today so make sure you get yourself focused before then," Gracie says before flying off she casts a wind spell beforehand to bring the used dishes with her into the kitchen.
Jason sits at the table thinking. He needs to find a bigger town or city soon. There he can get the information and resources for what he wants. Jason has no idea why he was brought here but he won't let it go to waste so he decided to become an adventurer. Jason has no idea how to ask Gracie. He would need her help in finding any place he'd need to go to. Hopefully, she'd be able to tag along or even know where another settlement is. After a while, Jason pinches his arm to snap himself outta his thoughts. Gracie told him there was more training so he could ask her after he decided. Before getting up Jason saw that his MP is at 345/350. It was almost back to being full so he decided to follow Gracie out to the backyard. Jason notices Gracie doing something with the flowers around her house. Jason wasn't sure but he announced his presence and she came flying over to him. "Oh you are already ready that's good," Gracie says "If you're ready I'd like to teach you the other three elemental magics, I feel you will perform better after learning them all ''. Jason nods, sitting on the ground, He focuses solely on her. Gracie begins to show him water magic.
Jason learns that he has to form the water with magic or control already existing water. To form water he has to visualize it Gracie says. Jason rolled his eyes with that little to no help, he then closed his eyes and started picturing molecules. First the hydrogen, then the oxygen, and lastly combined into water. Once he finished this process water began to form in a ball in front of his face. He continues to focus on the ball of water until he hears a ding which makes him lose focus and drop the water. Jason opens his eyes to see a screen appear. "Skill Learned - Water Manipulation". He smiles as he has gained another skill. "Ok I'm ready for the next one," Jason says, still happy about learning the skills. "Ok, the next I'll show you wind magic then," Gracie says before then starting to show him how she uses wind magic. Jason again focuses on her as she gives her brief demonstration
Wind magic was a lot harder to grasp than Water magic. First, he had to envision the air around him as its own entity. The best way he could describe it physically is like a non-newtonian fluid. When pressure is applied to it the wind takes form, when left to itself it's flowing like water. He then has to focus on controlling a small area of this vast entity to act in the manner he wants. Jason sends out bursts of mana into the surrounding air and begins to try and take control. He thinks of a breeze passing by and suddenly he is pushed forward a bit. "Skill Learned - Wind Manipulation" Jason sees as he opens his eyes. He is extremely pleased, The skill was learned only after a brief period of focus. "I learned this skill too," Jason says to Gracie. She is visibly shocked by how quickly he learned it, Wind magic normally takes a long period of focus and meditation. "Well let's take a quick break before learning Fire Manipulation. That is normally the hardest so I'll require your full focus" Gracie says before flying off into the flower bed next to her house. Jason, a bit conflicted, decided to sit down and think about things. He is extremely happy that he has had an easy time learning skills, however now he needs to think about how he is going to ask Gracie about leaving the village. Jason sits there in thought for a couple of minutes before Gracie flies over onto his shoulder snapping back into reality. Spooked, he looked down at her "You ready to give it a shot?" Gracie asks enthusiastically. Jason carefully stands up not to drop her off all of the sudden. "Sounds good what do I have to do?" Jason remarks back.
