Mining continued. However, the distance of the mining team from the two parked ships made more Ogxigs aim at them due to the vibrations and loud noises that the mining machines made.
Jenzigh's greed returned to the surface when she discovered that the gold in this new location was more plentiful and easier to take than in the previous one.
When they initially planned that this mining would only be done in one round, she thought that there was still enough time to do it in several rounds.
"The.. the storm is coming soon. We… have to leave immediately," The witch Helena said in a trembling voice.
"Do I have to sew your lips to keep your mouth shut?" Jenzigh replied, keeping an eye on the screen tab she was holding.
Helena clenched her jaw. She didn't want her life to end in this place and this state. She was the strongest in her clan and was the future of her clan whose members had now been massacred. If she died, then her clan lineage would stop here.
The witches, who were on the verge of extinction, would completely disappear from this universe. The wizarding kingdom would forever be a tale only. She was incapable of carrying out a task that had been passed down for hundreds of generations. It was all because she wasn't strong enough.
Ogxig's attacks grew fiercer and their numbers continued to multiply. Many soldiers were killed in mining at this new location.
Doma could see that they were getting more and more cornered. With that, he thought of ending this mining.
"Jenzigh. Karek has just reported that the storm is close enough. We'd better end this" Doma said.
"Zefanya reported that there is a bit of space on the other ship. We can fill it up. Wait for the truck that just left to come back. We'll make it the last one." Jenzigh explained.
Doma's brow furrowed. "Are you kidding? I don't think the storm will wait that long."
"Calm down, Doma. I believe it was just a normal storm. Even the acidity on this planet is not as bad as we think. The protective clothes and all the machines can withstand exposure for several dozen minutes."
"I'm honestly not too sure about it. But if you feel that way, I will go along with you this time. But you shall remember that I do not want to bear if this decision of yours brings a big loss."
Jenzigh raised her eyebrows briefly. "Of course I know. You are Doma Bardahon,"
Doma let out a short sigh. "Speed up the mining process. Our soldiers are dwindling. I'm afraid we can't last too long." He said before leaving to fight again.
"All right," Jenzigh replied.
As Doma requested, Jenzigh sped up the gold mining process even though it meant that a lot of soil would be carried along - which meant that there would be a lot of trash and a little bit of gold in this last round. But she decided to ignore it.
At least, they could still bring gold at the last second. Not the slightest bit of time and opportunity was wasted. She would use everything to the last drop.
However, Jenzigh's plan seemed to have another obstacle. Suddenly, there was a buzzing sound like a helicopter coming.
When they looked up, they were shocked to find several Ogxigs flying above their heads.
Yes, in the end, the flying Ogxigs that reportedly were only a little were also provoked to come to them.
Ogxig's attack from the ground was already so much troublesome. Now those who were also attacking from the air would obviously destroy everything.
Jenzigh, who had been looking relaxed all this time, gave a nervous look on her face now. Her eyes watched the soldiers being snatched by the monsters so that the fortress of protection for the mining team began to crack.
"We have to leave immediately. I beg you… I don't want to die here." Helena begged.
But Jenzigh ignored the witch who ended up crying. She touched the communication device to talk to Doma.
"Doma, can we deal with this?"
"We'd better finish it now. Pull back." Doma replied as he continued to shoot at the Ogxigs that were flying above their heads.
Jenzigh clicked her tongue. The last truck had just arrived and they were loading mines. Feeling unwilling to waste anything, she pressed her luck to keep filling the truck even though the situation was getting out of control.
"There!"
Helena's exclamation made Jenzigh turn to the side to find an Ogxig quickly aiming at them because the guard on their right side had gone.
Then quickly, a mass of dust that was combined in a single formation shot around the Ogxig's head and disappeared. Within a second, the monster stopped moving as if it had turned into a statue.
Jenzigh's superpower was controlling small particles such as dust and bacteria. The method she used to kill her opponent was to insert large amounts of those particles into her opponent's body and attack important organs such as the brain.
"The truck is full!" One of the miners exclaimed.
"Pull everyone back. We're going back to the ship right now!" Jenzigh ordered everyone.
Jenzigh let go of the tab screen in her hand to join the fight against the Ogxigs to keep her mining machine from being damaged by them.
Although reluctant to help those damn villains, the witch Helena was forced to muster her strength to join the fight against Ogxigs that were swarming them so that she could survive.
All she wanted was to get back on the ship and get off this planet. After that, she would think of a way to escape herself from them.
Doma noticed some Ogxigs seemed to have left them and entered the ground. But before even having time to check the surroundings, Karek got in their communication line.
"The storm is moving faster. It will soon be right behind you!"
"Jenzigh!" Doma turned to the woman.
"Hey! Move quickly!" Jenzigh exclaimed to the workers who were still pulling the machine drill from the ground.
Before long, white wind waves began to appear from a distance. It was a storm that brought dense acidic air which gave the reason why the acidity of the air around them had been below normal from the start.
The Ogxigs trapped in the storm melted away in just in a count of seconds.
"Ugh! Damn it! Just leave the machines behind! They are too slow!" Doma exclaimed to Jenzigh.
"Are you insane?! They are my machines. They are extremely expensive and very difficult to manufacture. We will not return without them!"
"Damn you, woman. She will only make me lose more soldiers." Doma muttered.
Even though the storm was coming, there were still many Ogxigs surrounding them and continuing to attack. Meanwhile, they had to quickly run back to the ships.
Doma saw this as a loss and he did not want to be involved in it. In the beginning, he had said that any harm caused by Jenzigh's greedy decision shall not weigh on him. That way, Doma would do what he should do.
"All Bardahon soldiers! Withdraw now. Leave the machines. We're leaving this place!"
