Chereads / Villain Turning Point Mission / Chapter 12 - A Deal

Chapter 12 - A Deal

With light steps, Rohan went inside the control room. Before he even set foot inside, he heard a commotion that tickled his stomach.

"This ship must be landed!" Jasper said with both eyes shining, ready to shoot the man in front of him.

"This is my ship and I don't want to take that big of a risk. We're only going to take Jenzigh but not those two damn machines. There won't be enough time to park them inside." Doma said with a gun pointed at them.

"He's right. We'll be caught in the storm if we wait for the machines to come inside."

Rohan's voice made all of them turn their heads. The purplish-eyed man stepped in. "The movement of the storm is faster than expected and you are moving closer to it. How funny,"

"We are saving your mother, Rohan; our clan leader," Edra hissed.

Rohan glanced at the man with a crooked smile. "You think I care?"

Rohan's attitude made Doma almost smile. Of course, Rohan was the most rational man in this place. He didn't care about anything but himself. At work, Rohan was a reliable professional figure.

"However.."

Doma's thoughts were instantly dispersed when Rohan continued his sentence while casting a glance at him.

"Isn't this mission only to be declared complete when the profit sharing and loss calculation are out?" Rohan asked.

Doma's brow furrowed. "What are you trying to say, Rohan?"

"The machines are one of the main properties of this mission, and so is this ship. Both can certainly be damaged if exposed to acidic air. But we all know that this ship has armour, while the machines do not. Saving the property of one party at the expense of the other is unfair."

Doma chuckled. "Very wise, Rohan. Unfair you say? Remember that you are a villain! Justice is not in your dictionary. And Jenzigh herself has agreed that she will bear the risk of her decision to mine multiple times there."

Rohan smiled faintly and nodded. "Of course villains also have justice in their dictionary, Doma. But that justice is an advantage for ourselves only. Haven't you left the mining team when all the mining results have been loaded into the ships? In the end, Jenzigh's greedy decision is also in your favour."

Doma was silent. He looked around to find people staring at each other. They seem to agree with Rohan's words.

Yes, even though villains did not have the rules of justice in their dictionary, a collaboration must still be carried out professionally, especially if both parties were equally strong.

"In the end, the decision is yours, captain." Rohan continued his words while keeping his eyes on Doma. "I am not the leader of Egoxar. But I'm sure Jenzigh won't stay silent about your cheating. In fact, I'm quite curious what it will be like when a war occurred between Egoxar and Bardahon."

'You damn brat!' Doma growled inwardly.

'So clever, Rohan.' Jasper smiled.

With all the facts Rohan had said, of course war would occur if Doma remained unwilling to safe the machines while there was still a chance.

Doma would be declared cheated in this mission, and the war would occur in no time. Alliances for decades would crumble just because of the erosion on their ships. This was a big thing that Doma had to consider.

"We'll close the door when the storm is about to hit the ship," Doma said as he lowered his gun.

Everyone lowered their guns. Then Karek immediately started the ship back and slowly landed it.

"Open the north door to pull Jenzigh up!" Edra ordered.

"Yes," Karek replied.

Outside, Jenzigh was still fighting the Ogxigs. They could only move bit by bit.

Jenzigh knew that there was an argument on the ship over Doma's disapproval of landing back to pick up the two Egoxar mining machines.

However, his precious son: Rohan Egoxar had put Doma into a corner. Indeed, bringing Rohan on any major mission was never disappointing. The man always seemed unconcerned. He even rarely put his hands in every fight. But, he would appear at the most unexpected times and save the situation.

That was why you didn't have to ask Rohan to do anything as he always knew what he had to do.

The ship's windows opened. The soldiers pointed their guns down to fire at Ogxig that were swarming the mining team like ants swarming sugar.

The large door of the ship which was used specifically to store mining products and as a place to park trucks and mining machines finally opened.

Jaster and Edra throw some of their soldiers out to fight against Ogxigs. That way, the miners could park the machines on the ship.

However, they realized that the parking space was too cluttered by haphazardly parked trucks and also because they put a small portion of the mine there.

"Stupid!" Jenzigh growled.

In fact, it was Jenzigh who ordered to store some of the mining products in the parking lot because the mining product storage space couldn't fit anymore. But she ordered it because she knew that the space in the parking space was still quite large if all the trucks were arranged neatly.

The rush to fly the ship made them park the trucks carelessly because Doma had thought from the beginning to leave the mining machines.

Quite many trucks were simply left near the entrance, and blocked the machines from getting inside.

Jenzigh turned her head toward the approaching storm. Their time was getting thinner, even the Ogxigs that were surrounding them began to realize that it was time to go underground for cover.

Seeing workers trying to move trucks at the same time felt like a nightmare to her. A glance of a fool even could judge that it would take them a long time to break the jam.

On the other hand, they still had to load the two giant machines into the ship after all the trucks were arranged. All that activity would cause them to melt into the ground by the acid storm.

Racking her brain, Jenzigh turned to the witch Helena who was still trying to attack the stupid Ogxig that prioritized eating over surviving the storm.

What a fool! Jenzigh even forgot that she had a witch by her side. Yes, she believed that the witch was still hiding many of her abilities.

"Hey, you!" Jenzigh summoned her.

Helena turned her head at the same time she managed to kill the last Ogxig that was about to attack her.

"Do something to move these two machines onto the ship," Jenzigh ordered.

Helena shook her head. "I can't do anything about it."

"Oh really? Then you will stay here to look after my machines." Jenzigh smiled as she occasionally glanced at the approaching storm.

"No! Please don't do that. Don't you people need me for another mission? I can't do anything to save these machines."

"This mission is the biggest mission of the year. I don't even know if you're still needed for future missions. Leaving you here is tantamount to taking out the trash." Jenzigh answered.

"Please! Do not do that!" Helena stared at the approaching storm with trembling eyes.

"Then rack your brains; how do you move my machines onto the ship." Jenzigh pointed to the ship's large door.

Several trucks had been removed to clear the way. But all could judge that they no longer had the time to put the machines in.

"There is no more time. If the big door was kept open, the acidic air would enter and destroy everything inside. Close the door now and fly the ship!" Doma commanded.

This time, Doma didn't make any selfish decisions. It was Egoxar's side that would be at fault if they still insisted on keeping the ship on the ground. In the end, the mining machines had to be abandoned.

However, Helena nodded quickly and said, "All right! I'll put them in. But you have to promise to save me from here. Don't let me die."

Jenzigh smiled faintly and nodded. "Sure,"
