Chereads / Villain Turning Point Mission / Chapter 7 - Mining Starts

Chapter 7 - Mining Starts

"I fought with you once, Rohan. I know your strength and attack pattern." Rocketman said.

He moved sideways, following Rohan's leisure steps to keep the punk in his sight. He still remembered how quickly and suddenly the man could attack.

"To be honest, I had forgotten how was the fight you were talking about because it was too boring for me. But you were lucky that I was still quite young back then. However, the funny thing here is that you talk as if you were the winner when you were actually the w*enie." Rohan laughed.

Doma turned to Bilea who had been watching Rohan in disbelief.

"Are you sure he's the gentleman you promised me?" The girl asked sarcastically.

Doma cleared his throat. "Well, I thought the joke was pretty funny."

"You know that's not the right way to treat your daughter, don't you?" Jenzigh glanced at Doma slightly in annoyance. She also did not want to have a husband like her own son.

"That's why I need my wife," Doma answered.

"Watch out!"

Rohan's exclamation made the conversation of the three people suddenly break up. They quickly dodged away as a giant fireball shot toward them.

Rohan's presence felt like a guarantee of security for them so they could chat at will even if there was an enemy in the same room as them.

"Damn you! Talk somewhere else with cups of tea!" Rohan hissed.

The shield he had just formed to protect the three fools slowly melted away.

"Are you going to fight him alone?" Doma asked.

"You're still asking? Didn't you hear that he asked his limbs to be scattered on the floor? I will grant that." Rohan replied.

Then his long chain moved longer and its end was rounded to be a handle. "Withdraw all the guards. I want my playground to be as spacious as possible."

"We're almost there." Edra smiled. Both eyes kept watching the big screen in front of him.

"I will prepare the soldiers," Jaster said.

"All right. I'll go to my post." Rohan too got up from his seat.

"Wait a minute, young man. To your post? What do you mean? What are you planning?" Doma asked curiously.

"Preparing the bait," Rohan replied in his steps.

Doma and Jaster quickly walked beside him.

"I don't think using bait was the right decision for this mission -or precisely- this location," Doma said.

"Why not? I threw away all the corpses of my enemies from my fifteenth war on this planet. They're pretty good at gathering Ogxigs." Rohan replied.

"I mean, what's the point of doing that, Rohan? Why do you want to gather when we should be hiding from them?" Jaster asked.

"Hide from them? Do you think we can do that? They can smell your body odour and the arrival of this ship. Throwing that trash will distract them so this ship can land smoothly." Rohan replied.

"Then, I'll ask some of my men to help you with that. I heard you smashed him into shapeless. Throwing him away might be troublesome for you." Jaster said.

"He is now turned to be a mess. But it doesn't matter. Just leave it all to me. I'll meet you around the open door. And, watch out for ground cracks." Rohan said before leaving them.

The ships moved through the air layer of the planet Ogx. Thirty Gines were placed at every corner of the ships. A long, thick cable was attached to their spine. They were assigned to protect the ship's body from the acidic air of the planet Ogx.

"He's completely destroyed," Jaster muttered while shaking his head when he saw the figure of Rohan doing his work through the screens of the guard cameras located at various points of the ship.

The body parts were being dumped from the flying ship. It was Rocketman's body. It seemed that Rohan really kept his words.

Ogxig had warm blood so it was effortlessly to detect their presence using a heat reader.

Rocketman's body really managed to get the Ogxig's attention. In just a short time, the monsters were running around to swarm him to enjoy the fresh flesh and blood of Helomus.

This was a sumptuous feast for the Ogxigs because they usually could only eat each other, and Ogxigs were not a pleasant meal, considering their tough shells and the black tar blood that ran between their few of flesh.

Everyone wore special clothes and helmets to protect their bodies from the acidic air.

Jenzigh stood beside the witch Helena. They also wore protective clothing and were guarded by several guards.

As before, Helena was wearing a helmet that was connected to a screen that was used to see what she was looking at.

The small screen connected to the helmet was held by Jenzigh, who was the leader of this gold mining mission.

Before the ship actually landed, Helena had looked deep into the ground for the area which had much pure gold.

Two spaceships landed. The door opened, then all the workers and soldiers got off the massive ships. Mining machines also moved down from the two ships.

As planned, the witch was assigned to continuously monitor through under the ground to direct the miners to the most appropriate point to break the rock-hard ground.

"There are so many of them. We will not survive. We will die!" Helena muttered with a trembling body. This was the first time she had seen so many monstrous creatures in such a small area.

"Shut up!" Jenzigh snapped at her as she continued to study the small screen tab she was holding. "You better work well if you don't want to be their next meal."

With her mouth closed, Helena opened her arms wide. She closed her eyes and tried to focus even though she was terrified of the monsters that roamed beneath their feet.

Jenzigh's smile grew wide as the gigantic mining machines stopped at the point she saw had the most gold.

"Prepare the soldiers! Our gold is six kilometres underground and there are a lot of Ogxigs around!" Jenzigh exclaimed.

The entire army led by Doma and his children moved around the mining machine.

The machines with drills, claws and running rails were started. The machines that could move 360 degrees began to drill into the rock-hard ground, causing the area around it to vibrate violently.

However, loud noises and strong vibrations quickly alerted the Ogxigs that the uninvited guests had disturbed their hives.

The Ogxigs began to approach the two giant ships carrying lots of fresh flesh and blood. It would be a huge feast party for them.

"Get ready! They're coming!" A Gine army chief exclaimed.
