Chapter 6 - An Up Hill Battle

Michael sat there for awhile thinking and contemplating. He truly felt a bit depressed after hearing Uriel's information. Had he known his start would be so terrible he probably would've chosen a different talent. But in this situation there's no point in regretting it now.

"Before I ask my next question I need to know. Is that everything I'm going up against?" Asked Michael who wanted to be prepared for the worst but realizing that his imagination couldn't keep up with this new world to even know what the worst could be.

"Well, all gravity talent users are being hunted by vampires, and you don't have a weapon nor any money." Stated Uriel with an expression of joy after watching Michael's mood plummet.

"Ok, first can you explain talents and grades to me before we continue?" Also, why are vampires hunting gravity talent users, and what are these heaven blessed individuals?"

Uriel was surprised he wasn't given this information beforehand and started wondering what her father could have been thinking to send Michael there with next to no information.

"All talents in this world are assessed and awakened at the entry point of every teenager's high school life. Meaning that at the age of fourteen, every teenager must have their talent awakened and assessed by their government. Talents come assessed from SS Ranked all the way to F Rank. This is also the system used to gauge each individual's strength, most prodigies awaken to E Rank and almost all are racing to reach D Rank before participating in the school assessment."

Michael was relieved that the grading system was similar to his old world and easy enough to follow. Now he was itching to find out about the heaven blessed children.

"As for the heaven blessed kids you want to know about, they are as described by their title. They are children chosen by the heavens to lead this generation and given the proper abilities and circumstances to do so."

"So who are the heavens?" Asked Michael who is now once again totally confused.

"My father is the presiding God of this universe. Because he owns multiple universes, he needs a manager to manage every world underneath him. To accomplish that goal he created the heavens, an entity that manages and watches every world individually for him. The heavens weren't too happy to see that my father's champion is a none native, so they'll bend a few rules to give their favorite children more power."

"Why do their children as you say, need more power?" Asked Michael who had a very strong premonition that he won't like this answer.

"To kill you three and prove that it's still proficient in its job."

(Every time I get a good answer, I just have to ask a question and receive more and more terrible news.) Michael was starting to feel that forfeiting this contest my be for the best, if it's even an option.

"How worried should I be about this new development?"

"Not any more worried than before, they can't cause direct harm or interfere with your personal decisions or situations. Their children on the other hand, will be worthy advisories in the coming days. So, don't just focus on beating the other two champions, prioritize defeating this entire world, only then will you truly come out on top as the winner."

Feeling encouraged, Michael was ready to ask about the vampires before he heard a sudden…

KNOCK! KNOCK!

"WAKE UP MICHAEL!!!"
