Chapter 39 - Water Prison (1)

Groaning and Growling were still coming from the Ship, there seemed to be too many of those things as even the steel door would shake once in a while.

The Control Room was unfortunately not on the deck, if someone wished to go to it they needed to head inside, through the sea of death and blood.

Ariel, who was the short haired woman in the Gym outfit kept pacing around, looking all around the Ship for anything to do.. Any idea or path she could use, but unfortunately there was nothing other than water and the endless groaning and crazy bashing of the door.

"This is hopeless!" She muttered, looking around at the people that were still cowering all over the deck. "Useless fuckers.. I should have left the moment I heard about the first guy leaving.. If that damn Captain didn't put his men to guard the last boat"

"And go to the Hotel? That man is probably dead by now" The bearded man approached Ariel. He was a kind looking man but a gleam of cunningness would sometimes show, making Ariel wary of him. 'This guy is most likely the most dangerous person on the Ship!' She thought to herself.

"What makes you think he's dead?" Ariel asked. "The Hotel might have a lot of Walkers but a fight in an open space is a hundred times better than here"

"An open space also means being surrounded or swarmed" The man said. "Don't forget, the passengers on this Ship are most likely a hundred times less than the residents of the Hotel, which means a herd, which means death!"

'Like i thought, he already thought that far ahead, cunning bastard… Never imagined someone named Bob would be like this' She thought to herself before speaking. "I don't think all of these Zombies or whatever are piled up at the beach, so i assume he's either still hiding somewhere there or already left looking for a safer place by boat"

"Maybe" Bob nodded.

As they spoke, the Ship started to slightly shake before gasps and muffled screams came from people as they looked over the railing.

"Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven…" People started praying as they held their hands together while some started weeping and others just looked with their mouths open.

Ariel and Bob looked confused as they ran towards the railing to look.

A shadow.. A shadow so large that even the giant Cruise Ship looked like an ant in its presence.

"What in God's name is that?" Ariel looked with wide eyes, a feeling of fear she never experienced before drowned her, muffling the noises surrounding her. This was a fear that only a few experienced before, when no will or power will help you, a great overwhelming and suffocating feeling of weakness… Ariel will remember this feeling till the moment of her death, where she knew that she could do nothing but wait for her inevitable demise.

"Is this the body of that hand?" She stuttered as she spoke softly, her knees weak and her arms heavy.

"No" Bob said, sweat covering his forehead. He experienced the same feeling Ariel did, but for each of them will hold a different result.

"No? What else could it be?" Ariel asked with a low voice.

"This is not A thing, it's multiple!" Bob said as his eyes jumped from one spot to another, analyzing it.

"Multiple?" Ariel gasped as she looked around. In the shadow where light could not pass there were small gaps that showed beyond it. This discovery though did not give either of them any peace of mind, as their fear stood firmer than before.

"These things came from the direction we came from.. From where that Castle emerged from the sea!" Bob explained as he looked all over for anything that was trying to climb onto the Ship, if that happened or started to happen there was nothing they could do other than wait for their deaths or fight until their last breath. Luckily none of these things had done anything yet.

"All of these?" Ariel asked, flabbergasted.

"The Castle, it managed to emerge and even stand above us even with how deep the sea was, which means.." Bob was cut off mid-sentence.

"Which means it's too fucking big!" Ariel finished it.

The shadow.. Or shadows, passed as the people could barely breathe properly. Not so long after, it passed them completely, going towards god knows where as if they were on a mission… heading the call of something as they swam in a disorderly formation.. But a formation nonetheless.

"First it started with that large hand, then those fucking Undead looking creatures, then these things…" Bob spoke. "How many Castles do you think have emerged around the world? Will the military be able to do something?"

"Do you think that Nuklear Bomb was attacking the large entity underneath the water or these things?" Ariel asked.

"Whatever it is, I hope it dies!" Bob took a deep breath calming himself down, trying to go back to the same state he was in before, but he failed. The feeling of his heart being clenched and squeezed by something didn't stop as his eyes shone brighter.. His resolve to survive soared as he grit his teeth.

'Whatever the gods think they're doing.. Whatever evil came into our world.. I will not go down so easily… COME AT ME YOU FUCKERS!'
